Jagan's popularity unshaken, says YSRCP leader at meet
Kurasala Kannababu, regional coordinator for the YSR Congress Party in the North Andhra region, urged all-party leaders and activists on Thursday to highlight the failures of the Chandrababu Naidu-led government and raise concerns over the partial implementation of the 'Super-Six' assurances made prior to the 2024 general elections. He, along with ex-minister Botcha Satyanarayana and YSRCP-Vizianagaram district and zilla parishad chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao, reviewed the party activities in all mandals and villages over the last one year. Speaking at the event, he said that within a year, the NDA government had failed on all fronts and had lost the support of the people. He claimed that the participation of large crowds at the recent meetings held in Kurnool, Prakasam and Guntur districts by ex-chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy demonstrates that his image remains intact. Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana alleged that the government had intentionally ignored Mr. Jagan's security though it was supposed to ensure adequate security as per Z+ category norms. Under the 'Babu Surity-Mosam Guarantee' programme designed by the YSRCP high command, Mr. Majji Srinivasa Rao asked all leaders to take up door-to-door campaign to explain the government's failures. Former MLAs Kadubandi Srinivasa Rao, Sambangi China Venkata Appalanaidu and others were attended the meeting.

The YSRCP on Sunday (June 1) announced plans to observe June 4 as 'Vennupotu Dinam' to mark one year of the formation of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh. As part of this, the party will hold protests various locations to highlight the government's failure over the past year. A meeting to discuss the preparations was held at the YSRCP office in Visakhapatnam, led by Visakhapatnam district YSRCP president K.K. Raju and attended by senior leaders, including former Minister and MLC Botcha Satyanarayana, Rajya Sabha MP Golla Babu Rao, MLC Varudu Kalyani and former MLA T. Nagi Reddy. 'Schemes like Thalli Ki Vandanam, Rythu Bharosa and free bus travel for women remain unfulfilled,' he said, accusing the NDA of neglecting welfare and development initiatives and instead focusing on targeting YSRCP leaders. Other party leaders echoed the statements and claimed that the public has been expressing dissatisfaction on the current government.
