Boxing Jake Paul hangs up on Piers Morgan in heated interview

Don't miss out on the headlines from Boxing/MMA. Followed categories will be added to My News. Jake Paul dramatically cut short his interview with Piers Morgan after the host questioned his boxing career. The former YouTube star, who will enter the ring with Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this weekend in Anaheim, California, was a guest on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Thursday to promote the fight when the discussion became heated. UFC 317 Topuria vs Oliveira | SUN 29 JUN 12PM AEST | One of the biggest fight cards of the year has arrived. Spain's Ilia Topuria looks to capture the vacant lightweight title against former champion, Charles Oliveira | Order Now with Main Event on Kayo Sports. 'He's a dumba** and so it's going to be apparent on Saturday when he's the one that gets knocked out. I'm being so honest, man, this guy is easy work,' Paul told Morgan of Chavez Jr via video link. 'People don't realise, I'm a real killer. I really f***ing do this sh*t. 'YouTube, this YouTube, Disney that.' This sh*t is not a joke. The interview went off to a bad start with Piers Morgan calling Jake Paul's headwear 'blatant cultural appropriation'. 'I'm knocking out the best of the best, beating all of these people time and time again. 'And it's about time, that you old heads and all these f***ing boxers who think they know about the sport, put some respect on my name.' Among the boxers Paul defeated via unanimous decision was former champion Mike Tyson, who was 58 when they fought last year in Texas. The fight was streamed on Netflix at the time and a whopping 65 million people tuned in. 'I think you're a great YouTuber, a great influencer. I admire what you try to do in boxing,' Morgan said. 'But I do think when you actually come up against a proper, serious boxer, and I suspect that Julio César Chévez Jr may be that person, it could all come crashing down.' When the British journalist added that Paul, 28, would never have defeated 58-year-old Tyson when he was in his prime, saying 'you wouldn't have lasted 10 seconds', the young boxer got defensive. 'You don't actually know that! You can't sit there and say that. I think anything is possible,' Paul hit back. 'That's why self-belief is the most powerful thing in the world. You don't think I can be a Mike Tyson? I don't think you go to the gym!' Following some back-and-forth insults, Paul hung up on Morgan, who found the entire segment hilarious. Despite Morgan insisting he had been to the gym twice that week, Paul continued his rant, saying: 'You're still a fat a**. 'I think the problem here, Piers, is that you think that your opinion matters,' he said. 'I'm just taking your audience to sell pay per views. I don't give a f**k about your show, dumb a**. 'This is a f**king business enterprise. Buy the pay per view on Saturday, June 28, me versus Julio César Chávez Jr. Thank you, tune in everybody!' And with that, he was out, leaving Morgan to laugh about what just transpired. 'Cheers Jake, really enjoyed that, and good luck to Julio – knock him out for all of us will you?'
