Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam performed at Srivari temple
Tirumala: On the eve of Anivara Asthanam (start of new accounting year at TTD), the sacred Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam cleansing ritual was performed with religious fervour at Tirumala Sri Venkateswara temple on Tuesday. TTD EO J Syamala Rao, along with TTD chairman B R Naidu and additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, speaking to the media outside the Srivari temple on the occasion, said that this traditional temple cleansing is performed four times a year before Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, annual Brahmotsavam and Vaikuntha Ekadasi. As a part of this ritual, the sanctum sanctorum, sub-temples, walls, ceilings, and all puja materials are thoroughly cleaned using water and a herbal mixture 'Parimalam'. The Moola Virat was completely covered with a veil during the cleaning. After the cleansing, sacred aromatic water mixed with ingredients like Kasturi turmeric, pachcha karpooram, sandal paste, kumkum, and other fragrant powders was sprinkled throughout the temple. Later, the veil was removed, and priests performed special pujas and naivedyam as per tradition. darshan for devotees began subsequently. The Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva was cancelled for the day due to this ritual. TTD Board members Panabaka Lakshmi, G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Naresh Kumar, Shanta Ram, Sadasiva Rao, Janga Krishnamurthy, Janaki Devi, Mahender Reddy, CVSO Muralikrishna, temple Deputy EO Lokanatham, and other officials were present.

Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam ritual conducted at Tirumala temple
Tirumala: In a significant religious event, EO Shyamala Rao announced that the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was performed at the Tirumala Srivari Temple, adhering strictly to traditional scriptures. This temple purification ceremony coincided with the occasion of Anivara Asthanam. Rao elaborated that the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam ritual will take place four times annually. It is customary to conduct a purification of the temple each Tuesday before major festivals, including Ugadi Asthanam, Anivara Asthanam, Brahmotsavam, and Vaikuntha Ekadashi. During the purification ceremony, the deity was first covered with a cloth, and the puja implements were cleansed. Furthermore, other sub-temples and the temple walls were purified using aromatic spices. Upon concluding the purification rites, special prayers and offerings were presented to the Lord. Devotees were then welcomed to have darshan following these sacred proceedings.

In the unpredictable world of cinema, numerous factors contribute to a film's success, with casting a superhit star being a major one. However, sometimes even the biggest superstars can't guarantee box office triumph. One such similar tale belongs to the brightest name in the industry, Mahesh Babu. Even after delivering many successful performances and blockbuster hits, there was one film that didn't live up to the expectations of the audience. Brahmotsavam- A massive flop The film that we are talking about is none other than Brahmotsavam. It was released in the year 2016 with the motive of strengthening his clean image; however, it didn't resonate with the audience. The film was made on a humongous budget of Rs. 75 crores; however, it couldn't even recover its cost and earned only Rs. 65 crores at the box office. This multi-starred film featuring Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu had set the expectation very high for the audience; however, it failed to deliver the same at the box office. Unmet Expectations The audience found the storyline confusing and overly dramatic. While some couldn't connect with the emotional angle, others found it quite slow and boring. The film also struggled critically and received an IMDb rating of 4 out of 10. However, despite the disconnect from the story, people still praised the performances of Mahesh Babu, Samantha, and Kajal, but even their names and stardom couldn't save the movie from failing at the box office. Director Srikanth Addala also expected this family entertainer to garner love and appreciation from everyone. Unfortunately, the execution didn't match the ambition, and the film ended up being labelled as one of the weakest in Mahesh Babu's career. Brahmotsavam story is a reminder that sometimes even the biggest stars can have setbacks despite their hard-earned name and fame over the years.

Make all arrangements for Brahmotsavam: MP
Anantapur: MP Ambika Lakshminarayana on Friday visited Googudu village in Narpala mandal in connection with the Googudu Kullai Swamy Brahmotsavam. He inspected the traffic parking areas and the mineral water plant being constructed with the funds of the MP. He also inspected the drainage facility, newly laid borewell and pipeline works being constructed with the funds of the Zilla Parishad. He toured the entire village and issued appropriate instructions to the officials regarding sanitation. He asked the DSP about the steps to be taken for traffic control. He instructed the temple EO Shobha to make arrangements so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience. The MPDO and AE RWS have been instructed to take up the sanitation work intensively from Saturdat and complete the work within two days. The AE Electricity has been instructed to provide uninterrupted power supply during the Brahmotsavam period. Senior TDP leaders Alam Venkata Narasa Naidu, Akula Anjaneyulu, Jaffer Vali, Narasimhulu, Rajanna, Obulesu and others participated in this programme.

Brahmotsavams conclude with Chakra Snanam
Tirupati: On Tuesday, the last day of the annual Brahmotsavam of Tirupati Sri Govindaraja swamy, Chakrasnanam was held in grandeur. Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with His consorts reached Sri Kapilatheertham Pushkarini – the Alwar Theertham. After the Snapana Tirumanjanam, a grand Chakrasnanam was performed. In the evening, the deities reached Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple. Tirumala Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Sri Chinna jeer Swamy, Deputy EO Shanti and a large number of devotees participated in this programme.
