Braun Strowman WWE return: R-Truth, on June 1, announced that the WWE had decided against renewing his contract and looked back on his time with the company. This made his departure a hard pill to swallow for the WWE universe. Many of his ardent fans even hoped that R-Truth being rehired on public demand would open the door for 'The Monster Among Men' to get a third run with the company. However, writer Vince Russo feels this won't happen as Strowman was previously released in 2021 as well. He also stated that the powerhouse did not enjoy the type of fan following that Ron Killings does. 'That ship has already sailed. And their fan base didn't have the same sentiment towards Strowman that they had towards Truth. Plus, it wasn't the first time they released Braun. No---Strowman IS NOT coming back,' he told the website. Vince Russo has been an inseparable part of the professional wrestling landscape since the 90s. He is best known for his association with the WWE and the now defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) R-Truth made an instant impact on returning to WWE Coming back to Truth, he returned to WWE programming at Money in the Bank 2025 and nailed John Cena with a spear and the Undisputed Championship to teach him a lesson for humiliating him at Saturday Night's Main Event. This cost 'The Champ' and Logan Paul their match against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. On June 9, he cut a promo in which he thanked fans for helping him regain his job and also vowed to be 'himself' during his new run.

Braun Strowman Pitches The Perfect Role For Himself In The Street Fighter Movie
Former WWE star Braun Strowman wants a role in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, and he's got the perfect one in mind. Recent reports revealed that Roman Reigns is one of the top names being considered for a role in the live-action adaptation of the iconic Street Fighter video game franchise. Alongside Reigns, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, and Andrew Koji. They all are also reportedly in talks for roles in the film, which Legendary Pictures is producing. Casting decisions have not yet been finalized. However, amid the buzz surrounding Reigns' potential casting, Braun Strowman expressed his interest in joining the Street Fighter movie. He reacted to the news by taking to X, formerly Twitter. He hinted he wants to play Zangief. Strowman does bear a slight resemblance to Zangief, aka the 'Red Cyclone' from the Street Fighter series. He wouldn't have to change much, aside from trimming up his beard and growing a uniquely shaped patch of chest hair. (But hey, prosthetics are available too!) Zangief first appeared in Street Fighter II. He is a Russian character with a pro wrestling and Sambo background that has continued to appear in each of the mainline editions of the legendary video game series, along with other spinoffs. The list included Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter. NXT stars like Cora Jade, Eddy Thorpe, Riley Osborne, and Gigi Dolin were also let go. WWE released Strowman again. However, a recent project he filmed with USA Network is still on track for later this year. The Wrap recently announced that Strowman will be getting his own food-related show this fall. Kevin Nash has high praise for a recently released WWE Superstar, comparing him to Brock Lesnar. Earlier this month, WWE released almost 20 talents across RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. Many of the releases were shocking to the fanbase as they believed big things were in their future. With Brock Lesnar tied into the allegations against Vince McMahon, it's unlikely we'll see The Beast Incarnate back on WWE programming anytime soon. On the latest episode of IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul claimed that there are members of the WWE Universe who are upset that he wasn't part of the latest round of releases. Everything on the Menu With Braun Strowman, a show produced by WWE Studios, is set to premiere on the USA Network this Fall. It will be available to stream in the US on Peacock. This announcement comes weeks after the popular wrestler was fired as part of roster cuts.
