‘Ted Lasso' Season 4 Filming Underway Without This Fan-Favorite Star

"Ted Lasso" Season 3 Ted Lasso Season 4 is officially in production, marking the start of a new chapter for the 13-time Emmy-winning comedy. While many O.G.s are set to return, there are still questions surrounding some of the show's other fan-favorite stars, including Phil Dunster (aka the one and only Jamie Tartt). Back in March, Apple TV+ confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis, who co-created the show with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, and Bill Lawrence, will reprise his role and continue to serve as an executive producer for the upcoming installment. On Monday, July 21, Apple TV+ revealed that the show had begun filming in Kansas City, MO, with additional filming set to take place in London. The streamer also shared the first behind-the-scenes clip from Season 4 on social media. The video, with the caption "We're not in Richmond anymore," shows Ted, Keeley, Rebecca and Leslie sitting together in a booth at a restaurant. After the scene begins, the screen fades to black, revealing that Season 4 is officially in production, as the sounds of the characters enjoying their food play in the background. The clip's filming location in Kansas City, rather than across the pond, suggests that Ted's closest pals have traveled to the States, perhaps to convince him to coach Richmond's women's team. After all, Season 3 ended with Ted returning to his Midwestern hometown and Keeley presenting Rebecca with the idea of launching a women's club in Richmond. Apple TV+ and Sudeikis confirmed that Ted will be coaching a women's club in Season 4. 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," the official logline reads. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.' In the first-look clip for season four, we only see four cast members, but what about the rest? Here's the latest on which stars are returning so far. Which Ted Lasso Cast Members Are Confirmed to Return In Season 4? First look at "Ted Lasso" Season 4. In addition to Sudeikis, it has now been confirmed that original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift will also reprise their roles for Season 4. They'll be joined by several new cast members in Season 4, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. While character details haven't been revealed, Feely will take over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted's son, according to Variety. Which Ted Lasso Cast Members Haven't Been Confirmed for Season 4? "Ted Lasso" Season 3 While some fan favorites have been confirmed, the fate of other beloved characters is still up in the air — including Dunster, who portrayed AFC Richmond footballer Jamie Tartt. Last August, Deadline and Puck News reported that Dunster had not yet been picked up for the series due to scheduling conflicts. The British actor currently stars in two series, Prime Video's The Devil's Hour and Apple's Surface Additionally, there's been no word on the involvement of the following Season 3 cast members in Season 4: There's always a chance that, even if they're not brought on as series regulars, they could still appear in a recurring or guest role. Nick Mohammed, who portrays Nate Shelley, previously expressed interest in returning to the show before the renewal was finalized. 'Yeah, of course. I mean, it was such a gift of a show, we all feel so grateful for being a part of it. I'd love to do some more at some point, but then, equally, it came to a satisfying conclusion in terms of stories for a lot of them, a lot of the characters,' he told Radio Times. Apple TV+ has yet to announce a release date for Season 4, though the next season isn't expected to premiere until 2026 or 2027. Stay tuned for more details. All three seasons of Ted Lasso are streaming on Apple TV+.

'Ted Lasso' stars tell Los Angeles to surrender to the World Cup vibe

LOS ANGELES, June 11 (Reuters) - The creators and stars of award-winning comedy series "Ted Lasso" were among those expressing hope that the World Cup would bring people together at an event in Los Angeles on Wednesday marking the one-year countdown to the tournament. Los Angeles will be one of the main host cities for the soccer showpiece in North America, welcoming eight matches including the United States' first match and a quarter-final. Brendan Hunt, a co-creator and actor in the Apple TV+ show about an upstart British football team with a U.S. coach, said Americans should embrace the influx of visitors from around the world. "What America needs to get ready for with this World Cup is something that most Americans instinctively know, but just to make sure for those who don't - there will be many people here who were not born here," Hunt said during an on-stage interview. "And just because they weren't born here, you don't need to be afraid of them." "Platform used," said fellow co-creator Jason Sudeikis, who plays Lasso on the show. Hunt said the tournament would be incredible. "You have to prepare yourself to surrender to a vibe you've never quite seen before because when folks come to these cities to see their teams play, they will take over in a way that is absolutely as benevolent as it is overwhelming," he added. The countdown to the tournament, which the U.S. is co-hosting with Mexico and Canada, comes on the heels of U.S. President Donald Trump's directive banning citizens from 12 countries from entering the U.S., though athletes are exempt. The Trump administration has also said it will deploy 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to Los Angeles to help protect federal property and personnel during the ongoing protests in the city. The protests broke out in response to a series of immigration raids in a city with a large immigrant population. Cobi Jones, who played for the U.S. in three World Cups, said he hoped the event would be a unifying one. "This is the game we all love and I'm hoping it can bring people together," he told Reuters on the red carpet of the event at Fox Studio Lot in Los Angeles. "When we're talking about the travel bans, I'm hoping that FIFA can work together with our government to find a way that everyone can be here and everyone can enjoy this sport because it's a cultural event that's happening here in a year." FIFA President Gianni Infantino said last month after meeting with U.S. President Trump he was confident visitors would be welcomed for the World Cup as well as the Club World Cup, which runs from June 14 to July 13 and also has matches in Los Angeles.
