Corby football pitch reopened after 90k refurbishment
A 3G football pitch which was identified as of poor quality has undergone a £90,000 popular facility at West Glebe in Corby has reopened, following the project backed by North Northamptonshire received £25,000 from the Football Foundation, with the local authority providing the remaining Benneyworth, the council's Reform UK executive member for health and leisure, said: "The Astroturf was in desperate need of resurfacing having been patch repaired over several years."
The Football Foundation is the English football charity backed by funding from the Football Association, Premier League and to the council the pitch is used by both male and female teams from junior to senior level, as well as walking authority said it hoped to increase participation in the area following the project.
