Fast and Furious' Brian O'Conner to return in final film, Vin Diesel says
Brain O'Conner, the cop-turned-outlaw played by the late Paul Walker, will return for the final Fast and Furious movie, franchise star Vin Diesel said Saturday at the Fuel Fast event in Los Angeles. In a short speech that's made the rounds on social media, Diesel said that, when asked by Universal Studios to lock in a release date of April 20, 2027, for the Fast and Furious finale, he responded with three conditions. One was a return to Los Angeles, the second was a return to the street racing that was the focus of the first film. "The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner," Diesel said, referring to his own character Dominic Toretto. "That is what you are going to get in the finale." Walker starred opposite Diesel in the first six Fast and Furious movies before he was killed in a car crash on November 30, 2013. Filming of Furious 7 was already underway at that time, so things were changed to write O'Conner out of the franchise. That included a final scene in which Walker's brother Cody stepped in as O'Conner, with digital effects to make the switch less obvious. Cody Walker stood next to Diesel during the announcement, along with Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the franchise. Diesel didn't elaborate on how the production team would accomplish his wish list, but digital effects to change an actor's appearance, including superimposing the likenesses of dead actors onto living ones, has only become more common since the release of Furious 7. So it's not difficult to imagine Brian O'Conner making his return this way. The upcoming movie will be the 11th in the main Fast and Furious storyline, not including the 2019 spinoff Hobbs & Shaw. Expected to be Called Fast X Part Two (as it picks up on the storyline from 2023's Fast X) its scheduled release date will be 26 years after the 2001 release of The Fast and the Furious. That's an impressive record for any movie franchise, and explains the eagerness to bring back Brian O'Conner for one last ride. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

This is what happens to your blood pressure when you make walking a daily habit
High blood pressure increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. Regular walking is one way to manage and lower blood pressure. Studies show it is a practical and effective form of exercise. How Walking Helps Blood Pressure? Walking at a moderate pace can improve heart health. During moderate walking, the heart beats faster, and breathing increases, but conversation is still possible. This level of effort improves cardiovascular fitness. Walking helps reduce stiffness in arteries. This allows blood to move more easily through the circulatory system. It also lowers levels of cortisol, a hormone linked to stress. Although physical activity can temporarily raise cortisol, regular walking may help the body adjust and reduce cortisol levels over time. What Research Shows Many studies show that walking helps lower blood pressure. Both systolic and diastolic readings can go down with regular walking. High blood pressure is defined as systolic readings over 140 mm Hg or diastolic readings over 90 mm Hg. Lowering these numbers reduces the chance of heart disease and stroke. Walking daily can help people control or reduce their blood pressure. It can also prevent blood pressure from rising too high in the future. Live Events Also Read: One Big Beautiful Bill: Blessing or curse? Here's how new bill may affect you How Much Walking Is Enough? Health experts recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week. This can be broken into smaller sessions. Some people choose 30 minutes a day for five days. Others may walk for 50 minutes three times a week. Dr. Gina Lundberg from Emory Women's Heart Center says different schedules work as long as the total activity adds up to 150 minutes. This time commitment can lead to noticeable changes in blood pressure. Walking Compared to Other Exercises Walking is easy to start and can be done anywhere. It helps improve focus, sleep, and energy. It also reduces the risk of several health problems, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and some cancers. An expert said aerobic exercise is the main type of activity recommended to reduce blood pressure. While running or biking are also effective, walking is the most accessible choice for many people. The American Heart Association supports walking as a good way to lower blood pressure. Also Read: Fast and Furious 11: Will Brian O'Conner return? See release date, cast, Vin Diesel's three conditions How to Improve Benefits of Walking? Experts suggest a few tips to get the most health benefits from walking: Take shorter walks more often: Some people may not manage 30–45 minutes at once. Dr. Lundberg says two or three 10–15-minute walks per day can also help, a report said. Add more steps during the day: People who are mostly inactive can benefit by adding around 3,000 extra steps daily. This supports blood pressure control. Make walking a daily habit: Regular walking improves blood pressure throughout the day and prevents sudden increases during inactive periods. Move each hour: Sitting for long periods can raise blood pressure. An expert recommends setting reminders to move every hour. Short walks or stretching can help. FAQs How often should I walk to lower blood pressure? Walking for 30 minutes five days a week or in shorter sessions throughout the day adds up to 150 minutes weekly, which is recommended to reduce blood pressure. Can short walks lower blood pressure too? Yes, walking in 10–15-minute sessions two to three times daily has similar benefits as one longer walk, especially for people with limited time or mobility.

Vin Diesel teases Paul Walker's return in Fast & Furious finale: ‘That is what you're going to get'
The Fast & Furious family might not be done saying goodbye to Brian O'Conner just yet. Veteran actor Vin Diesel has hinted that the beloved character, originally played by the late Paul Walker, could make a return in the franchise's 11th and final film. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker Diesel shared the update while attending Fuel Fest in Pomona, California. The automotive event was hosted by Paul Walker's brother, Cody Walker. Addressing fans of the high-octane saga, Diesel revealed what's in store for the last ride, and it might include a reunion previously thought impossible. 'Just yesterday I was with Universal Studios … The studio said to me, 'Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious [in] April 2027?' I said, 'Under three conditions because I've been listening to my fanbase,'' Diesel said. He then laid out those conditions: 'The first is to bring the franchise back to L.A.,' he continued. 'The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing.' As for the third? It's the one that left fans most emotional: 'The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner. That is what you're going to get in the finale.' Paul Walker tragically passed away in November 2013, in a car crash at the age of 40. At the time, he was in the middle of filming Fast & Furious 7. The team behind the film gave Brian a poignant farewell using a blend of CGI, 350 VFX shots, and stand-ins by his brothers Cody and Caleb Walker, ending with the now-iconic scene of Dom and Brian driving off in separate directions. The previous installment, Fast X, released in May 2023, featured an ensemble cast including Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, and Rita Moreno. But as Diesel hints at a return to the franchise's roots — street racing, L.A., and possibly Brian O'Conner — fans are already bracing for what could be the most emotional farewell yet.

Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner may return in ‘Fast & Furious' finale, hints Vin Diesel at fan event
Vin Diesel has sparked speculation about the potential return of Paul Walker's beloved character, Brian O'Conner, in the final 'Fast & Furious' film. During an appearance at Fuel Fest, a car enthusiast event held in Pomona, California, on Saturday night, Diesel addressed fans alongside co-stars Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker, Paul Walker's younger brother. While speaking briefly to the crowd, Vin Diesel revealed that the franchise's conclusion is tentatively slated for an April 2027 release and shared three personal conditions he presented to the studio in order to move forward with the film. 'The studio said to me, 'Vin, can we please have the finale of 'Fast and Furious' in April 2027?'' Diesel told fans. 'I said, 'Under three conditions.' First, is to bring the franchise back to LA! The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing! The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner.' Diesel's third point — reuniting his character, Dominic Toretto, with Brian O'Conner — has ignited discussion about how the filmmakers could achieve such a reunion. While Diesel's statement remains vague, the possibility of a digital reappearance for Brian O'Conner in the franchise's final chapter is not out of the question. With advancements in visual effects and the franchise's prior use of CGI to honour Walker's legacy, fans are hopeful but cautious about what form such a reunion might take. The most recent entry, 'Fast X', hit cinemas in May 2023 and grossed over $700 million globally, despite its massive $340 million budget. Featuring a star-studded cast including Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Alan Ritchson, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno, the film was promoted as the first instalment of a two-part finale. However, it remains unclear whether 'Fast 11' will directly pick up from 'Fast X' following the extended production timeline. Paul Walker tragically died in a car accident in 2013 at the age of 40, midway through the production of 'Furious 7'. His remaining scenes were completed with the help of digital effects and body doubles, including his brothers Cody and Caleb.
