Australian international Matthew Ryan departs Lens
RC Lens have officially confirmed the departure of Matthew Ryan (33) from the club, with the Australian international coming to the end of his contract. The goalkeeper made 14 appearances for the club since joining in the winter transfer window. Ryan stepped into a precarious situation for Les Sang et Or during a disruptive January where they lost both of their starting centre-backs, Abdukodir Khusanov and Kevin Danso, as well as their captain and goalkeeper, Brice Samba. Ryan's arrival helped steady the ship and allow for Lens to finish in 8th, only five points behind RC Strasbourg Alsace in the UEFA Europa Conference League position. Advertisement It's been a busy day for Lens with the club also announcing a series of departures, including former Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy, as well as Denis Petric and M'Bala Nzola, as they prepare for a significant rebuild under former Olympique Lyonnais head coach Pierre Sage. Monaco add Rennes' Brice Samba to goalkeeper shortlist
AS Monaco are casting their net far and wide as they look to bring in a new No.1 this summer. As per Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Stade Rennais' Brice Samba (31) is the latest name to be considered by the Principality club. Monaco's CEO, Thiago Scuro, stated at the start of the summer that the club would be looking to sign a new goalkeeper, after the club's current options, Radoslaw Majecki and Philipp Köhn, failed to provide sufficient assurances over the course of the last campaign. Advertisement David De Gea was linked before he extended his deal at Fiorentina. RC Strasbourg Alsace's Djordje Petrovic has been linked, as has Manchester United's André Onana. Ugurcan Cakir is still being considered by the Principality club, as is Vanja Milinković-Savić, as per Foot Mercato. Samba, who only joined Rennes from RC Lens in January, is the latest name to be added to Monaco's shortlist as their search for a new No.1 continues. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

Lens' Hervé Koffi set for Angers move
RC Lens goalkeeper Hervé Koffi (28) is set for a move to SCO Angers, according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter. Koffi failed to seize his chance to become Lens' No.1 following Brice Samba's departure for the club. The France international joined Stade Rennais in January, however, Koffi struggled to replace him in the weeks that followed, which saw Les Sang et Or dip into the market to sign Australian goalkeeper Mat Ryan (33). Advertisement There could be yet further change between the sticks for Lens this summer, but either way, it looks as though Koffi will not be at the club. As per Toubahce-Ter, the Burkina Faso international will join Angers on a season-long loan deal. Le Sco, who last season avoided the drop, will pay a part, but not all, of the player's wages. There is no buy option included in the deal. The move will naturally raise questions about the future of Yahia Fofana (24), who is likely to be coveted following a strong campaign last time around. Steve Mandanda to leave Rennes upon contract expiry
Rennes goalkeeper Steve Mandanda (40) is expected to leave the Bretons upon the expiry of his contract this June, according to Le Parisien. Mandanda joined Stade Rennais in 2022 as a free agent when his Marseille contract expired. The former France international went on to feature 101 times with Les Rouge et Noir. Mandanda's status as No. 1 has been revoked following the €15m signing of Brice Samba (31) from Ligue 1 rivals Lens in the winter transfer window. The outlet understands that Rennes president Arnaud Pouille has made clear to Mandanda that he would not offer him a new contract beyond June 30. Several clubs have enquired with Mandanda regarding his availability. The 2018 World Cup winner is still reportedly in good spirits at Rennes, despite his demotion, and has a good relationship with head coach Habib Beye. It remains to be seen whether Mandanda will pursue his career elsewhere or stick around in Rennes under a new role, or hang up his gloves for good. GFFN | Bastien Cheval
