Montauk's Relaunched Ruschmeyers Is Summer Camp Done Right
Montauk has never been a more popular summer destination with some of the chicest hotels, dining options and, of course, day parties around. In this little beach town located at the end of the Long Island Sound, it's all about location and some of the most iconic and well-regarded properties are all owned and operated by boutique hotelier Bridgeton. Both Marram Montauk and Journey East Hampton excell in highlighting the understated yet chic beachy aspects of the properties while still celebrating the history of the forming fishing town. The newest addition to the offerings is recently relaunched Ruschmeyers, the idyllic 19-cabin retreat tucked into a quiet corner of Montauk yet still walking distance to town and the bay. The challenge in refurbishing the former summer camp was to retain the charm of the property while incorporating modern comforts like en suite rain showers, locally sourced and stocked mini-fridges, evening fire pits with s'mores and late night bottle service courtesy of a partnership with the team from GOSPËL. Yet above all, the heart of the remodel is the farm-to-table restaurant that specializes in locally sourced and seasonal foods. Grilled whole fish, cheeseburger and local veggies from the dinner menu Ruschmeyers The new culinary program, helmed by executive chef Jordan Heissenberger, isn't just about putting food onto plates. It's about community. Known from his former roles at Buvette, Walter's, Rucola and Apollonia his vision is to highlight the local communities and offer a space for people to slow down, gather and reconnect through food. 'At the Grill at Ruschmeyers, we create a convivial space where dishes are meant to be shared. Rooted in the rhythm of the seasons, our menu draws from the richness of local flora and fauna, deeply influenced by the sea and our stewardship of the land.' This means big coastal flavors and all of the grilled goodies from seafood towers to charred lamb ribs, homemade lobster pasta and the freshest seasonal vegetables available. The wine, beer and cocktail list follow suit with a few more bonuses like complimentary s'mores and chill evenings by the fire pits to unwind. The updated dining room Ruschmeyers However, not every guest is looking to chill and on weekend evenings the restaurant turns into the Lounge at Ruschmeyers with performances by the NYC-based collective social club Gospël. After 9PM on Friday, Saturday and some Sundays through Labor Day Weekend, the Lounge hosts Gospël's innovative and immersive performances as a supper club experience with bottle service, dancing and more. Expect DJ sets, music and NYC energy with summery Hamptons vibes with the occasional surprise set. The brunch spread Ruschmeyers The partnership with Gospël seems natural given their shared philosophy for creating community rooted in connection. The collective has built a devoted following for just about a decade in Manhattan. With a focus on celebrating connection through art, music and creativity Ruschmeyers and Gospel aim to highlight that creative expression is one of the most powerful forces for uniting and uplifting people. The renovated rooms Ruschmeyers Bridgeton Studio headed the team in charge of refreshing the property by workibng with colleagues from former collaboration like Brian Smith who worked on Scribner's Catskill Lodge and Whitney Clark who was involved with Marram and Dawn Ranch. Other thoughtful touches include rooms outfitted with Parachute linens, amenities by Byredo amenities, Noguchi lanterns and Bauhaus-style loungers. The rooms retain the heart and aesthetic of the old summer camp with the little touches of five star treatment. The goal, after all, is to create a space that soothes the mind, body and soul while at the end of the day still being fun just like summer camp.

Republic Services (NYSE:RSG) Faces Union Strikes Amid Fair Wage Dispute With Teamsters
Republic Services is currently facing significant labor challenges as over 90% of Teamsters Local 25 members voted to strike, demanding wages competitive with rivals. Despite these challenges, Republic's latest quarterly share price move of 2.43% aligns closely with the market's 2.1% rise over the same period. The company's performance, including a 6% revenue increase to $16 billion and $1.18 billion returned to shareholders, reflects resilience in a volatile environment. Furthermore, efforts like the biogas joint venture with OPAL Fuels and a new recycling center in Bridgeton, MO, contribute positively to the company's outlook amidst these challenges. We've spotted 1 risk for Republic Services you should be aware of. Find companies with promising cash flow potential yet trading below their fair value. The ongoing labor challenges faced by Republic Services could potentially exert pressure on its operational efficiency and cost structure, which may influence revenue and earnings forecasts. The demand for competitive wages could lead to increased costs, impacting the company's profit margins. However, Republic's initiatives, such as the biogas joint venture and new recycling center, may help buffer these challenges by providing additional revenue streams and aligning with sustainability trends, thereby offsetting some financial impact. Over the past five years, Republic Services has achieved a significant total return of 220.81%, showcasing strong long-term performance. This growth is reflective of its strategic growth initiatives and resilience in addressing operational challenges. Additionally, the company's one-year return has exceeded the US Market return of 13.2% and outperformed the US Commercial Services industry, which saw a 9.7% return, further emphasizing its market competitiveness. Currently, Republic Services' share price of US$244.67 is trading closely with the analyst consensus price target of US$259.01, a gap indicating modest potential upside. While the stock's short-term movements mirror the market, the longer-term price trajectory may hinge on successful resolution of labor issues and execution of growth initiatives. Analyst expectations anticipate revenue and earnings growth, but challenges such as declining volumes and acquisition risks must be carefully managed to achieve these targets. According our valuation report, there's an indication that Republic Services' share price might be on the expensive side. This article by Simply Wall St is general in nature. Simone Ashley's role cut from ‘F1'; Director clarifies- deets inside
Ashley is a well-known star after her series, 'Bridgeton.' Her character got praised and was admired by the fans for her acting skills. Even after such skills, her shot for an entire storyline for the project 'F1,' Brad Pitt 's upcoming film, got cut from the final movie. Director Joseph Kosinski explained the reason for this incident of removal as Ashley was set to appear in a large role alongside Brad Pitt in 'F1.' Her words about the movie before her role was cut Speaking to 'ELLE' earlier, Ashley said making 'F1' was a 'crazy' experience. "I have a very small part, but I'm grateful to be in that movie," she said at the time. "I got to experience many Grands Prix. I don't think I'll ever do anything like that again." She had also previously told 'Who What Wear' in March that production on the film had been 'going for years,' as she revealed how long her role was in the works. Further, she said, "I met for this movie, I think, before Bridgerton even came out. It's been a long time, and you know, it's Damson and Brad's movie. I'm just so grateful that I can be part of it." She also expressed how the timings were tight for her. She said, "You had to work as a team. Sometimes we literally had one take for certain shots. Like, you'd see on the call sheet eight minutes to get this one thing because we were shooting alongside the races." Further adding "It was amazing, the adrenaline," she continued. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning... 'There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn't make it into the final cut.' She does, however, briefly appear on screen but has no lines. Still, the director praised the star for her acting skills. 'But Simone, she's an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again,' he added.
