General Hospital's Kirsten Storm Announces Extended Break as Maxie, ‘Incredible' Storyline in Her Absence
General Hospital vet Kirsten Storms is taking an extended, months-long break from the role of Maxie, as she relocates homes from Los Angeles, Calif. to Tennessee. In fact, she has already taped her final scenes of 2025. Storms at this moment is not playing Maxie, due to scheduling conflicts — Nicole Paggi has once again stepped in as a recast — but she next will be seen on-camera in mid-August, before her months-long break kicks in. Storms explains that she spoke with GH boss Frank Valentini back in March 'about my reasons for wanting to move — and my desire to not leave the show,' but instead return to the role of Maxie once she and her 11-year-old daughter Harper are settled in in Tennessee. 'Now, when you approach a job like this, they can always be like, 'Forget it, I will let you out of your contract if you're going to leave the state,'' she notes. 'GH did not do that, which was kind of amazing, because I also asked for some time off.' Storms says that in late June, 'I had my final taping day for the year,' though 'it's possible I will be back in December, maybe November,' to resume the role of Maxie. In the meantime, 'I promise you the storyline they have going on until my return to Port Charles is kind of incredible,' she teased. 'You guys are going to freak out, actually. I can't wait to see the comments online about that!' Big Brother 27 Reveals Season's New Houseguests — But Who's the Mysterious 17th Player?
Seventeen new houseguests are about to embark on a summer they'll never forget when Big Brother returns to CBS Thursday, July 10 at 8/7c. And just two days before its supersized 90-minute premiere, we finally have our very first look at who will be entering the front door. Season 27's cast includes a professional bull rider, event curator, AI consultant (yes, we're getting Ainsley flashbacks, too), an 'aura painter' (whatever the heck that is) and a personal trainer, among others. According to the season's official description, these newbies are 'stepping into a summer where nothing is as it seems, where every twist rewrites the rules and every turn conceals a hidden agenda.'
