Details announced for upcoming Buckley Jubilee events
Commencing the Jubilee week on Sunday, July 6, there will be a service at 11am at Pentrobin Chapel.
The Jubilee itself will begin with a service on Buckley Common at 3pm on Tuesday, July 8.
A procession will then move through the town from 3.15pm onwards with Buckley Town Band stopping at three points along the way to perform for hymns.
And to end the week, Jubilee hymn singing will take place at St Matthew's Church at 6pm on Sunday, July 13.
Hazel Ashton, a member of the Buckley Jubilee Committee, said the cost of closing roads for the event has made things difficult - but thanks to the kindness of donors, it will go ahead.
She said: "It was going to cost a few thousand pounds for the road closures for the procession, so we had to raise the money.
"Luckily, we have raised it. We set the target at £5,000 and we reached it.
"We've had some really quite large donations on the GoFundMe page, so that tells us the Jubilee is something close to people's hearts and they want to keep it going.
"It is a very important part of Buckley's history.

"A lot of people do come back to the town for it."
She also said the committee and event itself have had to change and move with the times in order to keep going, adding: "The committee members are ageing and a lot of the congregation is too.
"We don't get a lot of young people coming to church these days, which is sad, but we feel passionate about keeping the Jubilee going.
"We have set up a Facebook page for Buckley Jubilee and we have an email address too - so we're trying to move with the times."
Each year, the Buckley Jubilee procession collects money for a local charity and this year's is NEWCIS.
Funds raised will be presented to the organisation at the end of the Jubilee week.
Donations to the GoFundMe page (link above) can still be made in order to keep the event going in future years.
