Winning lottery ticket worth over $27K sold in Olean

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A winning Take 5 ticket worth more than $27,000 was sold in Olean in Sunday night's drawing. The ticket, worth a total of $27,605, was sold at the Country Fair store on East State Street in Olean. The Take 5 drawing is done twice daily, once at 2:30 p.m. and again at 10:30 p.m. To see winning numbers, click here. Akron man killed in crash in Genesee County

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Akron man was killed in a crash in Genesee County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office. Crews responded to Bloomingdale Road in the Town of Alabama just before 3:15 p.m. Sunday, where 36-year-old Justin Blasko was trying to pass another car while going eastbound, lost control, hit a tree and flipped over. Blasko was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the car. The crash is still under investigation.
