Bitchat vs WhatsApp — New App ‘Without Internet' Sparks Discussion: ‘How About Phone-Free Sitchat'

Last Updated: Bitchat follows a Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networking system, creating a local web of connected devices. A message sent through Bitchat is split into tiny chunks of data packets. Imagine life without WhatsApp. Impossible right? From the moment we wake up until we turn off the lights, it's our constant companion. WhatsApp helps us to stay connected with family, friends, colleagues or distant acquaintances and over time has become the primary mode of our daily conversations. But, seems like the Meta platform has now got some competition. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has launched a new decentralised messaging app for iPhone users, which, unlike traditional apps, is designed for offline communication. One of the most unique features of Bitchat, a peer-to-peer messaging application, is that it can be used without cellular data or Wi-Fi. The only element you need to have on your phone is Bluetooth. Users are able to send messages directly between devices nearby through the medium. Bitchat follows a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh networking system by creating a local web of connected devices. First, Bitchat recognises each other over Bluetooth. Unlike WhatsApp or Telegram, texts are not sent using external servers. A message sent through Bitchat splits into tiny chunks of data packets using LZ4, a lossless data compression algorithm, and broadcasts them over Bluetooth using BLE advertisements. If the recipient is nearby, within 30 metres, their phone picks up these chunks and reassembles them into the original message. However, when the receiver is out of range, the message 'hops" from the sender's phone to another before finally reaching its intended destination. The best part? Messages sent and received through Bitchat are end-to-end encrypted. Additionally, the texts exist only in device memory by default. Each message has a Time-To-Live (TTL) limit, which means it expires after some time, ensuring enhanced privacy. Take a look: Internet Reaction Social media users were quick to react to the post. 'This would be amazing for finding your friend at a massive music festival or anywhere where a huge number of people puts a strain on the cell towers, virtually making them useless," noted one person. 'I built 'Sitchat' too. Here, no phone is required. Just 2 people sitting side by side and chatting," read a playful remark. 'Why does it sound similar to Pied Piper from Silicon Valley?" wondered an individual, hinting at Steve Jobs, who was commonly referred to by the name thanks to his visionary leadership in the world of tech. 'Game is gonna change again," commented another user. The post has so far received over 9 million views. What are your thoughts on Bitchat? ‘Maza Nahi Aa Raha': This ROFL Video Perfectly Sums Up Gen Z's Corporate Mindset

Last Updated: RJ Megha quipped that while corporate bosses drained their employees for years, Gen Z managed to return the favour in just one. Gen Z's approach to corporate life is anything but ordinary, and it is leaving people amused, confused and very curious. From setting unapologetic boundaries to disappearing without notice, their work habits are now being hilariously summed up in a video shared by RJ Megha in an Instagram video. The video opened with her saying, 'Gen Z ka janam hua hai corporate waalo ko sudharne ke liye. Gen Z at work is my favourite genre (Gen Z was born to reform the corporate world. Watching them at work is pure entertainment)." Megha joked that while corporate bosses drained employees for years, Gen Z returned the favour in just one year. 'Corporate walon ne jitna khoon choosa hai, Gen Z ne unka ek saal mein chus liya hai (The way corporate sucked the life out of others for years, Gen Z managed to drain it all back in just one)," she said. One of the most talked-about parts is how Gen Z doesn't even bother to resign; they just stop showing up. 'Ye resign bhi nahi dalte, Monday se chup chaap office aana bandh kar dete hai… choomantar, gayab. (They don't formally quit. They simply disappear one Monday. No calls, no emails. Just like that, gone)," she explained. The old culture of working beyond hours for 'impression" is also something they just do not consider and throw it out the window. 'Unke mu par 6 baje hi ek invisible board ajata hai – Unavailable" (By 6 PM, an imaginary Unavailable sign appears on their faces)," she jokingly said. And if HR asks them why they are leaving? The answer is often as simple as, 'Maza nahi aa raha" (I'm not enjoying this)." She ends the video by calling Gen Z 'bhagwan ka avatar" God's own messengers) who have arrived to end the toxic work culture. The caption Megha shared along with the video reads: 'Baap ka, Dada ka sabka badla lega GenZ." Watch Here: Megha's playful video has received more than seven million views. The comments section is filled with a variety of reactions where people share similar scenarios. One user commented, 'Not the slavery mindset. Lot to learn from the folks." Another recalled, 'Manager tried to bash a Gen Z to overtime for some important work. His reply — 'Itna hi important hai to aap khud kyu nahi kar lete?'" 'I left a job literally saying the same — maza nahi aaya," someone else shared And a Millennial proudly said, 'I LOVE GEN Z!! We millennials couldn't do it! You did it! So proud of you!" The video puts a spotlight on the trend that these young employees have embraced, which is something called 'career catfishing." A report by CVGenius explains this as a growing pattern where Gen Z workers accept job offers but then quietly skip their first day without informing the employer. Labubu At Karl Marx's Grave? Internet Can't Handle The Ironic Crossover

The Internet couldn't ignore the irony of a Labubu doll placed on Karl Marx's grave, who famously stood against capitalism. Karl Marx, the political theorist and revolutionary socialist, devoted his entire life to fighting against capitalism and warning people about its consequences. What he probably never thought was that he could become a part of the very thing he opposed. But that's exactly what happened recently at his grave in London's Highgate Cemetery. In a photo going viral on the Internet, people noticed that a Labubu doll was kept on Karl Marx's grave along with flower bouquets and a letter. These plush dolls are all about limited editions, surprise boxes and hype, basically the kind of consumer culture the Father of Communism was against and criticised throughout his life. So, when people on the Internet came across the picture, it went viral, with many reacting to the irony of it. 'Placing a Labubu there is actually akin to performing voodoo on Marx," wrote one user. Another astonishingly asked, 'Is that a f—-g labubu?" A different user said, 'Labubu could be one of the most anti-Marx things I have ever seen." Someone else penned, 'The concept of knowing there is currently a Labubu on Karl Marx's grave." What Is A Labubu Doll? The trendy Labubu doll is part of the Pop Mart collection, which is sold in blind boxes, and customers would not know anything about the colour or type of the doll they will be receiving. Sometimes, these plush toys are sold for hundreds of dollars because of their limited manufacturing. Currently, a Labubu has become a Gen Z status symbol, an example of the kind of artificial desire and consumer frenzy that Karl Marx once warned us against. Karl Marx's Grave Also Had A Letter From A Chinese Student Besides the Labubu, there was something far more personal that stood out to the public: a handwritten letter by a Chinese student by the name of Liu Yuhae. With honest admiration, she reflected on how Karl Marx's writing shaped her view of the world. 'I have always wanted to write you a letter. But when it came to actually writing, I found myself at a loss for words because there was so much I wanted to say," she began her letter. Through the letter, she also described her journey of reading his works, from The Communist Manifesto to The Critique of the Gotha Programme. 'I hope that at the end of my life, I will receive an invitation from you. It has always been my long-cherished wish to cook potatoes for you every day in the afterlife. I already look like a potato now," she mentioned. Towards the end of the letter, she wrote, 'There are so many things to say that I can't possibly express them all. So I'll stop here. If I can meet you in my dreams, I will talk to you in more detail. I believe that you can see me. I won't bother you any more. That's all for now." Viral Video Of Baby Elephant Trying To Sit On Chair Like A Human Is ‘So Innocent'

Last Updated: The video features a baby elephant attempting to sit on a foldable chair, and the result is as adorable as it sounds There's something universally irresistible about baby elephants. Their floppy ears, playful clumsiness and boundless curiosity always capture hearts online. And once again, this little elephant is reminding us why they're among the most loved creatures. A video recently shared on Instagram has gone viral, featuring a baby elephant attempting to sit on a foldable chair, and the result is as adorable as it sounds. The clip opens to show the curious calf approaching the chair with curiosity. In what seems to be pure innocence, the baby elephant tries to sit on the chair as a human would, awkwardly balancing its legs and massive frame. Unsurprisingly, the effort doesn't quite work out. After several failed attempts, the little elephant seems to grow frustrated. Before leaving the scene, he kicks the chair in a tiny tantrum that is similar to a toddler's outburst. While the attempt might have been unsuccessful, the elephant's determination and clumsy missteps have viewers utterly enchanted. The moment has sparked laughter and an outpouring of affection as social media users couldn't stop gushing over the young elephant's antics. 'So pure-hearted and innocent, baby. Precious. Hugs n kisses," a user wrote. Another commented, 'So cute. I love how he lost it in the end. Began to kick the chair as if that will make things fine. Elephants are truly the cutest." 'This is the cutest. Thanks for making my day today," wrote an Instagram user. A user said, 'Made my day honestly. I love how he was so mad at the end." 'Awww, this was the cutest, I swear. Electrets do be acting like human babies, only these animals are much cuter," an individual remarked. In another heartwarming moment, a baby elephant gently approached a man seated on a chair. With endearing affection, the little one wrapped its trunk, and even its legs, around him in what looked like a loving embrace. Whether you're an animal lover or just in need of a smile, we guarantee this video will lift your mood. Someone Put Matcha In Fried Rice, And The Internet Is ‘Calling The Cops'

Last Updated: Singaporean content creator, Calvin Lee, mixed matcha powder to a pan fried rice and gave his honest review. There was a time when matcha was something you would only hear about from a friend who had been to Japan. But not anymore. The green tea powder has made its way into our kitchens and obviously on the Internet. From lattes to ice creams, matcha is now a global obsession. But now someone went ahead and tossed it into fried rice. Yes, that actually happened. The video was shared on Instagram by Singaporean content creator Calvin Lee. It shows him mixing matcha in a pan of fried rice. Then come the other ingredients such as eggs, garlic, soy sauce, a bit of wasabi, miso and chopped spring onions. Everything is tossed together in a pan. Within seconds, the rice turns green. It definitely looks striking. But looks can be deceiving. The caption shared along with the video reads, 'Matcha fried rice, sigh." Watch the video here: Since it was posted, the video has garnered nearly one million views, and, as expected, the comments section is buzzing. One user commented, 'I'll call the police and ambulance." Someone else thought the idea had potential and wrote, 'I think this works." 'Brawwww, I have the same matcha and was thinking of cooking matcha fried rice last week," another person added. 'Not the kind of greens I imagined for rice," a viewer remarked while another said, 'This is illegal." An individual simply asked, 'Why?" Meanwhile, a user offered some practical advice, saying, 'Too much matcha Liao… You need to pair something sweet and sour, maybe." But that's not all. In another video, Calvin took things up a notch by mixing matcha powder into scrambled eggs. While the fried rice didn't quite pass the vibe check, this one was somewhat better. As he described it, 'Match egg" was 'very earthy, grassy and slightly bitter." top videos View all And if you scroll through his Instagram grid, there's more. He also added matcha powder to a cup of noodles. This one got a solid thumbs up. 'The matcha adds a nice bitter, earthy note to savoury broth, which balances out the saltiness," he said in his review. Would you try any of these?
