New Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate ‘to captivate Malaysian tastebuds'
'CADBURY is calling all fans to fall in love with chocolates all over again!' said Cadbury Malaysia today, as it unveiled a richer, creamier and more indulgent recipe for its classic Cadbury Dairy Milk, enhancing the signature taste that fans have loved for generations. The upgrade also introduced a new King Size 200gm bar and a redesigned chunk shape across the entire range, 'delivering a more satisfying chocolate experience in every bite'. 'Crafted with love at the Shah Alam plant by over 250 chocolate-makers, Cadbury Dairy Milk embodies a commitment to quality and innovation,' the company stated yesterday, in front of selected local media representatives at the brand's only plant in Southeast Asia. It added that the plant has been certified halal by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) since 1994 and adheres to the highest food safety and quality standards. 'Additionally, it embraces sustainable practices through recyclable packaging, renewable energy, and sustainable cocoa sourcing, supported by Mondelez International's global 'Cocoa Life' initiative. CADBURY has made a major change to Fudge bars and customers are fuming. The chocolate giant has once again reduced the size of its Fudge mulitpack, with customers now getting four bars instead of five. 1 The popular snack has been reduced in size Packs of four are still being sold for £1.40, even though bigger packets were sold for the same price a few month prior Cadbury has faced backlash from customers, especially parents who put the treat in their children's lunch box. Leaving a review on Tesco's website, one angry parent branded it "shrinkflation in action". "Apparently these are no longer meant to go in kids lunchboxes any more because there are 5 days in the school week, not 4." They added: "The price hasn't changed though ." While another upset customer asked: "When will it stop? Not a happy customer! Same goes for fudge bars." And a third shopper said: "Same price, fewer bars. Not good." Cadbury told The Sun changes to product sizes is a "last resort" for the business, blaming "higher input costs" for the change. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

The chocolate block was spotted by a fan when shopping at the discount retail store. But the mouthwatering treat will only set punters back £1.25 after making a return to retailers. Sweet-toothed revellers flocked to hail the find. "I want one," one shopper said. A second added: "Yummy!" A third revealed: "I got three today. "They've already been eaten." Cadbury has more new products coming next month. It is adding to their Twirl range with a limited-edition Twirl White Dipped bar, which will be available from early June 2025. This new version combines the classic Twirl milk chocolate layers with a smooth coating of white chocolate. However, the confectionery veterans also revealed that this new buy "won't be around forever". So once this exciting new bar hits shelves, Cadbury fans may want to stock up while they can. "Introducing Twirl White Dipped, keep your eyes peeled for when you can get your hands on it," the post read. The launch image showed the famous flaky texture of a Twirl bar en-coated in white chocolate instead classic milk chocolate. Cadbury representatives confirmed the bar is set to hit shelves on June 2. Making a comeback Earlier this month, chocolate fans were buzzing with excitement after spotting a new Cadbury treat that brings back fond memories of a beloved classic. The discovery was shared in the popular Facebook group, Food Finds UK, where shoppers were quick to notice its striking similarity to the nostalgic Cadbury Tasters. The new treat, named Cadbury Dairy Milk Balls, is said to resemble the discontinued Tasters, which first appeared in 1996. These small, round Dairy Milk chocolates were similar to Maltesers but lacked the crunchy centre. Despite their rich, chocolatey taste, Cadbury Tasters were quietly discontinued in the mid-2000s due to low sales.

The crispy biscuits were a popular item within Cadbury's Bournville range, which features dark chocolate products. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Cadbury has discontinued its dark chocolate fingers But manufacturer Cadbury this week confirmed it has ended the treat, having originally launched it in October 2020 as a lockdown treat to share at home. The Fingers were praised for being less sweet than the ordinary Dairy Milk fingers, meaning you could eat more of them at any one time. One fan said on the Asda website: 'I used to enjoy the regular chocolate fingers but since I've tried these I'm a convert! They are soo delicious especially with a cup of tea, and because they aren't as sweet as the usual chocolate fingers, they are also very moreish! 'Would recommend for everyone!' Another added: 'Just delicious. I'm a plain chocolate person, so made up with these.' A third said: 'Can't believe how nice they are. Were sadly gone in minutes.' The product had been particularly popular with vegans, as it did not contain milk, but there was disappointment in 2022 after skimmed milk powder was included in the recipe. Cadbury's owner Mondelēz International said: 'We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business. "Our Cadbury Bournville Fingers were discontinued this year. However, we still have plenty of other delicious products for consumers to enjoy, such as our Cadbury Bournville Giant Dark Buttons and our classic Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Fingers.' It's not the first time a discontinued product has caused upset. Cadbury has also confirmed it has discontinued its Fry's Coffee Cream bars, while dark chocolate Toberlones have also gone. Walkers confirm they've discontinued fan favourite flavour Meanwhile, Aldi has axed its Dairyfine Blonde chocolate bar, leaving fans upset as they struggle to find their favourite sweet treat. DISCONTINUED DARK CHOCOLATE It comes as Brits have had to wave goodbye to a number of dark chocolate bars. Toblerone axed the dark chocolate version of the bar earlier this year. Mars axed its dark chocolate Bounty in 2023, leaving customers heartbroken. At the time shoppers said the moves was "bad for their mental health". Others were quick to share their pain with one fan saying: "Noooooo. Dark chocolate Bountys beat milk chocolate Bountys hands down. And it's not only dark chocolate fans getting bruised, a number of beloved chocolate bars have vanished from shelves in recent years. Nestlé confirmed two years ago that it had axed the Caramac bar, first launched in the late 1950s, due to "low sales". But the treat has been spotted sporadically at bargain retailers since. However, it's not all bad news sometimes iconic chocolate bars make a return. Milky Way Crispy Rolls returned earlier after they were discontinued three years ago.
