The event will be streamed LIVE on CAF's YouTube channel, CAF TV. Dr Motsepe will address the media following a meeting of the CAF Executive Committee on Saturday morning and ahead of the kick-off of the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2024 later in the evening.

South Africa vs Nigeria: When, How to Watch U20 AFCON Semifinals
Rabat – Nigeria and South Africa will meet today in the semi-final match of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), racing for a spot in the final which will take place this upcoming Sunday. The match will take place at 4 p.m. Moroccan time, and fans can watch the decisive game on CAF TV, Startimes, and DSTV. Nigeria's head coach, Aliyu Zubairu, is confident in his squad. 'We're now relaxed after securing qualification for the World Cup,' Zubairu said in a pre-match conference, noting that the players can now focus fully on the U20 AFCON title. 'We've studied South Africa well. I watched their game against DR Congo. They're physical, well-organized and dangerous on the counter—but we believe we have what it takes to win,' he said. The winner of today's game will meet either Egypt or Morocco on Sunday. Morocco is playing against Egypt today at 7 p.m. Moroccan time. South Africa has also booked its place at the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup. They secured three wins at the U20 AFCON tournament, with this being their fifth appearance in the semifinals – a feat they also reached in 1997, 2009, 2017, and 2019. Nigeria, meanwhile, marks its 17th appearance in the semi-finals this year. The group stage of the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2025 concluded on Friday, 09 May with eight teams securing their spots in the quarterfinals of the competition after a series of thrilling group stage matches. The tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025, has showcased the continent's emerging talents, who are all vying for the continental crown as well as the four available spots for Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup later this year. The teams advancing to the knockout stage are: Egypt (Hosts), DR Congo, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa. The quarter-finals will take place on Monday, 12 May. Tournament hosts, Egypt powered into the quarterfinals with a narrow 1-0 win over Tanzania at the Suez Canal Stadium on Friday evening to secure their place as one of the two best third placed sides along with DR Congo, who's 3-1 win over Central Africa Republic and 1-1 draw against Ghana was enough to see them through. South Africa finished top Group A following Friday's 1-1 stalemate against neighbours Zambia, along with Sierra Leone who came in second, while Morocco finished top of Group B and will be joined by second placed Nigeria in the next round. The quarter-finals line-up is concluded by the defending champions, Senegal who narrowly edged DR Congo on goal-difference to finish second behind group leaders, Ghana in Group C. Group Stage Highlights Morocco: Morocco topped their group with an unbeaten run, including a 3-2 win over Kenya, a 0-0 draw with Nigeria, and a 3-1 victory against Tunisia. Nigeria: The seven-time champions secured their quarterfinal spot with a solid performance, including a crucial draw against Morocco. Senegal: The defending champions continued their impressive form, advancing confidently from their group. South Africa: The South Africans demonstrated their prowess, advancing to the quarterfinals with a strong showing in the group stage that concluded with a closely contested 1-1 stalemate with neighbours, Zambia. Published: Saturday, 26 April 2025 The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) Dr Patrice Motsepe will host a press conference in Accra, Ghana on Saturday from 13:30 local time / GMT. The event will be streamed live on CAF's YouTube channel, CAF TV. Dr Motsepe will also meet with Ghana President, His Excellency John Mahama, on Saturday morning at Jubilee House in Accra. He will hold a meet with CAF's Vice-Presidents and later in the day there will be an Executive Committee meeting. Dr Motsepe will also attend a mixed zone with participants from the Young Reporters Workshop that has taken place on the sidelines of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, Ghana 2025 before heading to the University of Ghana Stadium. There he will attend the closing ceremony of the schools championship, and watch the Girls final between Ghana and Uganda, and the Boys decider between defending champions Tanzania and Senegal.
