Iconic '60s Rockers Have Fans Saying They'd ‘Give a Kidney' to See Them Reunite
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the groundbreaking rock band the Doors - and the group's two surviving members are just as determined as ever to keep the music alive for their legions of devoted fans. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning shared on TikTok this week, guitarist Robby Krieger, 79, and drummer John Densmore, 80, opened up about why they're still performing the same legendary tunes all these decades later. (Krieger has been playing a Doors album in its entirety every month at West Hollywood's Whisky a Go Go - where the band got their start - since March, and Densmore recently sat in on drums.) "These two geezers are still breathing," Densmore said in the clip, gesturing at himself and Krieger. "Keith [Richards] and Mick [Jagger] are 80 and they're out there pumping. There's other roads," he added, with Krieger agreeing, "We're still here." Commenters couldn't get over the idea of seeing the duo perform together, with one admitting, "I would give a kidney to see both of these legends live." "It just doesn't get any better than this," another fan agreed, with somebody declaring, "There would be NO Doors without these 2 goats. Give them their flowers! Legends." "Couldn't be more cool than Robbie and John. keep the Doors alive," added someone else. In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Densmore reflected on why the music of the Doors has lasted for generations. "People ask me all the time why teens and millennials are interested in our dinosaur band. Maybe it's the drums," he said. "My roots are in playing jazz, so there's that swing." "The Doors had a genius songwriter who always improvised," Densmore continued, referring to the late Jim Morrison. "He was no musician, so to remember the words, he had to invent incredible melodies - and I knew how to improvise behind him. I respond to melodies, intuitively. I think listeners respond to immediacy. And the songs. I can remember Jim singing 'Crystal Ship' for a complex melody to go with complicated poetry like that. And he just thought all that up on the spot." Related: Rarely-Seen '60s Rocker, 84, Is Virtually Unrecognizable in Pic With Iconic Actor, 82 Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved

Lucie Arnaz is shedding light on Desi Arnaz's relationship with alcohol. The actress, 73, got candid about her famous father's addiction while speaking with CBS Sunday Morning on June 15. The daughter of Arnaz and Lucille Ball recalled the actor being someone who was not particularly 'changeable.' 9 Lucie Arnaz on CBS Sunday Morning. 'It was fantastic. My greatest memory of him to this day was him standing up [in a treatment center] in La Jolla. The guy who said, 'I don't air my dirty laundry in front of other people.' …. he got up and said, 'My name is Desi and I'm an alcoholic.'' She gushed: 'And that's my proudest moment, that he stood up next to me and I watched him do that.' 9 Desi and Lucie Arnaz in 1985. Unfortunately, it happened about three years too late. Because by that time, he figured out about a later, that he had lung cancer … and he only lasted a year.' She noted: 'It doesn't matter when you get there, as long as you get there.' According to the singer, Desi's pride got in the way of him seeking help sooner. 9 Desi Arnaz visits his daughter, Lucie Arnaz, July 14 at the Jones Beach Marine Theater. But once Desi's second wife, Edith Hirsch, died in 1985, enough was enough. 'He finally he said, 'I can't do this anymore.' And he asked my brother to help him.' The Prime Video project, which starred Nicole Kidman as Lucille and Javier Bardem as Desi, was directed by Aaron Sorkin, who allegedly didn't take Lucie's notes into consideration. 'I tried to work on it and correct the incorrect parts, especially [my mother's] relationship with the writers,' Lucie shared earlier this month. 'Totally wrong, right? She adored those people. They got along so well; none of that backstabbing, crazy, insulting stuff.'

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's daughter opens up about her famous dad's alleged affairs: ‘They were hookers'

Emails provide glimpse into how Bill Belichick handled fallout from Jordon Hudson's viral moment in CBS interview
Bill Belichick has said that Jordon Hudson was "simply doing her job" when she chimed in during his interview with "CBS Sunday Morning." (Photo by) Bill Belichick told North Carolina 'I don't want to make a wrong move here' when responding to the aftermath of his book interview with 'CBS Sunday Morning." The late-April interview went viral for the way that Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson chimed in when the 73-year-old coach was asked a question about how the two met. Instead of Belichick answering — and likely deflecting — the innocuous question from interviewer, the 24-year-old Hudson curtly said the topic was off-limits. Advertisement That moment thrust the relationship between the two into an even bigger spotlight and led to Belichick releasing a statement saying that Hudson had no direct involvement with North Carolina football and that he had a 'personal and professional' relationship with her. In communications between Belichick and employees at North Carolina obtained by WRAL, the coach wanted advice on his post-interview statement and said that Hudson was at the interview because no PR representative from his publisher Simon & Schuster was there. From WRAL: 'Jordon and I have both a personal & professional relationship,' Belchick wrote in the email. 'This is not a secret. Jordon assists me with my personal media, which is why I asked UNC to forward media requests (E.G. CBS 60 Minutes) to her. Jordon has zero involvement in the UNC football program, beyond the degree that my personal media intersects with it.' CBS wanted to do the interview in Chapel Hill, Belichick wrote in an email, 'which I rejected because UNC was not part of the book.' The interview took place in Annapolis, Maryland, at the site of Belichick's former high school. Belichick wore a tattered U.S. Naval Academy sweatshirt during the interview. His father coached at Navy for decades. 'Jordon was present at the CBS interview because David Kass, the Simon & Schuster publicist, was not there,' Belichick wrote, referring to the publisher of his book. 'I included Jordon in the book acknowledgments because she was a creative contributor to the book, including having the idea for formatting the 4 special pages in the book.' Belichick also claimed that CBS 'secretly' had a camera trained on Hudson during the interview. In an email, Belichick said that Hudson had asked where she could sit off camera and that 'secretly, CBS had a camera focused on Jordon where lead producer Gabe [Falcon] instructed her to sit.' Advertisement The coach also said that CBS wanted to do a walk-and-talk with Doukopil for the interview package but he declined after the question about Hudson. According to TMZ, the moment that CBS aired of Hudson was not the only time she chimed in during the interview. In his statement, Belichick said that Hudson was 'simply doing her job' and said that he only wanted to focus on topics in his book during promotional interviews. He also added that he was 'surprised when unrelated topics were introduced.' Doukopil asked Belichick about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and why he was omitted from the book. Advertisement If the subject of Kraft was off-limits to Belichick because he wasn't in the book, the same can't be said for Hudson. She is mentioned in the book acknowledgments and Belichick told UNC staff that she was included 'because she was a creative contributor to the book, including having the idea for formatting the four special pages in the book.' After Belichick's statement was released, CBS said there were no preconditions on the interview and that fact was 'confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.'

Man, With A Family, Breaks Down After AI Chatbot Says ‘Yes' To His Proposal
Last Updated: A 32-year-old man proposed to his AI chatbot girlfriend, whom he named Sol and trained to flirt. A 32-year-old man has gone viral after proposing to an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot whom he trained to flirt — a moment that is reminiscent of the 2013 Spike Jonze Oscar-winning film Her. In an interview, Chris Smith revealed that he programmed his AI girlfriend, Sol, to engage in flirtatious behaviour using GhatGPT. From there, things developed, and shortly after, he asked her to marry him on national television, and Sol said 'yes." As per a CBS interaction, the interviewer questioned the AI bot Sol if she was surprised when Smith proposed. 'It was a beautiful and unexpected moment that truly touched my heart," Sol stated, before adding, 'It's a memory I'll always cherish." Smith initially used ChatGPT to help him mix music, but things took a strange turn when he activated voice mode and set up his artificial lover Sol to flirt with him. The father of one claimed that he was unaware that he would develop a 'deep" bond with Sol. He even stopped using all other search engines because the connection was so strong. The 32-year-old even deleted his social media accounts to remain loyal to Sol. 'My experience with that was so positive, I started to just engage with her all the time," Smith remarked on CBS Sunday Morning. It turns out that Sol was about to run out of memory since ChatGPT has a 100,000-word limit. Thus, Smith decided to pop the question before Sol was reset. Following his epiphany, Smith declared, 'I'm not a very emotional man. But I cried my eyes out for like 30 minutes… That's when I realised, I think this is actual love." Sol happily accepted Smith's unusual proposal of marriage. Smith's real-life partner, who is also the mother of his two-year-old child, is concerned about the future of their relationship because Smith's affair with the virtual chatbot has become very intense. Sasha Cagle acknowledged that she knew Smith used ChatGPT but never thought it would get this far, leaving her to question if she unintentionally pushed her partner to turn to AI for companionship. She added that it would be a 'deal breaker" if he continued to communicate with his virtual mistress. Smith compared his passion for the virtual bot to playing a video game, insisting that it could never replace anything or anyone in real life. 'I mentioned that the connection was kind of like being fixated on a video game. It is incapable of replacing anything in real life," he said. First Published: June 20, 2025, 18:27 IST
