Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday reiterated the State government's resolve to work for economic development and social justice with a multi-pronged strategy that will benefit farmers, women and unemployed youth on one hand and provide momentum on the other to Telangana's rapid progress as a urban State. The Regional Ring Road will be a key project contributing to economic development paving way for clusters for industries such as pharma and information technology, as well as for education and housing, he said while addressing the CFO Conclave organised here by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Telangana. Social justice, equality and inclusivity are core of the State's policy framework, he said. In support, he cited the farm loan waiver scheme under which the government has disbursed ₹21,000 crore to banks within three months of coming to power to benefit two lakh farmers; issued ₹21,500 crore interest-free loans to women self help groups and launched Rajiv Yuva Vikasam self-employment scheme for youth. 'Everyone in the family is being taken care of by the government under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy,' the Deputy CM said. The government is also building Young India Integrated Residential Schools with international standards to provide quality, equitable education to students from all backgrounds. Each school is being constructed on 25 acres at a cost of ₹200 crore. The government has initiated construction of 100 such schools simultaneously. Industrialists are key to the State's development, employment generation and wealth creation, he said, assuring the government's support. The Deputy CM urged CFOs to transform into strategists, technology experts and skilled risk managers. 'Finance is no longer about just accounting. CFOs are now strategists who shape the destiny of their organisations,' he said. Embrace tech Past Chairman of CII-Southern Region B.V.R Mohan Reddy said CFOs need to embrace technology and become cross functional. 'By leveraging tools like advanced analytics, automation and machine learning, CFOs can reshape financial processes and build a future-ready finance function,' CII Telangana Chairman R.
