Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the growing popularity of nautical tourism could soon make it a major draw for visitors to the state. He noted that Sabah's natural advantages - its coastline, waterways, and scenic beaches—position it well to offer unique sailing experiences. The Chief Minister's speech, delivered by Assistant Tourism, Cultural and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, highlighted the potential of Dalit Beach to become a world-class tourist destination. He added that sailing events like this could spur economic activity, promote Sabah's cultural heritage, and raise the State's profile globally. The event also supports the State's target of 3.5 million tourist arrivals this year, contributing to a more diverse tourism sector. Hajiji said Sabah's natural landscapes, from oceans to mountains, continue to attract nature lovers and adventurers from around the world. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
