Chris Evans MP visits BRUSH Switchgear in Pontllanfraith
Chris Evans, MP for Caerphilly, is urging constituents to consider BRUSH Switchgear's apprenticeship scheme in Pontllanfraith after visiting the company's Hawtin Park site.
He was given a tour by BRUSH Group CEO Nicolas Pitrat and business operations director Jason King.
Mr Evans said: "I want to thank BRUSH for showing me around their site in Pontllanfraith.
"It is fantastic to see a business with such deep roots in the community continuing to thrive and make things that we all rely on.
"Apprenticeships can be a vital first step into a lucrative and rewarding career path.
"Those on the scheme run by BRUSH can earn while they learn vital skills, leading to a nationally recognised qualification."
BRUSH Switchgear, which has a long-standing presence in the region, offers apprenticeships in engineering, manufacturing, and business-related fields.
The company partners with Coleg Gwent to deliver its training programmes.
Mr Evans also learned about BRUSH's new CRYNO switchgear product during his visit.
Mr Pitrat said: "I was delighted to welcome Chris Evans MP to our state-of-the-art switchgear manufacturing facility from which we proudly innovate, design, and manufacture switchgear solutions that form part of the UK's energy infrastructure."
