Heat warning in effect for Windsor-Essex

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through on Monday, ending the extreme heat and humidity by Monday evening. With the humidity, it could feel like up to 40 outside. While the humidity will subside by Monday night, high temperatures are expected for much of the week, with Canada Day on Tuesday reaching almost 30 degrees. Here's a look at the rest of the forecast Sunday: Sunny. High 31. Humidex 38. Sunday night: Clear. Low 20. Monday: Increasing cloudiness. 30 per cent chance of showers changing to 70 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. Risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Wind becoming south 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning. High 29. Humidex 38. Tuesday (Canada Day): A mix of sun and cloud. High 29. Wednesday: Sunny. High 30. Willistead Manor summer tours begin next week

The 36-room mansion sits within the 15-acre Willistead Park. The location offers tours, weddings, receptions, meetings, performances and special events. Willistead Manor was recently recognized at the Best of Windsor-Essex Awards with the 'Best Attraction – Historical' award for the second year in a row. Tours will be offered on Wednesdays in July from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
