I've seen 100s of celebrity kitchens, but Sarah Michelle Gellar's white and wood combination is the most timeless – it's the epitome of lasting style

Some combinations never tire, and one that is always a win in our books is a white and wood kitchen. A winning duo that is a staple within aesthetics such as organic modern and modern farmhouse, the natural materials and light shades make any space feel warm and inviting. This is especially true for kitchens, as proven by Sarah Michelle Gellar's Instagram page. The actor's space features white marble countertops and a backsplash, a wood kitchen island and cabinets, and white wall paint, all of which provide some neutral kitchen ideas that will look just as classic in another decade. Since working on the celebrity style desk, I've seen 100s of color and material variations, but this white and wooden combination has to be the most ageless – wouldn't you agree? Who says a trivet has to be boring? This gorgeous, marble piece is perfect for keeping dishes sturdy and safe. From $54.95 at Williams Sonoma This multi-use board can display charcuterie or is just as functional to chop vegetables on. From $59 at abc carpet and home Kitchen storage is solved with these matte and wood, high-volume jars. From $65.00 at West Elm According to experts, there is a big reason that neutral kitchens, comprised of natural materials and soft colors, are so enduring through trends. Mor Krisher, the head of product design at Caesarstone, explains: 'A neutral kitchen surface will give you flexibility when choosing accessories if you're someone who likes to update your kitchen with the seasons. A neutral worktop pairs beautifully with other hues, giving you the versatility to incorporate different colors and textures into your kitchen as the seasons change.' Neutrals act as somewhat of a blank canvas, so when you have a solid base of white, cream, and/or wood in your kitchen, you can easily infuse color and pattern into the space with tea towels, ceramic dishes, or even bold appliances. If you want to keep the calming ambiance going, opt for nature-inspired hues, like forest green and terracotta. To keep neutral kitchens looking visually interesting, designers recommend experimenting with layering textures and materials. 'Neutral kitchens have an enduring charm that transcends trends,' explains designer Tom Howley. 'Their understated elegance creates a calming backdrop, allowing homeowners to personalize with texture, material, and subtle accents. A well-designed neutral space never feels cold or clinical – it offers warmth, versatility and timeless sophistication that grows with the home.' Marble, like in Sarah Michelle's kitchen, is a great example of a visually intriguing neutral, with its intricate veining and luxe finish. You can also introduce materials such as rattan and of course, wood, to achieve a similar impact. Always versatile and chic, white and wood is a truly timeless combination, with plenty of room to play around and adapt to incoming trends.

Heartbreaking detail in Ex-Bachelorette Georgia Love's property listing after shock split from Lee Elliot

The Bachelorette's Georgia Love and Lee Elliot are selling their former marital home in Melbourne's leafy eastern suburbs amid their divorce. Love, 35, and Elliot, 43, confirmed their split in February after first meeting on the 2018 season of The Bachelorette and later marrying in 2021. 'After nine wonderful years together, including four as husband and wife, Lee and l have made the incredibly difficult decision to lovingly part ways,' Love announced in a statement via Instagram. Now, the former reality stars have listed their spacious four-bed, three-bath Hampton East townhouse for between $1.5 million and $1.58 million. The listing is being managed by agency Hodges in Sandringham and is set to go under the hammer on June 21. 'Ready to entertain you inside and out, this architectural four bedroom, three bathroom design goes over and above with a wall of bi-folds separating expansive open-plan living-dining from a pergola-shaded al fresco area, and an elite Siemens appliance kitchen plus a fully-plumbed BBQ kitchen,' an advertisement for the property said. 'Built on a spectacular scale with a vast master-domain (comprising a balconied bedroom, fitted dressing-room and dual-vanity ensuite) encompassing almost half the upper level, this adaptable design changes with the times with a versatile ground-floor bedroom beside its own full bathroom adding accessibility through the ages.' The home also includes features like Caesarstone benchtops, solid Tasmanian Oak floors as well as practical touches like double-glazed windows throughout. While public figures often remove personal items and furniture before staging a property, the former couple's real belongings are still visible in the listing photos. In a heartbreaking twist, a framed family photo of Georgia and Lee in happier times could be seen in the living room. The happy snap, which shows the exes beaming at each other, was sitting atop a well-appointed wine rack by the fireplace. The real estate listing comes weeks after Love addressed her divorce for the first time in an interview with Kate Langbroek on Mamamia's No Filter podcast. During the chat, Love opened about feeling a sense of guilt over letting Bachelorette fans downs after previously being heralded as one of the reality show's rare success stories. 'I don't want to feel like I've let anyone down, which is so silly because it's not about anyone else, it's about us,' she said. 'People have been so wonderful following our story since the start and so many say they look at our relationship and it gives them hope. 'I've been really sad feeling like I've let people down.'

With Love, Meghan: inside the Montecito home used to film the Duchess of Sussex's new series

There's no denying that Meghan Markle knows interior design, as demonstrated by the glimpses we're getting of the $14.7 million (£11.6m) mansion she shares with Prince Harry in her brand-new series on Netflix, streaming from March 4. Or does she? The eight-part cooking and entertaining series, With Love, Meghan, is actually filmed at an $8 million (£6.3m) farmhouse just two miles down the road from the couple's real property they share with children Archie and Lilibet and belongs to renowned philanthropists Tom and Sherrie Cipolla. Interestingly, around the same time as Meghan reappeared on Instagram to promote the show under @meghan, so did the new @montecitoorchard account, seemingly used by the Cipollas to plug their estate for exclusive weddings and events. Indeed, the producers of Meghan's new series certainly weren't kidding when the voice-over on the teaser said: 'Let's make a show.' As you'd imagine, everything about the house — set on five acres of sprawling Santa Barbara countryside with spectacular mountain views and comprising 4,500-square-foot of open-plan living space that includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms — has been painstakingly curated. 'I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it,' Meghan says while building a board of crudités with hummus, 'and I'm going to share some little tips and tricks.' Rather surprisingly, perhaps, the undisputed star of the show isn't the Duchess herself, but the luxuriously-appointed country kitchen, which has more than a little Martha Stewart-meets-Nancy Meyers about it. Think cream Shaker-style cabinetry, black hardware, sleek Caesarstone countertops, butler's sink, oversized Thermador cooker, kitchen island, rustic wooden bowls, butcher blocks, blue-and-white serveware and Le Creuset pots and pans as far as the eye can see. It's not just about the kitchen, though. As billed on the recently-launched Instagram handle for the gated residence, there's a lemon grove and avocado orchard, too, not to mention bee hives from which Meghan (in full beekeeping suit) collects honey, a glasshouse — the Beckhams have a similar Victorian-style design from Alitex UK — vegetable garden and plenty of raised beds spilling over with flowers. A party barn, this summer's hottest garden trend, also complements the main building to provide ample living and entertaining space for both residents and guests. Prior to either estate in Montecito – rental or home – the Sussexes stayed at close friend and filmmaker Tyler Perry's house in LA as a temporary pitstop, while back in the UK they started married life at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor after renting a Grade II-listed cottage in the Cotswolds. Could another big move be on the horizon for the Sussexes? The value of Harry and Meghan's Montecito estate is reported to have skyrocketed since they bought it, and reports suggest Meghan no longer wants to rent a kitchen for the filming of her series. To recreate the look, blend high-end comfort with natural elements to create a serene, stylish and welcoming atmosphere Birgit Klein But how do you get Meghan's Montecito aesthetic in your own home? 'When it comes to interior design, Montecito has become synonymous with understated luxury and effortless sophistication,' says Birgit Klein, the Montecito-based interior designer to the stars. 'To recreate the look, blend high-end comfort with natural elements to create a serene, stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Think muted tones paired with reclaimed materials; open, flowing spaces, high-quality, comfortable furnishings; and indoor-outdoor living with sliding glass doors, lounge areas, fire pits and expansive seating.' Luckily, Restoration Hardware – the seriously high-end American brand that opened its first UK outpost in Oxfordshire back in 2023 – has also launched its timely Montecito collection featuring everything from sofas to cabinets and tables in Meghan-approved American white oak. You'll need to fork out for its expensive designs, but it's a small price to pay to keep up with the Sussexes, right?
