Aurum strikes 7.5-gold ounce dirt in West African ground
Aurum Resources has reported exceptional recent results from ongoing exploration diamond drilling at the company's Boundiali gold project in Côte d'Ivoire, where it holds an 80 per cent interest in the BM tenement. The company has completed 23 diamond core holes totalling 5728.9 metres of drilling at its BM Target 3 deposit within Boundiali. The program has yielded more high-grade gold intercepts, including a best hole delivering 4.2m at 80.64 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 107m depth, including 2.9m at 116.66g/t gold and 1.43m at an astonishing 234.35g/t gold. A separate run intercepted 5.66m at 6.99g/t gold from 121m. A 234.35g/t gold grade equates to more than 7.5 Troy ounces of gold per tonne. A second-best hole intercepted 13m at 2.18g/t gold from 40m, including 5m at 3.39g/t gold. A third-best hole in the current assays cored through 3m at 4.32g/t gold from 332m, including 1m at 8.88g/t gold. 'It is my pleasure to announce further shallow high-grade gold intercepts at the Boundiali project, including 234.35 g/t gold over 1.43m within 80.46 g/t gold over 4.2m from 107m.' Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang All depths are downhole dimensions. The true widths are estimated to be between 60–80 per cent of the downhole lengths. The latest results further strengthen the overall highly prospective indications gained from a growing body of recent drilling results. These now include 17 selected holes with hot intercepts such as 3m at 50.56g/t gold from 124m, including 1m at 150.5g/t gold, a long run of 29m at 1.55g/t from 178m, including 13m at 2.19g/t gold, and a separate hole which nailed 1.19m at an eye-watering 277.54g/t gold from 31m. The last results equate to 8.9 ounces per tonne. Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang said: 'It is my pleasure to announce further shallow high-grade gold intercepts at the Boundiali project, including 234.35 g/t gold over 1.43m within 80.46 g/t gold over 4.2m from 107m. This intercept, located 70m west and 100m down dip from a 230m-long artisanal open pit, was from drilling targeting extensions of known mineralisation in the current BMT3 MRE.'

Big Aurum drilling program aims to extend West African gold
Aurum Resources has launched a 30,000-metre diamond drilling campaign at its 0.87-million-ounce Napié project, centred about 110 kilometres southeast of the company's flagship Boundiali project in Côte d'Ivoire. The two-rig program aims to expand the current Napié resource, drill other thinly tested targets and deliver an updated mineral resource estimate for the project by the end of the year. Management says it plans to add two more rigs to the program, which it hopes to complete by the end of the year. Previous drilling intercepts at Napié offer plenty of encouragement for success, delivering long runs and high grades at shallow depths. These include 13 metres at 20.82 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 32m, 32m assaying 7.10g/t gold from 13m, and 9m going 22.73g/t gold from 36m. Two other intercepts gave up 10m running 18.98g/t gold from 7m and 41m assaying 4.51g/t gold from 17m. 'We are working on a multi-pronged approach, drilling to grow the 0.87-million-ounce Napié MRE and drilling to define new gold resources from the portfolio of encouraging prospects that have never been followed up.' Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang Company research reveals that only 4.4km or 13 per cent of the 30km-long Napié shear has been systematically drilled to define gold resources. Remarkably, 93 per cent of the current 0.87-million-ounce Napié gold resource lurks within 150m from surface. This leaves Aurum with vast potential to explore along the more than 25km of largely untested remaining strike, coupled with further possible treasures at depths below the limits of previous drilling. The existing mineral resource consists of the combined 545,000-ounce Tchaga resource in the central area of the prospective ground within the company's 30km-long tenement and the 323,000-ounce Gogbala resource, about 6.5km south of Tchaga.

Aurum fleshes out potential giant West African open-pit gold deposit
Aurum Resources' Boundiali gold project in Côte d'Ivoire keeps on keeping on, with its latest results including a 66-metre run assaying 1.07 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 33m at the company's BDT1 deposit on the key gold trend in its BD ground. The intercept includes 21.73m assaying 1.01g/t gold from 39m and 29m going 1.46g/t gold from 69m. The intercept includes 4.16m at nil grade after the core could not be retrieved due to bad ground. A second 325m deep diamond drill hole put into BDT1 cored out 71.72m assaying 0.72 g/t gold from 187m, including 6.50m running 1.72g/t gold. A third 337m deep hole, also in the BDT1 deposit, revealed a more complex gold distribution with three separate runs, including 3m at 1.78g/t gold from 95m, with 1m at 5.11g/t gold; a further 32m assaying 0.76g/t gold from 107m, including 3m at 3.73g/t gold; and a third run of 24m going 0.78 g/t gold from 143m, including 4m at 3.02g/t gold. The latest assays relate to 23 diamond drill holes for 6112.43m of drilling, divided between eight holes for 2665.95m at Aurum's BDT1 deposit and 15 holes for 3446.48m at the company's BDT3 prospect. Both targets lie within the Boundiali project's BD tenement. 'These results are from drilling designed to upgrade inferred resources to indicated, test the limits of known gold mineralisation, and incorporate previously unclassified mineralisation into the next MRE update.' Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang The best grade picked up in the latest results comes from a diamond drill hole in BDT1, which gave up 4.59m assaying 3.26g/t gold from 34m, including 0.59m at 21.38 g/t gold. The best primary grade reported from the BDT3 prospect's current batch of results is 5m going 1.24g/t gold from 264m, including 4.1m going 1.4g/t gold. The longest primary intercept from the BDT3 prospect is 9m assaying 0.95g/t gold from 138m, including 4m at 1.84g/t gold.
