Coronation Street horror as evil villain makes 'impossible' return against all odds - leaving fans sick to their stomachs
Coronation Street fans were left sick to their stomachs after an evil villain made an 'impossible' return against all odds during Monday's episode of the ITV show. Lauren Bolton, played by actress Cait Fitton in the programme, couldn't believe her eyes when she thought that she'd seen Joel Deering (Calum Lill) - which makes no sense as he is dead. After viewers will know the evil solicitor was killed by Lauren back in September last year. During the most recent episode of Corrie, Lauren didn't realise that she had taken a sip of lemonade, which had LSD in it, when she attended Aadi Alahan's (Adam Hussain) party. When a man wondered up to her, Lauren was convinced that it was Joel, not knowing that it was actually the drugs taking over her body. Just before Aadi could get to her and give her the help she needed, Lauren locked herself in the factory. The teen scared herself that much that she thought that 'Joel' was trying to take her baby Frankie away from her. 'I don't want to do this, give me Frankie please,' she told him. She then shouted: 'Just give him to me Joel!' Lauren welcomed Frankie into the world after she fell pregnant with Joel's child after he groomed and abused her for many months. Those watching at home were left gobsmacked at the scenes and rushed to X. 'Lauren is having a massive trip and seeing dead Joel.' 'OMG Lauren??????????' 'Lauren seeing Joel oh god #corrie.' 'One word for tonight's #Corrie WTF !! That was wacky.' Lauren and Joel started to get close when he helped her with an arrest. He also helped her with any money that she needed, but she had to give something back in return - sex. But Lauren wanted to cut it off at one point and even threatened him that she would tell his girlfriend Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown). This led him to beating her up and she was left in a really bad way and absent from the Cobbles for half a year. When she returned to Weatherfield things got heated again and she ended up murdering Joel after he attacked her friend Max Turner (Paddy Bever). It comes after it was revealed that Jack Carroll has reportedly left the show after two years - and fans have already seen his final scenes. The actor, 26, who shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent, joined the soap in 2023 as Bobby Crawford. It's now been revealed by The Mirror that Bobby has departed the soap — though his exit isn't permanent, with the door left ajar for a possible comeback in the future. A source told the publication: 'Bobby has had a dramatic couple of years on the cobbles, but the time has come to bid farewell. Actor Jack enjoyed his time on the soap, but it's time to move on. 'Viewers won't see the character exit the street as he's already left, with Jack filming his final scenes some time ago. 'The door has been left open for Jack should he wish to come back to the show in the future. With his Aunty Carla there, Bobby will always have a place in Weatherfield.'

Coronation Street villain makes horror return from the dead as victim is haunted in harrowing scenes
CORONATION Street fans are in for a shock as a twisted villain makes a chilling return from beyond the grave - leaving their former victim haunted in terrifying scenes. Lauren Bolton was left horrified in tonight's (Monday) episode after she thought evil Joel Deering had come back from the dead in spine-tingling scenes. 4 4 The troubled teen - played by Cait Fitton - agreed to join pal Betsy Swain at Aadi Alahan's wild midsummer bash, but things took a dark turn when she unknowingly drank lemonade laced with LSD. Stumbling into the ginnel in a drug -fuelled haze, Lauren was approached by a mystery man checking if she was okay - but in her hallucinatory state, she was convinced it was twisted abuser Joel and totally freaked out. As the hallucinations intensified, Lauren found herself inside the factory, convinced that monster Joel had kidnapped baby Frankie. By the time a panicked Aadi tracked her down, she was in a state of complete hysteria - sobbing, shaking and terrified. But will Lauren be able to bounce back from the traumatic trip? Or has this harrowing ordeal reopened old wounds that may never heal? Corrie viewers know that Joel put Lauren through a living nightmare - grooming, manipulating and eventually attacking her before leaving her for dead. Her disappearance sparked a murder investigation, only for her to reappear alive… and pregnant with his baby. But the horror didn't end there. In a sickening twist, Joel tried to drug Lauren to bring on early labour and force her to lose the baby. Thankfully, the evil plan backfired, and Lauren went on to safely give birth to little Frankie. Joel's reign of terror only ended when Lauren struck him with a rock - in a desperate bid to save Max Turner from being strangled. She later stood trial for his death but was found not guilty. Now, Lauren has been trying to rebuild her life as a young mum - but her terrifying trip may prove that her past still isn't done haunting her. Soap's most harrowing teen storylines We take a look at other harrowing teen soap storylines from soaps Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. Belle Dingle's schizophrenia in Emmerdale - Belle's (Eden Taylor-Draper) traumatic journey in Emmerdale took a dark turn when, after accidentally killing her best friend Gemma at just 16, her mental health began to spiral. The storyline, which saw Belle struggling with her grief and guilt, showcased her battle with hearing Gemma's voice inside her head, leading to a dramatic decline in her well-being. Hannah Ashworth's anorexia in Hollyoaks - Viewers were horrified as they watched Hannah (Emma Rigby), a seemingly innocent teen, spiral into dangerous behavior, starving herself in an attempt to achieve what she thought was the ideal body. As Hannah's condition worsened, the storyline became more intense, culminating in her being hospitalised for two months as she fought for her life. Bethany Platt's grooming ordeal in Coronation Street - Vulnerable schoolgirl, played by Lucy Fallon, was at the centre of one of Corrie's darkest storylines to date when she fell under the spell of her older boyfriend and sexual predator. The controversial scenes saw Nathan groom and manipulate the 16-year-old before coercing her into sleeping with his friends, with one of them raping her. Whitney Dean's abuse from Tony in EastEnders - Since the age of 12, she had been in a twisted relationship with her stepmum Bianca's boyfriend, Tony King. The predator had groomed young Whit (Shona McGarty), making her believe she was in love and planning to run away with him. On her 16th birthday, the traumatised teen finally revealed the years of abuse to Bianca. Tony was swiftly sent to prison sentenced for 13 years. Meanwhile, still high on LSD, Nina and Summer let themselves into the darkened café. When they hear the sound of sirens, they cling to each other, terrified. As the group come to terms with the disturbing events of the evening, the aftermath is felt across the neighbourhood, will the truth of what happened come out? Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX. 4 4

Corrie's Cait Fitton opens up on harsh sides of fame - 'it's taken time'
Since joining Coronation Street last year, Cait Fitton has braced herself for the challenges of soap stardom. Cait Fitton recently hinted at brewing turmoil for her character, Lauren Bolton, in Coronation Street, saying, "She's at a really stable point of her life. She has a job at the Rovers behind the bar and she's learning the craft. She's trying to build relationships. That's where the party comes in." What starts as fun quickly leads to disaster when Aadi (Adam Hussain), egged on by Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), decides to throw a bash. READ MORE: Coronation Street Brody's real dad revealed in huge DNA bombshell READ MORE: Amazon reduces 'long lasting' Hugo Boss perfume that 'always gets compliments' In scenes airing on ITV, Lauren attends with Summer, Nina, and Brody, but drama unfolds when newcomer Brody, portrayed by Ryan Mulvey, begins peddling LSD. Confiding in her fans, Cait revealed, "Lauren doesn't even know what is going on," and "She has anxiety over whether or not she should even be there because she doesn't know anybody apart from Betsy. She seems out of place, though she tries her best to fit in." The turn of events sees Lauren accidentally consuming LSD, leading to a harrowing ordeal. "She has a traumatic experience with it," Cait shared, insisting that "We see a side of her that we haven't seen for months." Her experience at the party sets off a chain reaction affecting her trajectory on the show. With anticipation, Cait suggested, "It's going to be a rollercoaster. Everybody at that party - their lives are going to be changed. I don't know how she'll go through it. " Cait has opened up about the challenges of her intense soap scenes, admitting that while she's flourishing as Lauren, the emotional demands of the role have been a journey. "It's taken me a long time to have thick skin, it's not an overnight process," she reveals." We are normal people outside of filming, but everyone sees the characters as actual people. That can be really hard, especially with Lauren, who is a complex character. "The actress shared how tough it's been on set since her co-star Paddy Bever, who played Max Turner, left the show following his character's arrest and imprisonment for arson. "It's been really hard without Paddy," Cait confesses. "My journey started with him and his time ended with me. It was strange to wrap my head around doing scenes without him. I miss working with Paddy." Despite the distance, Cait maintains a strong bond with Paddy. "I am in touch with him," she says, "We're both very busy, but we do catch up. We are in need of an in-person catch-up soon. "In the wake of Paddy's departure, Lauren has found camaraderie with Betsy Swain, portrayed by Sydney Martin, and Cait is thankful for her new co-star. "Sydney has a beautiful aura to be around," Cait praises. "She's so positive and the best person to go to for advice. I had that with Paddy but being with a girl who is the same age as you is different. We clicked straight away. We're always looking for each other at work. She's like my home. " The duo enjoy spending creative time together, even planning a pottery date. However, Cait has also received support from several other co-stars, including David Neilson, who plays Roy Cropper, and Alison King, known for her role as Carla Connor.
