Our shopping editors share 5 insider tips for how to get the best deals on Prime Day
I've been covering Prime Day and other big deal days for almost 10 years, as has the majority of the Business Insider Reviews team, so we have a few tricks up our sleeves when it comes to spotting a good deal. But the truth is that when it comes to deal shopping, buying a bunch of stuff at a discount is not the same as saving money. I asked our deals editors for their best advice and shopping hacks for making the most of Prime Day, and they have some great tips about spending now to save later. Before you jump in, if you're just starting your deal browsing journey, see our roundup of the best Prime Day deals. Otherwise, read on for our advice on getting the best deals. 1. Start by going through your order history to see if anything you purchase regularly is on sale. Toilet paper, cat litter, shampoo, cleaning products — think about your recurring purchases and check to see if they're on sale. Buying an extra pack of something you'll need in the future at a solid discount is a good way to save money in the long run. If you don't usually shop for those items on Amazon and your order history isn't going to help you much, try browsing Amazon's Prime Day deals on household essentials and see if anything you need or regularly buy is on sale. 2. Don't be afraid to pause your Subscribe and Save purchases if the discount on Prime Day is cheaper. Are those vitamins you subscribe to every month on super sale during Prime Day? Pick up a couple bottles now and pause your subscription for a short while. 3. Use a price-checker like CamelCamelCamel or Keepa to see an item's price history. CamelCamelCamel is an easy way to see an item's price history, specifically on Amazon. Just drop the link to the product you're looking at, and you can see long-term pricing data to understand if you're getting a good deal. Keepa is a similar plugin tool that will show price history right on an Amazon product page. 4. Add things to your wish list or cart and track the prices there. Adding items to your wishlist or shopping cart is a great way to keep track of everything you're eyeing, but it can also help you track prices. Amazon tells you how the current price compares to when the item was added to your wishlist or cart, so you'll know what's on sale and if it's a real deal. Plus, if your wishlist is set to public, you can "import wishlist" into CamelCamelCamel and also set alerts for when products dip below a certain price. 5. Trade in old Amazon devices and receive an immediate discount to use on top of Prime Day prices. If you have old Amazon devices lying around and want to upgrade to a newer version, you can trade in your old device and get an immediate discount, which can be applied to Prime Day deals for extra savings. Most trade-ins will get you 20% off your purchase immediately, with the refund hitting your account once your old device is received. Ninja Thirsti bottle drops to lowest EVER price for Amazon Prime Day – keeps drinks ice cold or fizzy ‘for days'
Amazon Prime Day is here, and the major sale event includes a huge price drop on one of Ninja's bestselling products. The Ninja Thirsti bottle has been cut by a hefty 37% off, reducing the price from £34.99 to £21.99. 1 Ninja Thirsti water bottle £19.99 (was £29.99) Only Prime members can access the deals featured in Amazon Prime Day, which include the Ninja Thirsti bottle. Don't worry if you're not already an Amazon Prime member though, because you can sign up for a 30-day free trial. It's currently at the cheapest ever price for the size that's on sale, according to which is the 700ml version. Not only is it a bestseller, but it's also ideal for this time of year, especially with another heatwave starting this week. The bottle has triple insulation, which means the drink inside can stay cold for up to 24 hours - but shoppers claim it's even longer. If you add ice you can also extend the cold temperature, as according to Ninja, it won't melt for up to two days. Heading to the beach or on a road trip this weekend? The bottle could be a handy addition to your summer days out, saving money on buying drinks, which would inevitably become lukewarm in minutes when sat in 30 degree heat. The large 700ml size could keep you going all day too, providing you with that all-important hydration. Water's not the only drink you can use the bottle for - the options are endless, as it will also retain fizz. Cinema-goers can pop their favourite soft drink in, or if you're off for a picnic, you can avoid your Pimms going flat or warm. It can be used for hot drinks too, so it's not just a summer bargain, and you can keep the heat in for up to eight hours. The bottle comes in several colours, but you'll want to opt for the blue, grey, mint or white shades to get the discount on the 700ml size. The 530ml bottle is also reduced from £29.99 to £19.99, if you'd rather opt for a more compact size. Over 1,800 shoppers have bought the Ninja Thirsti, which is Amazon's most popular insulated bottle. One shopper said: ''It keeps my drinks cold for upwards of two full days, especially if there is ice in too.'' ''Other popular brands I have only last 20 hours at best.'' Another shopper commented: ''Very sturdy and versatile water bottle and very stylish. You can use it for any drinks - hot, cold, fizzy, it takes them all.'' While a third added: ''I drink a lot of fizzy pop in cans, I now buy large bottles and pour it into this as it keeps the pop fizzy.'' ''Find it naturally quite heavy and bulky but overall I love it.'' Ninja Thirsti water bottle £19.99 (was £29.99) It's been a good couple of weeks for Ninja fans - just last week I found a great deal on the Ninja FrostVault, which keeps food and drink cold for up to five days and is great for camping and BBQs. AMAZON PRIME SHOPPING TIPS Amazon runs two Prime Day events a year, one in July and one in October. The event can be exciting for shoppers, but it is important not to get carried away and make impulse purchases which aren't good value. The Sun previously spoke to Liz Hunter, commercial director at price comparison website Money Expert, who said shoppers should be wary of unknown brands. She said: "While searching on Amazon, you're likely to come across products from random, unrecognisable brands. "These products often undercut key players on price, but without brand reputation, you risk sacrificing quality and durability." Meanwhile, Tom Church, founder of previously said shoppers should take advantage of offers on garden tools and tech gadgets. Caution for Prime Day shoppers Reena Sewraz, Which? Retail Editor, said: 'As millions of shoppers dive into the deals from Amazon Prime Day, Which? is urging bargain hunters to take care when buying products from online marketplaces. "While there are genuinely good deals on offer, our investigations have revealed safety issues with products sold through online marketplaces - including Amazon." Which? has exposed many instances of unsafe and even illegal products sold online - from fire-hazard heaters to choking hazards in children's toys and sunglasses that fail to offer adequate UV protection. 'Which? recommends that shoppers look carefully at the brand, read a range of positive and negative reviews and check for information on safety standards.'

I can barely function without my Tile trackers — they're HALF PRICE for Prime Day
IF you ask any of my friends, family or colleagues to describe me, it's very unlikely that the word "organised" will be mentioned. There's only one reason that I ever manage to leave the house on time with my keys, wallet and phone: Tile trackers. Tile Mate 3-Pack, £54.99 £27.49 from Amazon BUY HERE The nifty little gadgets attach to your keys, wallet or any other easily misplaced item, allowing you to easily find them with your phone. You could even pop one in the glovebox of your car. They're pretty reasonably priced even at full whack, but you can pick them up for a steal in the Amazon Prime Day Sale. The Tile Mate 3-Pack, which comprises a trio of keyring-compatible trackers that can easily be attached to your keys, rucksack or suitcase, has been slashed from £54.99 to just £27.49, a discount of 50%. It's — by quite some distance — the cheapest we've ever seen this product on Amazon. According to price tracker CamelCamelCamel, the lowest price this multipack has reached previously is £38.49. The deal is part of Amazon's annual Prime Day sale, which this year is bigger and longer than ever — it spans four days, from Tuesday 8th until Friday 11th. Tile trackers work very simply; you attach them to the item of your choice, then hook them up to the easy-to-use Tile app, which you can then use to locate your belongings if they get misplaced. You can do this in two ways. The first is to trigger a loud ringtone, which you can use to find your keys if you've accidentally lost them down a sofa cushion or left them in the pocket of your jeans. The second is by checking its location history, which is helpful if you've managed to leave your keys in a taxi or at a restaurant — I can still see a wallet I lost abroad nearly three years ago. Here's my favourite bit, though; as well as using your phone to find your keys, you can also use a nifty button on your keyring to find your phone. For me, this is the Tile's real party trick; you can't imagine how much I misplace my phone, and being able to find it using my keys or wallet has probably saved me hours of throwing sofa cushions around and dragging coats out of my closet. You can, of course, get similar results to the Tile Mate using the Apple AirTag, which is also on sale for Prime Day and offers a couple of advantages over the Tile Mate, mostly regarding location accuracy. However, a three-pack of AirTags is significantly more expensive — they're also less waterproof and only work with iOS devices. It's no exaggeration to say that my Tile trackers have made me a more organised person — they've certainly made me more prompt, and I spend far less time frantically turning my flat upside down to find things.

This will help other shoppers when trying to bag a deal. You can sign up for the website for free, and once you're signed in you'll be able to see a list of all the top Amazon price drops, daily drops, and weekly drops by percentage.
