LeAnn Rimes recalls intense backlash she faced for Eddie Cibrian affair: ‘I was a target'

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's infamous affair came with major fallout. The 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' singer, 42, looked back on 'all of the craziness' that she and Cibrian, 52, dealt with when they cheated on their respective former spouses over 15 years ago. 'I realized very quickly that there are a lot of women who've been hurt,' Rimes said in a new interview with Flow Space. 'Like, I've been on both sides of that coin — I've been cheated on, too, so I know that feeling.' Advertisement 10 LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian attend MusiCares Person of the Year in 2020. And once I realized that, things got a lot easier.' Rimes and Cibrian started up their affair in 2008 while they were filming the Lifetime movie 'Northern Lights.' Leann Rimes details ‘embarrassment' after her teeth fell out during performance

There's a first time for everything — but Leann Rimes hopes this first is more of a last. In a video posted to her Instagram, the 42-year-old Grammy-winning singer told her fans a story about the 'most epic experience ever,' which saw her musical talent put to the test live on stage. It all went down during a recent performance at Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington. 'Last night, I was on stage in the middle of 'One Way Ticket.' I feel something pop in my mouth,' Rimes admitted in the June 21 video. What Rimes really needed at the time was a one-way ticket to the dentist. 'If you've been around, you know I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night,' she continued. Rimes performed in front of the Skagit Valley crowd on June 20 and 21, according to her website. But instead of stopping her show, Rimes was living proof that the show must go on. 'I panicked and in the middle (of the song) said, 'Hold on,' and ran to the side of the stage and popped it back in and then just went on singing' she explained in the video. For the rest of the show, Rimes said she had to constantly push her front teeth back into place. She later confessed to the crowd about what happened. 'I had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage,' she added. Rimes further described it as 'the most epic example of the show must go on.' 'I don't have a lot of firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last,' she joked. Elsewhere in the confession, Rimes said that she learned something about herself amid the panic. The 'Committed' singer went on to admit that she never knew how many difficult sounds she makes when she sings — especially the types of sounds that require front teeth to create. She singled out her song 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' as one that was particularly hard to sing, adding that her teeth 'completely fell out of her mouth' a second time while performing it. Rimes later joked that she hoped her teeth would stay in place when she returned to the venue the following night. 'If you catch them, return them,' she joked of her teeth. Rimes then used her mishap as a reminder for other artists who experience something similar. 'In case anybody has an issue on stage ever and feels embarrassed by it, just watch this video again and it'll remind you that the show can go on even in the midst of sheer utter embarrassment,' she explained. 'You just gotta be real with people. It's all good,' she added.

LeAnn Rimes rushed offstage during concert after her teeth fell out mid-song

The singer's dental bridge became detached whilst she was performing. LeAnn Rimes had to rush offstage during a concert after her teeth fell out as she was performing. The singer was in the middle of singing a song at the Skagit Casino Resort in Washington when her dental bridge became detached. Later, the I Need You star took to social media to own up to the bizarre mishap. ‌ She told her fans in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday: 'Last night I was on stage, in the middle of [singing] One Way Ticket. ‌ 'I feel something pop in my mouth. And if you've been around, you know I've had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.' The pop star, 42, said she 'panicked' before running to the side of the stage to secure her prosthetic teeth and swiftly returned back to the microphone. 'Then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage,' she continued. 'And so, for the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in.' Rimes said she had to push her teeth back in 'every couple lines' while she singing her tunes and noted that it was in that moment she realised her song, Can't Fight the Moonlight, had several Fs, THs, and SHs. 'Like, Can't Fight the Moonlight, [the teeth] completely fell in my mouth,' she recalled. ‌ Fortunately, Rimes laughed off the dental disaster and even called it 'the most epic experience ever.' 'I don't usually have firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last,' she said. Rimes hoped her teeth would stay in for her performance at the same venue later that night. ‌ 'We shall see,' she said before joking, 'The front row, get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them.' Rimes said she decided to take to social media to show fans that she was 'keepin' it real.' 'Like I said, there wasn't a f–king thing I could do about it except either walk off, or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it,' she said. 'The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment. You just gotta be real with people.' ‌ As for the status of her faulty dental bridge, Rimes said 'It's all good.' 'They're in for now,' she said, adding that the mishap was the most 'epic' example of how the show must go on.
