GB's Leaver claims another bronze after Burgess gold
Great Britain's Lois Leaver claimed bronze at the Canoe Slalom World Cup event in Prague on Saturday to add to Adam Burgess' clinched third in the women's kayak final by just 0.1 seconds, despite the 23-year-old Scot picking up a Evy Leibfarth claimed gold ahead of Camille Prigent of France, while Leaver has now won bronze in all three of this year's World Cup events so won the men's C1 silver at this year's opener in Spain at the start of this month and the Olympic silver medallist topped that by clinching gold on short course format made its debut in the Czech Republic, featuring 12 gates rather than the usual 21, and Burgess triumphed after missing out on the final last time out in 32-year-old, who helped GB win the C1 team gold at last month's European Championships, beat Slovenia's Ziga Lin Hocevar while Olympic champion Nicolas Gestin of France claimed is one round left in the World Cup series, which takes place in Tacen, Slovenia, from 29-31 August, before the final is held in Augsburg, Germany, from 4-7 September.

Jess Fox wins women's canoe final at World Cup event in France
Three-time Olympic champion Jess Fox has won gold at the latest leg of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup circuit in Pau, France. Fox claimed victory in the women's canoe final, a week after topping the podium at the World Cup event in La Seu, Spain. The Australian qualified fifth for the final in Pau, but dominated the medal round, despite attracting a time penalty. Fox (107.62) was victorious ahead of Czech Gabriela Satková (110.89) and France's Angèle Hug (111.69). "I didn't expect it would be that good because I had a penalty," Fox said. "But it felt really powerful and I gave it everything. "My arms are pounding right now, but really proud and so happy." Fox, who turned 31 earlier in the week, did not qualify for the women's kayak final. Her main focus this year is the World Championships, which will be held on her home course in Penrith in October. GB's Westley wins canoe slalom gold in Pau
Great Britain's Ryan Westley claimed his first career canoe slalom World Cup gold with victory in the men's C1 in Pau, 31-year-old's run of 97.74s was just enough to hold off France's Yohann Senechault and Spain's Miquel Trave who finished second and third respectively."I saw what those lads were putting down, listened to the commentary and I didn't really think I had it in me so it left me no option to just go for it," Westley said."I crossed the finish line and didn't expect to see green.
