Homeowner breaks down in tears as 'dirty, neglected and unsellable' house receives jaw-dropping transformation after 'the worst two years of her life'
A homeowner broke down in tears after seeing the jaw-dropping transformation of her home on Can't Sell, Must Sell.
During the latest instalment of the Channel 4 show, Stuart, 47, and Scarlette Douglas, 38, were in West Sussex to take on a property that potential buyers weren't interested in.
There, they visited homeowner Tracy, whose unsellable house was not market-ready, and after battling throat cancer twice, she was desperate to start a new chapter in her life.
Her home needed a serious facelift, especially the clashing colour schemes, the front polka-dot appearance, and the broken chest of drawers.
So, it was up to Scarlette and Stuart to use their creative expertise to sell her property and make it market-ready quickly and on a budget.
Tracy listed the home seven months ago and even reduced the price to £330,000 but failed to get any viewings.
She emphasised on the show that her worst fear was 'dying before she could sell the house' and couldn't understand why people weren't viewing it.
Local property enthusiasts who came to view the home said that the outside appearance 'looked like a toadstool' and that the home felt 'musky and dirty' and 'neglected' on the inside.
So, in two days and with a budget of £3,000, Stuart completely transformed Tracy's home and tackled the issues that were putting off potential buyers.
Once Tracy saw the incredible transformation, she was reduced to tears and couldn't thank Stuart and Scarlette enough for their efforts before expressing that she had the worst two years of her life after battling throat cancer.
Fighting back tears, she said: 'I can get on with my next chapter, and that means so much to me.
'I know I am going to sell this, and I can start planning all the things I want to do. And that's such a big thing for me. Thank you so much for everything you've done.'
At the end of the episode, it was revealed that two months later, Tracy was very hopeful about selling her home.
The heartwarming episode comes after presenter Scarlette was put under immense pressure to help a couple transform their home last week after the husband said: 'I don't think we're going to last much longer if we can't sell.'

Episode one featured a couple, Sarah and Alan, and their cluttered two-bedroom cottage, which desperately needed a new makeover.
After being on the market for over a year, the pair asked Stuart and Scarlette for their help.
In that time, the couple had three viewings, but unfortunately, no offers and the duo shared that trying to sell their home had affected their relationship.
Alan said: 'We are arguing more than ever. Personally, I don't think we're going to last much longer if we can't sell it.'
Sarah continued: 'Our dream is to sell the house, and we can buy a nice house perhaps overlooking the sea instead of being here and being miserable because we are, aren't we?'
Thankfully, towards the end of the episode, it was revealed that the cottage had already had two viewings following its transformation.
