Kid Cudi Marries Longtime Partner Lola Abecassis Sartore: ‘Next We Need This Baby'
Congratulations are in order for Kid Cudi and Lola Abecassis Sartore, who announced Friday (July 11) that they are now a married couple. Revealing that they tied the knot during a romantic ceremony in the South of France on June 28, the rapper born Scott Mescudi shared photos on Instagram and wrote, 'Man, I've been waiting for this moment my whole life.' 'I love this woman so so much, and I know she loves me in the same way. Its always a battle sayin 'I love you more' because she always wins that battle haha. My best friend. My ride or die.' In the snaps, Cudi kisses his new wife, poses with mom Elsie Mescudi and cuts into a massive, strawberry-covered cake alongside Sartore. 'Here's to starting a new chapter,' he added in his caption. 'To my baby Lola, we are in for a wonderfully fantastic journey together. Next we need this baby … not joking.' The musician first met the former Louis Vuitton designer — who now serves as head designer at ERL — at a Virgil Abloh fashion show in 2018. After years of dating, Cudi proposed in 2023. According to Vogue, the couple's ceremony took place at Cap Estel in Èze, near where Sartore grew up. The bride wore a gown designed by her close friend, Alain Paul, who also served as her 'bridesman' in the wedding. 'It was bliss,' Sartore told the publication of the big day. 'A moment out of time where the world stopped, and it was just the two of us. We forgot everything around us. It was just us and our love, and it was the purest moment.' Cudi's big life update comes just weeks after he made headlines for a much less cheerful reason: Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial, at which the Trap star testified. While on the stand, he alleged that the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder broke into his Los Angeles home and vandalized his car out of anger over Cudi's past relationship with Cassie Ventura. Combs was ultimately found not guilty of sex-trafficking and racketeering charges, though he will face prison time for a prostitution charge. The mogul has long denied all of the accusations levied against him during the trial. In happier news, Cudi is also gearing up to release his next album, Free, on Aug. 22. So far, he's released two singles from the project: 'Grave' and 'Neverland.' After all, the Indicud rapper tied the knot with his fiancée, menswear designer Lola Abecassis Sartore, during a stunning ceremony in the South of France on June 28. And now, he's reflecting on the romantic event. 'We're on cloud nine in our little bubble of love,' Kid Cudi, 41, told Vogue in an interview published July 11. 'It's so overwhelming to receive so much love in such a short amount of time. You want this feeling to never end. It was really the most perfect, flawless, peaceful day, and we want to do it all over again. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.' Indeed, the wedding had a special nod to their private romance. Lola and Kid Cudi (real name is Scott Mescudi) exchanged their vows in Cap Estel, a gorgeous venue that's located near her hometown in Èze, France. 'We forgot everything around us. It was just us and our love, and it was the purest moment.' And true to her background in fashion, their wedding wouldn't be complete without some high-end couture. While Kid Cudi sported an all-black suit from Saint Laurent, Lola collaborated with 'bridesman' and designer Alain Paul to create her dream gown: a traditional white dress that contained '60 meters' of six different laces in the train. As for their rings, the couple—who met at the late Virgil Abloh's first Louis Vuitton fashion show in 2018—worked with iconic jeweler Ben Baller to design the band, which featured a mix of gold, rose gold and platinum diamonds. Kid Cudi—dad to daughter Vada, 15, with ex Jacqueline Munyasya—also gushed over the wedding on Instagram, sharing several gorgeous photos of him and Lola connecting with their families. Kid Cudi has tied the knot with fiancée Lola Abecassis Sartore during a timeless wedding in the South of France. In photos exclusively shared with Vogue magazine, the "Pursuit of Happiness" hitmaker, born Scott Mescudi, and Sartore's nuptials took place on June 28 at the luxury Cap Estel hotel in Èze, overlooking the ocean. "It was bliss," the menswear designer said. "A moment out of time where the world stopped, and it was just the two of us. We forgot everything around us. It was just us and our love, and it was the purest moment." Abecassis Sartore revealed that the couple also included special touches that paid tribute to Off-White founder Abloh, including a "full circle moment" featuring Badbadnotgood (the band from the night the couple met at the fashion icon's show) playing during cocktail hour and building a bounce castle to pay homage to him. The happy news comes after the rapper took the stand in Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex-crimes trial, leveling allegations that Combs broke into his home and locked his dog in a bathroom – and that his vehicle blew up in another incident – after the embattled mogul found out they both dated Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine. The rapper dated Ventura Fine briefly in 2011. Ventura Fine told the court that when Combs learned of their relationship, he lunged at her with a corkscrew and kicked her in the back. After his testimony ended, Cudi thanked fans and said, "I've been seeing all the love and support. I just wanna say thank you so much, man." "People been hitting me up the past week, just checking in," he added. "And even today. It really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y'all. This is a stressful situation. I'm glad it's behind me. I love y'all, man. Big love. Go stream 'Neverland,'" in reference to his recent single.
