Jessie J Clears The Air On 'Cancer Is Gone' Post In Another Emotional Update

Jessie J's post-cancer surgery manifestation session may have confused some fans. The singer, who has stayed open with her cancer journey, has once again used her social media platform to shed more light on where she is currently at since leaving the operating table. Jessie J shared her early cancer diagnosis with the world back in April alongside an announcement that she would give one last performance in June before her surgery. The "Price Tag" singer returned to Instagram to clarify what she meant by an earlier post in which she discussed the pros and cons of her health journey. She seized the opportunity to clarify that what she meant by "The cancer has all gone" was only a positive manifestation of her recovery and not a fact. This means the singer has yet to receive any official report from her team of doctors. "I don't have my results yet. I added the [fingers-crossed emoji] in thinking people would understand, and clearly a lot didn't. A weird situation. My fault for not being clearer," she reiterated. Jessie explained that she just had her surgery six nights ago and emphasized that treating cancer is not as easy as getting a verdict just a few days after the procedure. She is, however, not losing faith and sight of what she truly desires, which is total recovery from the life-threatening illness. Jessie banked on the strength of her significant other and son as she braved the pain of getting surgical treatment for her breast cancer. Her partner, Chanan Colman, was pictured in one of the clips sharing a deep kiss with the singer as they held hands and almost teared up. As shared by The Blast, the performer asked to see her son on another slide. She recalled playing mental images of her son expressing his love for her, and she reciprocated, all while the doctors got to work. The singer's two-year-old son was quick to put that imagination into action as he laughed happily next to his mother on her hospital bed. The singer even educated her son about how the container attached to the drip inserted into her breast worked. She informed her followers that she would remain transparent about the entire recovery process. In one of the 16 slides, Jessie proved her worth as a true-born talent when she belted out a tune while waiting to be wheeled into the operating room. "I've now been at the hospital for six and a half hours, and I'm still waiting to go down to the theatre," the star expressed in the video. The "The Voice Australia" coach has shown resilience and bravery throughout her battle with the terminal disease. Her performance at the Capital's Summertime Ball just days before her important surgery represented a defining moment in her shining musical career. She emphasized the significance of the performance to her audience in a short speech before flexing her vocals. In her words, "Today, this show, is my last show before I go and beat breast cancer. So, it's so special to me. You have no idea." She expressed her gratitude to her baby daddy, her son, and her family for their support this far, stressing how lucky it feels to be alive. The mother-of-one spoke about some of the challenges she had to overcome in the days of preparing her body and soul for her surgery. As reported by The Blast, Jessie confessed that she experienced one of her low moments earlier in the month. Describing it as her lowest moment yet, the singer explained that between juggling work, her cancer, life, and raising her young son, her mind felt very exhausted. She began to experience bouts of panic attacks, crushing tears, consuming anger, and a series of overwhelming emotions that left her in a terrible mood. The singer soon found a helpful solution to alleviate her pain, and it was her feasting on a corn cob. According to her: "Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instant [sic] mood shift." The singer stressed in a follow-up post that she found it helpful to share her troubles and let them out so she could let the positive energy in. On finally becoming a mother two years after suffering a painful miscarriage in 2021, the singer explained that it represented a happy ending in the story of her life. She explained to PEOPLE how much she adored her kid and her son. "The gratefulness and the joy that I experience every day, waking up knowing he's in my house, and he's alive and well... Until you experience it, it's so hard to really understand," Jessie said. She stressed that the realization of how lucky she was did not really dawn on her until she held her son in her arms for the first time. The singer expressed how special it felt to find the love of her life in her current partner and to make things even more magical by welcoming a son together. Jessie and her beau Colman began dating in 2021 and became first-time parents in 2023. Sending lots of love, energy, and light Jessie J's way!

Lola Young 'in tears' backstage after earpiece mishap at Summertime Ball

At this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball, Lola Young struggled with technical difficulties while performing her hit songs Messy singer Lola Young is said to have been 'in tears' after struggling with technical difficulties while performing on stage for this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball. The 24-year-old singer performed a few songs at the event at Wembley Arena in London this weekend, but her earpiece stopped working while she was on stage. While trying to get the earpiece to work, she told the crowd: "Sorry guys my ears are going in and out. Can I get some new ears?" She tried to continue without the earpiece but couldn't keep in time with the band, so she eventually asked the audience: "Sing along please." ‌ ‌ "It's like they're doing it on purpose," Lola told her fans after a few attempts of performing without hearing anything from her earpiece. After finishing her set, she walked off the stage in frustration. In a video taken by an audience member, Lola could be seen looking distressed from the mishap as she put her face into her hands while a few others stood by her. One person wrapped their arm around her as two others seemingly comforted her. She then slowly walked off to a different corner of the area and leaned her arms on what looked to be a box. The TikTok user captioned the post: "Lola young ran off crying because her ear piece stopped working." Fans also rushed to the comment section to share their support for the star. One user commented: "I really don't see how people can hate on someone for this? It was a sound issue and the crowd loved her still, I feel bad for her but she was one of the best acts!" ‌ Another said: "Bless her," and one concerned fan posted: "If someone doesn't hug that girl." The Mirror have reached out to Lola's reps for comment. Earlier in the show, fans were shown a statement from organisers on the screens. It read: "We have had to pause the show temporarily. Please remain in the stadium. We hope to restart shortly. Thank you." ‌ Fans were quick to go on Twitter and share updates from the venue. One wrote: "Capitals summertime ball is going well #summertimeball," whilst another added: "Whoops #Summertimeball." Capital Breakfast's Jordan North said before the show: "We are absolutely buzzing to be back at Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard this year!" Ashley Tabor-King, Founder & Executive President of Global, added: "We've got a stellar line-up of global superstars and today's biggest hit music artists - all set to light up the stage! "This is truly one of our best ever line-ups and we can't wait to see 80,000 Capital listeners enjoy every moment, it's going to be a day to remember!"

Mariah Carey's diva demands at Summertime Ball before fans leave stadium early

Pop legend Mariah Carey's diva demands at Capital's Summertime Ball include switching up her dressing room before she played her set to an 'empty' Wembley on Sunday Pop legend Mariah Carey's diva demands have been revealed with some interesting requests being made by the notorious diva at Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Mariah was the closing act of the night and appeared to be playing to an 'empty' stadium with some fans leaving early, according to footage on TikTok. Mariah took the stage alongside the hottest artists, including Jade, Benson Boone, Tate McRae, and Will Smith, with a surprise performance from JLS. The 56-year-old confidently took the stage in the UK for the first time in six years and host S ian Welby let slip that Mariah changed her dressing room before her performance to be labelled 'Mimi's World'. ‌ The presenter told The Sun: 'We will do what we're told. When it comes to Mariah, she is the boss. She's changed the whole dressing room to just be called Mimi's World. Doesn't even have Capital branding anymore. It's all her zone'. ‌ Co-host Chris Stark added that Will Smith was the 'most chilled'. He said: 'Will Smith by the way is the most chilled, like he's just wandering around. He was in catering, he just went and sat himself down and got himself some food'. The Mirror have reached out to Mariah Carey's representatives for comment. A video posted online showed Mariah performing to a stadium with gaps in the audience and empty seats, along with the caption: "Mariah Carey playing to a almost empty stadium". Fans were quick to comment and address that the gig was on a Sunday which means public transport stops early and people would need to get home. One person said: "The reality is its a Sunday, and in the UK, last trains (and everything) stops early Sunday. Any act if the last act after 10pm is going to have reduced crowd as folks need to catch that last train home if they didn't drive or don't live locally". Last year, it was reported that the star was being a 'diva' during her Christmas Time Tour as she allegedly would not go on the tour with any 'unattractive dancers', with a source claiming to MailOnline that she was 'being so extra'. ‌ The source said at the time: 'Mariah is just being so extra this year. She is getting paid an insane amount of money. Rehearsals started at the end of September as she wants it to be the grandest tour yet. One of her requests was that her main backup dancers are all "hot" men. She did not want any unattractive dancers.' The source continued: 'She also requested hair and makeup for the rehearsals. Everyone who is directly involved in the production has been asked not to speak to Mariah or take photos with her.' Mariah closed the Summertime Ball and sang some of her greatest and most popular tracks, including 'Touch My Body', 'We Belong Together', and Always Be My Baby'. Fans couldn't get enough of Mariah being back in the UK, with many claiming it was her 'best vocals in years'. One person took to social media and said: 'Mariah at the #SummerTimeBall - best live vocals from her in years…and hit after hit after hit. Bring on Brighton Pride,' while a second added: 'Mariah killed it at the #Summertimeball looking and sounding incredible.'
