Laura Anderson reveals two unexpected Islanders she still speaks to despite feud on show
Laura Anderson rose to fame on Love Island in 2018 and still speaks to a few of her fellow Islanders but it's not who you would expect. While the current dramatic series of Love Island airs, it often gets viewers reminiscing about past seasons of the iconic show which has now been running for ten years. Previous years on the show have been notoriously messy, filled with juicy arguments, meltdowns and shocking backstabbing betrayals. However, there is something about the chaotic antics of Harry Cooksley and the baffling dishonesty of Yasmin Pettet which is so similar to the older seasons of the show. One particular drama filled season came in Love Island 2018. Many memorable stars rose to fame during that year's series including Wes Nelson, Megan Barton-Hanson, Georgia 'I'm Loyal Babe' Steele, Adam Collard and the beloved Dr Alex George. It was also in that same year that Laura Anderson left behind her air hostess job and became a big star in Scotland. Since her stint on the ITV dating show, Laura has remained very much in the spotlight. The Scots star went on to star on Celebs Go Dating where she met her ex-boyfriend and Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy, who she now shares her one-year-old daughter Bonnie with. She also previously had a role on Capital FM as a radio host before she left in February this year. Now 36-years-old and as a mum-of-one, Laura has grown up a lot since her Love Island days, but in a new interview with Closer she has revealed that there are actually still quite a few Islanders she keeps in contact with over seven years on from the show. When asked if she still chats to anyone from her series, she said: "Adam [Collard] and Kaz Crossley are the main ones that I WhatsApp." Her response was surprising given the fact Laura and Kaz did not get on inside the villa. In fact, Kaz even revealed on her stint on spin off show Love Island: All Stars earlier this year that she and the Scots star had three arguments on the show and one of them wasn't even aired. However, by the sounds of it, any feud the pair had between them is now cleared up as they are currently very much close friends Laura went on to say Kaz is keen to meet her daughter as she said: "Kaz wants to come up and see Bonnie". The mum-of-one added that she is also friends with another Islander from a different series. She said: "I speak to Olivia Bowen but she's not from my series". Olivia, who starred on season two of the show in 2016, is the definition of a Love Island legend with a success story. She married fellow Islander, Alex Bowen in 2018, just over two years after meeting him on the show. The couple are now proud parents to their son Abel and are expecting their second child together. Laura, who did not find long term love on the show but is currently loved up with Scots boyfriend Clarke Robertson, added:" I'm friends with everyone when I see them at events."

How to Buy Reneé Rapp Tickets for Her ‘Bite Me' Arena Tour
Reneé Rapp is hitting the road, which means we're in for one hell of a tour in support of her upcoming album, Bite Me. The singer-songwriter will take the stage across 17 cities this fall, kicking things off in Morrison, Colorado, on September 23 and closing in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 29. Syd and Ravyn Lenae are also set to join the 'Pretty Girls' performer on several dates. This marks Reneé's first headlining tour since her Snow Hard Feelings Tour in 2023 and her slew of festival shows in 2024. She recently performed the lead single off her sophomore album, 'Leave Me Alone,' at the 2025 American Music Awards in May and played slots at Capital FM's Summertime Ball and World Pride Music Festival in Washington, DC. Of course, she'll be bringing out all her hits and fan faves like 'Poison Poison,' 'Tummy Hurts,' and 'Not My Fault,' as well as new numbers from Bite Me, which drops on August 1. There's no way we're missing this, so it's time to prepare for pre-sales. Here's how to successfully buy Reneé Rapp tickets. As someone who's seen Reneé live multiple times at this point, believe me when I say this is a show you won't want to miss. I also survived the Great War of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour ticket queue, so I've got you covered with the best tips and tricks to snag tickets. Luckily for us, there are several chances to score a seat for Reneé Rapp's Bite Me Tour. Fans can sign up for pre-sale access at Reneé's official website until Tuesday, June 24 at 11 p.m. PST. As for the pre-sale, it begins at 10 a.m. local time on Thursday, June 26, while the general sale tickets drop on Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. local time. There's nothing worse than being slowed down during a sale, especially when most of them have time limits. Avoid any issues at checkout by adding your most recent contact info and preferred payment method ahead of time. Also, check out your venue's seating chart to know which seats or section you want to aim for! Most sites only allow three tickets per purchase, depending on the artist's demand. We know your group chat is itching to chant during tracks like 'Poison Poison' and 'Pretty Girls,' but it might be best to divide and conquer if you're planning on going in a bigger group. Didn't snag any tickets during the pre-sale or general sale? No prob. Other ticket retailers might have extra seats available for resale. StubHub TicketMaster SeatGeek Vivid Seats GameTime

Woman, 28, Films Final Moments at Concert Before It Takes Terrifying Turn
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman who was filming herself enjoying a Mariah Carey performance at a London music festival unexpectedly lost consciousness and collapsed in front of a large crowd. Francesca Hussain (@lifewithmrshussain), 28, from Hampshire in the U.K., was attending the Capital Summertime Ball on June 15 at Wembley Stadium, London, when the terrifying incident occurred. The annual event, hosted by radio station Capital FM, is one of the U.K.'s biggest pop concerts, featuring a lineup of top-charting artists. A video of her enjoying the concert moments before collapsing garnered almost 5,000 likes and more than 324,700 views. Hussain was watching the final act of the evening—Mariah Carey—when she told her husband that she needed to sit down shortly after 9:30 p.m. Hussain told Newsweek: "It all happened quite fast. I said to my husband that I needed to sit down, so I sat right in front of him. He checked on me and asked if I was OK, and apparently I said, 'No, I need to get out of here.' "He assumed I might have been feeling claustrophobic, so he helped me up—but after taking just two steps, I collapsed right in front of everyone." She added that she hit her head hard when she collapsed and began vomiting shortly afterward. Bystanders rushed to help. Hussain was reportedly placed in the recovery position by two medically trained strangers before a staff member finally arrived, shining a flashlight in her eyes and asking her name. She was then stretchered out as someone called out that she was extremely tachycardic (i.e. she had an abnormally high heart rate). She said she later woke up in the medic room with only fragmented memories of what had happened. Hussain recalled having had a few drinks earlier in the day—one cocktail, one cider, and two vodka lemonades—but said she stopped drinking by 6 p.m. and was taking water afterward due to the heat. She added that it was hotter than in previous years and didn't feel any symptoms beforehand. Hussain said: "I genuinely didn't feel like anything was wrong. I was just enjoying myself, soaking in the atmosphere, and having a great time. It really caught me off guard, and I still can't quite get my head around what happened—it was just so sudden and unexpected." She described feeling confused and drained when she regained consciousness, grateful to the woman who stayed by her side and checked her vitals. Hussain added: "I honestly don't remember much at all, and everything felt a bit surreal. What really stuck with me, though, was how emotional I felt when I realized how many strangers had helped me. It was overwhelming—but in a kind, touching way." Still, she said, the situation was also deeply embarrassing. She kept apologizing to those around her and couldn't fully grasp what had happened. TikTok commenters later helped her piece together more details, revealing that people nearby had stepped in quickly. Hussain said: "The crowd around me was absolutely amazing. I later found out through my TikTok that two people who helped were actually medically trained. They were the ones who placed me into the recovery position—and, honestly, I can't stop thinking about how serious things could have gotten if they hadn't acted so quickly." Adding to her concern was the fact that she struck her head during the fall, something that could have had more serious consequences. Once medics finally arrived, Hussain said they were professional and efficient. She was wheeled through the arena via a path cleared by the crowd—another moment she only learned about afterward. She added: "The medics said it was most likely heat exhaustion, probably brought on by the heat, dehydration, and possibly from standing too long without enough rest. They monitored me, gave me fluids, and made sure I was stable before letting me go." Hussain said that she takes Sertraline, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, which she later learned may increase sensitivity to heat and interfere with the body's ability to regulate temperature—something she believes people should be more aware of. While Hussain is not sure the medication played a direct role, she said she hopes speaking up will help others stay safe. Meanwhile, the reaction on TikTok has been one of support and shared experiences. Some commenters recalled going through similar episodes at other major concerts: "My sister had to get carried over the barrier because she got heat stroke so she and my dad missed the entire show!" said one user, Sophie. "Omggg [oh my God] we were right next to this! Everyone was shining their phone lights and seemed like it took the staff forever to get to you, it was making me so anxious. Everyone did the right thing by you though and even made a long pathway so you could be wheeled out! Hope you've recovered now," posted Georgia. "Was this during Mariah's set? We waved for what felt like forever to get security over to you!!!! I hope you're ok," wrote Charlene. "From above, we saw the flash lights all light up in a help circle around you, seemed to be a long time that they were all signaling for before you got any help. Glad you're OK," added Liss. "This happened to me at Beyoncé. Queued since 12:30 then literally 30 seconds before she came on I got carried over the barriers and taken to the medical center and missed the whole concert," commented Kayleigh. Despite the frightening ordeal, Francesca said she remains deeply thankful to everyone who helped her that night—especially the two medically trained strangers. "Just a huge thank you to everyone who helped me—whether it was in person on the night, or in the comments online afterward. I've been genuinely overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers." Wembley Stadium could not comment on the specific case, but provided some guidance to Newsweek. "We urge all concertgoers to hydrate regularly and to make use of the free water fountains available on all levels of the stadium," the spokesperson said. "Wembley Stadium employs a team of medically trained and experienced health professionals at every major event, including teams specifically pitchside. "The team deal with a multitude of medical incidents, which require immediate attention, often in difficult, crowded spaces," the spokesperson added. "It is common for crowds to help and support fellow concertgoers when they are taken unwell and provide supportive aid until medical support arrives. "On this occasion, the guest was moved away from the crowd and assessed, and we are glad to hear has made a full recovery." Do you have any viral videos or pictures that you want to share? Mariah Carey doesn't believe in time and that includes her birthday
Mariah Carey has fully embraced a timeless divadom. The superstar songstress recently spoke with UK radio station Capital FM and said she doesn't really acknowledge the passage of time. The show's co-hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby asked Carey to clarify what she meant. 'I just don't believe in it,' she said. Stark asked if she meant time zones and Carey clarified, 'No, just time.' That inspired a question from Welby. 'So no clocks?' he asked. 'Just not into that?' 'Yeah,' Carey replied. 'No, just let it go.' Carey has let go clocks, apparently, as well as the concept of marking her birthday. 'I don't have a birthday, no,' she said. 'Anniversaries, yes.' For those of us on Mariah time, Carey has celebrated 56 anniversaries of rotating around the sun. So while calendars are ok for certain dates, without daily time markers in Carey's world, Stark wondered how she handles meetings and appointments with others. 'I would have someone call you and figure it out,' Carey said. To quote one of her songs, it's like that.
