Car Deal of the Day: the stylish Ford Capri is now as cheap as the Explorer
Coupe looks, SUV practicality Good to drive; £2,200 pack for free Just £228 a month It may share little with its original namesake in looks and packaging, but the latest Ford Capri does have one thing in common – and that's aspiration. It sits above its sister car, the Explorers as a more sporting, prestigious model. And yet, right now, you can lease one for the same dough. On the Auto Express Find a Car service, Ford's own dealer group, TrustFord, is offering the Capri for a bonkers £228 a month – that's the cheapest we've ever seen. TrustFord is also offering the Explorer for exactly the same price a month with an identical £2,736 initial payment, so take your choice. Advertisement - Article continues below We'd be tempted to opt for the Capri, though. This deal gets you the entry-level Style with the smaller battery pack, so features such as 19-inch aero alloy wheels, a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a soundbar, LED headlights and intelligent adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, all come as standard. But, get this – TrustFord is also throwing in the Driver Assistance Pack for free, getting you keyless entry with door-handle illumination, a head-up display, a 360-degree parking camera and an electric tailgate, among other features. This would normally cost you £2,200 alone but here's it's zilch. The 52kWh battery pack will give you a claimed 242 miles of range, so around 220 miles in everyday driving is likely. Meanwhile, a 168bhp electric motor powering the rear wheels gives more than enough poke. Handling-wise, the Capri doesn't drive like a two-door sports car, but it is rather good for a large, five-door coupe-SUV, with solid body control and a well controlled ride. The interior is a near carbon-copy of the Explorer's, so it's modern, well laid-out and nicely finished. And despite that sloping roofline, space in the back is very good, while the boot capacity is an impressive 572 litres. The Car Deal of the Day selections we make are taken from our own Auto Express Find A Car deals service, which includes the best current offers from car dealers and leasing companies around the UK. The great Amalfi Coast divide: Videos show tourists crammed onto buses and inching down streets in Italian holiday hotspot... while the rich and famous dodge crowds on superyachts
Record-breaking tourist surges are turning Europe's most popular holiday destinations into overcrowded hotspots - with only the rich and famous able to escape the chaos. Dramatic footage from Italy 's Amalfi Coast shows tourists packed onto sweltering buses, struggling for space to breathe, while others battle through jammed streets, relentless queues, and suffocating crowds. But, while the suffocating crowds have been inescapable for most, a handful of A-listers have managed to dodge the tourist crush by retreating to luxury super-yachts. Photos of celebrities basking in the sun on private boats or partying the night away in exclusive locations stand in stark contrast to the unbearable scenes faced by everyday holiday makers. Earlier this month several famous faces were spotted escaping the packed streets of Capri to join Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez aboard the billionaire's mega-yacht. Now, disappointed sunseekers have taken to social media to warn others not to be fooled by the picture-perfect Instagram posts, revealing a far less glamorous reality. A tourist on a train from Naples to Sorrento filmed a packed carriage and complained the crowding was so 'crazy' she was told 'elbows up' to make more room. @cruising_aimee Naples to Sorrento train this morning. This is probably normal but still it was crazy. #cruiselife #traveltiktok #travelvlog #travelcreator #italy #naples #sorrento #italytrains ♬ original sound - Cruising Aimee 🛳️❤️🤷🏼♀️ Meanwhile, another holidaymaker took a video of seemingly endless queues for transport on the Amalfi coast, with many passengers having to stand shoulder-to-shoulder for the entire journey. It comes as Europe's most famous holiday hotspots are busier than ever - despite anti-tourism protests taking place across the continent. Earlier this month, images showed swarms of holidaymakers packed together and forming huge queues waiting for trains and buses in some of the most beautiful destinations in Italy and Greece. In the Italian village of Varenna - famed for its tiny streets and colourful facades of houses - Brits have complained of crowds so dense they were barely able to reach down to take their phones out of their pockets. Meanwhile, footage from the Greek island of Santorini - adored by influencers for its breathtaking sunsets and views across the Mediterranean - show thousands of people inching along narrow streets with barely enough room to pass each other. It came as Europe struggles to cope with a surge in tourism - with some areas being forced to introduce special measures in an attempt to combat the problem. A holidaymaker in Lake Como, Italy, posted a video warning others what to expect, showing packed coastal pathways and an hour long line for the ferry. The clip is captioned: 'Lake Como in June is so amazing, the views are stunning, but so many people and waiting times.' Another visitor likened the experience to 'the tourist hunger games' alongside a seemingly endless line of people. Meanwhile, a tourist in Portofino, a small coastal town on the Italian Riviera in Liguria, revealed how even areas which are meant to be quiet have been swarmed by holidaymakers. She wrote across a TikTok video of a crowded beach: 'You travelled to a "secret beach" in Portofino, except it definitely isn't secret anymore.' The caption read: 'Expectation vs Reality in Portofino! Literally took one look at the crowds and left.' Another TikToker posted a clip of a busy street in Portofino and simply wrote, 'Watching Portofino get flooded with tourists'. A third posted an image showing the scenic views she expected in the town, before revealing the overcrowded reality. A woman visiting Positano, on Italy's Amalfi Coast, was also left disappointed by her experience. She said: 'Social media lied. I've been dreaming of going to Positano on Italy's Amalfi Coast for years. 'And while it is definitely a very beautiful town, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. 'I was expecting all of the stairs, but I wasn't expecting the magnitude of the crowds and the lineups. 'Positano has become a travel destination where you need to have every moment of your itinerary planned out in advance, and book reservations for pretty much everything. 'Otherwise, it will all be booked up before you even touch down in Italy.' Meanwhile, in Greece, overcrowding is also frustrating sunseekers. One woman revealed how much the island of Santorini has changed since her last visit two years ago, before the tourism surge became so severe. She posted a picture of a packed street, writing, 'Santorini! When we stayed here in 2022, we scoffed at the people who came off the cruise ships. 'This time, we were those people! Santorini in summer is no joke. The heat, the crowds, the lines. No magic this time. Just sweat, nausea and swollen feet. 'Don't be deceived by the smiling faces.' Some areas have introduced special measures in an attempt to crack down on overcrowding. Portofino has banned walking barefoot, picnics and drinking booze on the streets among a swathe of other prohibitions. Tourists risk being fined for carrying out a variety of actions typically enjoyed abroad. From July 15, travellers in Portofino will no longer be able to walk through the town barefoot, in swimwear, or topless - or sit in the piazza in such attire. Consuming alcohol on public streets has also been prohibited, with only restaurants, bars and designated areas left to booze in. Begging, sitting, or lying on the streets, walls, sidewalks and parks has also been banned along with having picnics. The new ordinance, signed by Mayor Matteo Viacava, will take effect during the summer season and temporarily expire on September 30. Anyone who is caught violating the regulations before then will be subject to a fine of between £22 and £433. The goal of the latest crackdown is to protect the 'peace and quiet of residents and tourists' in the exclusive coastal resort which brings in up to 100,000 tourists during peak season - despite the town only having a population of 400.

Summer Vacation Must: Activewear that Stimulates Lymphatic Drainage to Beat Bloat and Boost Energy
Getty Images It's peak summer travel time! Your Instagram feed is no doubt filled with snaps of people in Capri, Ibiza and Paros. And hopefully, a summer getaway is in the cards for you, too. Imagine if the comfy-cute outfit you wore on your transatlantic flight didn't just tick the cozy and chic boxes but worked hard while you shifted into vacation mode? Sounds like a dream scenario, but a high-tech, wearable wellness brand might just make it a reality. I first heard about Elastique's luxurious compression styles while I was in Cannes this spring. It seemed every glam squad pro I ran into during the film festival was either wearing pieces or buzzing about the line. It's no secret that celebrity hairstylists and makeup artists clock almost as many air miles as flight attendants. Then I heard that Gwyneth Paltrow had posted about the brand. And that the entire Chicago Sky WNBA team wears it for post-game recovery. My curiosity was peaked. Creating Wearable Wellness Founded by French entrepreneur Emeline Stout, Elastique activewear is made from high quality compression fabric and strategically lined with beads (the brand calls them 'MicroPerles') to stimulate micro-massage, helping to push vascular and lymphatic fluid upwards. 'It's not a replacement for therapy,' like a deep tissue treatment, Stout says, but 'it's a game changer for those looking to access the benefits of circulation support on a daily basis.' I scooped up a pair of leggings to wear on my trip home from France. Seven hours, one glass of champagne and two movies later, I landed in New York. Amazingly, I really did have an extra spring in my step, even though I'd been perched in a prone position for quite a bit. Le Monde Bra in Java/Ivory/Cappuccino, $175. SHOP NOW Elastique Le Monde Leggings in Java/Ivory/Cappuccino, $265. SHOP NOW A Multitude of Benefits As the weeks rolled on, I wore my Elastique leggings to my Nofar pilates classes and during walks along the Hudson River. And a funny thing happened. The skin on my upper thighs started to look smoother, more even-toned and even a bit brighter. Theoretically, the action of massage leads to firmer, de-puffed, rosier skin — just think of the effects of using a gua sha daily. But there's actual medical evidence, too. Dr. Amanda Kahn, an internist and longevity specialist in New York City, confirms the activewear 'enhances circulation, reduces inflammation and improves cellular detoxification,' all practices, she says, 'tied to healthy aging.' Chic Styles Elastique Riviera Bodysuit in Poppy, $225. SHOP NOW Later in August, I'm headed back across the pond for my summer holiday. As I contemplate packing (I'm team carry on, always!), I know for sure I'll be bringing more than just the Elastique leggings I'll wear on the plane. I'm looking forward to adding a leotard style to my wardrobe, and perhaps the new floaty short, ideal for long walks wherever my travels may take me! topics: wellness, fashion, summer travel, travel style, activewear, lymphatic drainage massage, lymphatic massage, deep tissue massage, Gwyneth Paltrow, chicago sky wnba, WNBA

Jim Cramer explains what's driving the stock of Tapestry
CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday explained what he thinks is driving the stock of Tapestry, a company known for brands like Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. To Cramer, Tapestry has made some savvy business choices after it decided to walk away from an acquisition deal. "In the end, giving up on the Capri Holdings acquisition turned out to be a brilliant move for Tapestry," he said. "Rather than buying a bunch of struggling brands, they made a much better investment in their own stock, sold off the unexciting Stuart Weitzman business, and have turned their core Coach brand into a powerhouse." After the Federal Trade Commission blocked the deal late last year, Tapestry called off plans to acquire apparel peer Capri, which owns brands including Jimmy Choo, Versace and Michael Kors. But shares have climbed since then, and the stock hit a new 52-week high on Monday, up just over 69% year-to-date. Wall Street did not like Tapestry's proposed purchase of Capri, in part because some of Capri's brands are not doing well, Cramer said. Investors were concerned that adding Capri's brands would derail Tapestry's business, especially as its own core brands struggled, he continued. They were also worried Tapestry would overstretch its budget by borrowing billions for the deal, Cramer added. After Tapestry abandoned the deal, it made a few moves Cramer said he liked — it announced it would redeem the deal debt and add to its buyback. The company also said it wouldn't make any more acquisitions until it turned around Kate Spade, which he said is something Wall Street wanted to hear. Tapestry's decision to sell Stuart Weitzman further emphasized the company's plan to focus on Coach and Kate Spade, he continued. Tapestry beat the estimates during its last quarter and raised its guidance, bolstered by growing sales from its Coach handbag arm, which makes up a large part of business. Cramer suggested that Coach is popular because consumers believe the products are high quality and reasonably priced compared to luxury peers. He was also positive on Tapestry's future because management said Coach is popular with Gen Z. Cramer said Tapestry is still managing to beat the estimates even as Kate Spade continues to struggle, so a turnaround for that brand would be "pure upside." There might be an opportunity to buy Tapestry at lower levels after it reports earnings in August, Cramer said, as expectations for the upcoming quarter are high. "Ideally, I want Tapestry to report a good quarter that doesn't quite satisfy the shareholder base, causing a sell-off that allows you to buy this stock at a lower price," Cramer said. "But if you like the story, you've got my blessing to put on a small position before the quarter, because from my perspective, Tapestry's management knows exactly what they're doing, and they're doing it well." Tapestry did not immediately respond to request for comment. Click here to download Jim Cramer's Guide to Investing at no cost to help you build long-term wealth and invest

Kendall Jenner cuts a chic figure in a black jumpsuit and clutches a bottle of wine after enjoying dinner with friends
Kendall Jenner looked chic as she departed Sushi Park restaurant in West Hollywood on Thursday with a bottle of wine in hand after a dinner with her pals. The model, 29, turned heads in a skin-tight black Capri jumpsuit, featuring a round neckline and a sleeveless design. She added inches to her height with a pair of stilettos and toted her essentials in a black shoulder bag. The beauty completed her chic outfit with a silver bracelet and diamond stud earrings. Following dinner, Kendall appeared in high spirits, beaming on the balcony of the restaurant's entrance. Her outing comes after sister Kylie, 27, poked fun at her viral cucumber moment and joked that Kendall's bad cutting technique runs in the family. Back in 2022, during an episode of The Kardashians, the 29-year-old supermodel was seen grabbing a snack from the kitchen. Kendall decided to slice a cucumber to nibble on - but the way she did so was soon mocked by fans on social media. Kendall's cutting technique showed the star placing her left hand on the far end of the snack while her right dominant hand was placed underneath to thinly cut some pieces. On Wednesday, Kylie decided to reminisce on the humorous moment while showing off her son Aire's culinary skills. The Kylie Cosmetics founder took a picture of her son, three, chopping a cucumber and posted the snap to her Instagram stories. The little one could be seen utilising the same technique as his aunt, prompting Kylie to pen, 'runs in the family? @kendalljenner.' Kendall responded to the image by reposting it to her own Instagram stories and wrote, I knew he was mine!!!' The mom-of-two shares son Aire, as well as daughter Stormi, seven, with ex and rapper Travis Scott. However, it is not the first time that Kylie has poked fun at her older sibling's viral attempt to cut a cucumber. Late last year, in November, while promoting a new collection for her Khy clothing brand, the beauty mogul uploaded a clip as she recreated the moment. While donning a black sequin top as well as matching mini shorts, the star was filmed slicing a cucumber the way her sister had done in a past Kardashians episode. Kylie also lip-synced to an audio snippet from the episode, which played in the background of the reel. During the 2022 episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kendall was seen entering the kitchen where she joined her mum, Kris, as she grabbed a quick snack. Her momager offered to have the chef whip something up for her daughter, but the model insisted that she could make something herself. Kris warned her daughter to 'be careful', which prompted the 818 Tequila founder to admit that she was 'scared.' She then lifted her head to glance towards the camera, amidst chopping and jokingly said, 'I am not a good cutter, so don't zoom in on me. I'm not professional whatsoever.' As Kris worriedly watched from across the island, she decided that her daughter most likely needed a bit of assistance. 'Hey, chef!' she called out. 'Do you want to cut this up for her?' But Kendall insisted that she could do it and expressed that she was 'fine.' But the moment soon blew up on social media, with a number of fans offering their thoughts on the reality star's unique cutting skills. Over on X at the time, one penned: 'Kendall Jenner not knowing how to cut a cumber and Kris proceeding to call for the chef is hilarious to me.' Another wrote, 'Anytime you feel like you're bad at doing something, watch Kendall Jenner chop a cucumber,' while a fan added, 'Watching Kendall Jenner try to cut a cucumber was shocking and yet… not surprising they have no life skills.'
