Moore leaves Welsh Netball and Cardiff Dragons role
Sara Moore has ended her tenure as Wales Netball and Cardiff Dragons head of performance after a five-year her time in charge, national team Welsh Feathers, rose to a highest ranking of sixth in the world while Dragons ended the 2025 Netball Super League season at the bottom of the Netball chief executive Sarah Boswell said: "We thank Sara for her work in progressing our performance programme and for her role in delivering two standout moments in Welsh sport – our sixth place world ranking and lifting the Celtic Cup trophy. "We wish her the very best in her future endeavours."The governing body says it will start "the process of reviewing and recruiting for the next stage of performance leadership over the coming months".

Thunder beat Dragons to clinch play-off spot

Loughborough Lightning moved back to the top of the Netball Super League with a convincing win at Cardiff Dragons. The reigning champions led from early in the first quarter and gradually extended their advantage to complete a comfortable 71-54 victory at Utilita Arena. Lightning led 35-28 at half-time and never looked like letting that lead slip in a clinical display that saw them record a 93% shooting success, missing just four shots all game. Goal shooter Samantha Wallace-Joseph top-scored for the visitors with 32 goals, while Dragons' Georgia Rowe had 35 goals in a losing cause.
