I Tested This Viral Antiperspirant Against Humidity

Full disclosure (and perhaps a little TMI): I stopped wearing underarm protection years ago after a string of unpleasant experiences with various anti-perspirant/deodorant brands that left my pits swollen with a rash and still sweaty. I've been apprehensive about dipping my toes back in and since nobody has expressed concerns about me emitting noticeable body odor, I have mostly been keeping things natural in those parts. When I started getting served TikTok ads for a brand with over 22,000 followers attempting to 'shake up' the anti-perspirant industry, my interest piqued. I've used sticks, gels and sprays throughout my life, but Carpe is a lotion that comes with a very specific set of instructions to maximize its effectiveness. My birthday trip to Florida provided the perfect opportunity to put their promise to the test. For two weeks in early June, I used Carpe to combat underarm sweating during a trip to the Florida Keys. Most days the temps reached the low to mid-90s and some of those days saw the humidity hit 100%. As you can imagine, the sweat was plentiful. There was one day of the trip, around three days into wearing the antiperspirant, where it became clear that Carpe was getting the job done. As luck would have it, it was the hottest and most humid day and also the day which required us to spend the most time walking around outside. I was taking a tour of The Turtle Hospital in Marathon (a must-visit if you're in the area) and dripping sweat from head to toe — aside from my pits, where I'd been carefully applying the product as directed. My t-shirt was soaking through all over my torso with one obvious dry spot. It was a little jarring, if I'm being honest. It was like my underarms were caught in the eye of a storm where everything was calm but there's chaos happening all around it. Beyond just sweat prevention, the sport fragrance lasted surprisingly long. Even after a few dips in the pool, I still caught whiffs of the Carpe. Get it from Amazon for $19.95 (available in eight scents).

20 Products That'll Be Great For Your Feet

A bottle of Carpe antiperspirant foot lotion that just might finally get your perpetually sweaty feet dry, saving you from blisters caused by slick skin rubbing inside your shoes. A pair of YogaToes gemstone stretchers made with hypoallergenic medical-grade gel, for folks who have hammer toe, bunions, plantar fasciitis, etc. Try tossing these in the freezer and treating your feet to a soothing, cooling treatment at the end of the day. Ahhh, I can feel the relief just thinking about that. A pair of foot peel masks with over 50,000 5-star reviews(!!) formulated to soften dry, cracked, and aching feet. These are coated in a paraben-free formula of fruit acids. After putting your feet up and relaxing for 60 minutes, you're done! You can expect your hard skin to start shedding in 6–11 days. A pair of cozy Ugg insoles you can throw in an old pair to restore 'em without buying new ones (or use these in a similarly shaped shoe so you can secretly wear slippers wherever you go). An ankle wedge that'll *ahem* rock your world when you need a deep, isolated stretch in your foot and lower leg muscles. Apply light pressure and rock your foot back and forth to increase circulation and keep yourself nimble and (hopefully!) injury-free before a long run or workout, then do the same to assist sore muscles afterward. A pair of copper arch support sleeves that'll save your flat feet from the daily strains, aches, and pains that come from long shifts standing. These are great when out and about, but they're also useful if you live in a shoes-off house and still want support when barefoot. A wearable gel pack wrap designed to soothe your barkin' dogs by combining both cold and compression therapy. A pair of Metatarsal Pads that'll wrap around your toe and provide relief, so you don't have to lift a finger (or a foot) to get pressure point pain to stop. A pair of moisturizing socks formulated with an aloe vera and shea butter gel — if you have large callouses and your poor footies feel all-around dry and scratchy, you can treat your feet to the softer side of life with this spiffy setup! Because these enclose each toe, even your cuticles get the benefits from sleeping in these socks. An anti-fungal polish (with over 36,000 5-star reviews!) for when you think that another day with toes that feel gross will be the final ~nail~ in the coffin. A collapsible foot bath — flat pack this under the bed and pull it out any time your feet want an easy spa day. I was pregnant this time last year, and I would have given anything (at times, even the future child) for an instant foot bath. This thing is great. A Stretch Out Strap you can use for your feet to help stretch out your entire body. Use this during yoga, physical therapy, as a resistance tool, and for Pilates. A fitness accessory that does all that is toe-tally a need, if you ask me. A pair of self-heating soothing foot masks made with Epsom salts, lavender, and peppermint. Go ahead, put your feet up after a long day in your pumps, and give your previously pinched toes the night off! A bunion corrector to help strengthen your big toes and space them appropriately. With this, it isn't too much of a *stretch* to picture your bunions finally being less of a bother! A surprisingly aesthetic silicone foot scrubber — give your bathroom something to brag about with this super useful in-shower foot brush. It's available in bold colors, and it'll help you give those smelly toes the scrub they need without the risk of bending over and slipping in the shower. A cooling foot massager made with a steady base and a removable (and freezable!) roller attachment. This is designed to use both cooling therapy and rounded massage to ease inflammation in the feet. And it looks downright delicious if you ask me. A pack of suede heel grips to help prevent blisters from forming while breaking in new shoes. A pair of acupressure sandals that'll totally hit the spot, if you're into that sorta thing. My husband and I are both runners, and we have been using these shoes off and on for ages. If you're someone who enjoys the feeling of acupressure, I totally recommend getting a pair! Frida Mom Leg + Foot Swell Spray designed in an easy-to-apply spray bottle for pregnant folks who can't even reach their feet, let alone rub them. This product is fragrance-free and safe for all trimesters. It's formulated with vitamin E and squalene to bring a cooling sensation that comforts swollen legs and feet. And finally, a pair of feet for your feet that'll *certainly* come in (ironically) handy when your pedicure is looking less than its best. Toss these on, and no one will be the wiser! I PROMISE. Now stop what you're doing and let your feet know how much you appreciate them. Reviews in this post have been edited for length and clarity.

31 Products To Deal With Annoying Body Issues

A pack of two dark spot corrector soap bars packed with tons of vitamin C and turmeric — aka the ultimate superhero ingredients for potentially brightening and reviving dull skin. Reviewers have had luck using this on both the face and body — but we recommend giving it a patch test first on a small area to see how your skin reacts. All good? Then start sudsing away! A simple but oh-so-effective toe separator that can potentially provide relief for overlapping toes and bunions. Just slip it over your second toe, and the medical-grade gel will help temporarily straighten your big toe and relieve pressure. And yes, they are washable and fit comfortably in most shoes! A Listerine Pocketmist — the ultra-portable gadget that manages to freshen your breath while looking surprisingly sleek. I imagine this is what James Bond would whip out of his pocket before a date. You'll get 140 sprays in one container, which is certainly enough to get rid of morning coffee breath, afternoon tuna breath, and post-dinner garlic breath. A pair of stainless-steel tongue scrapers for anyone who has googled "why does my breath stink so much?! reddit" a few too many times. This has a super convenient dual-handed design, so you can easily reach to the back of your tongue and then pull forward to evict the nastiness that's living there rent-free. A bottle of Fur Oil, which will be your new best friend for soothing your skin after hair removal. It uses tea tree oil to potentially prevent ingrown hairs and jojoba and grape seed oil to help reduce redness and irritation from current razor bumps. Those last two oils mean you can even use it to condition your cuticles, scalp, and to seal split ends. I just looked up "multitalented" in the dictionary, and it just says "see: Fur Oil." A bottle of Happy Nuts Comfort Cream — an aluminum-free lotion-to-powder formula that's designed to keep the ~downstairs area~ dry, comfy, and stank-free. If your... um ...🌎 globes 🌎 are susceptible to chafing in warm weather, you might want to keep a few bottles in stock. Or Carpe's Groin Women's Powder that's not only silky smooth but also provides some wetness protection thanks to the corn starch base. While it's specifically designed to be safe to use on the groin, some reviewers have had success using it in skin folds and other sweaty areas. Oh, and the delightful white jasmine scent is a welcome bonus. Lume's whole body deodorant WITH sweat control — it has the same odor-eliminating goodness of the original formula with added antiperspirant power! Spread it on your pits, skin folds, privates — anywhere that needs extra protection while you galivant around in the summer sun. Pro tip: apply it at night for best results so your skin can properly absorb it. Or a pack of SweatBlock wipes, which might be the most aptly-named product ever; they truly block the sweat. They're super easy to use: dab the wipe on your underarms, let it dry for 3–5 minutes, let it sit overnight, then clean with soap and water in the morning. Once you do that, you'll be protected from excess sweat and odor for up to seven days. Or!!! An aluminum-free Sol De Janeiro Rio Deo deodorant that not only helps prevent odors but is also available in four of SDJ's iconic scents (The "Cheirosa '62" scent is the same as Bum Bum Cream btw!). It's also designed to help soothe skin, and reviewers say it actually holds up all day. A piercing bump solution formulated with jojoba, grape seed, and rose to keep any annoying keloids at bay! It can help shrink bumps and reduce scarring by promoting skin cell turnover and adding an extra dose of moisture. First Aid Beauty's KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub Exfoliant, which has become a holy grail for people dealing with keratosis pilaris and all other bumpy skin-related issues. The mix of chemical and physical exfoliators will slough away dead skin and have you feeling silky smooth in just a few uses. And! A butt acne-clearing lotion with tea tree oil to help prevent breakouts, banish bacteria, and clear folliculitis. It is designed to be gentle on sensitive skin, and some reviewers feel it even helps with keratosis pilaris. Truremedy Naturals Remedy Tea Tree Oil body wash that can help tackle body and foot odor, and may even help clear up rashes thanks to tea tree oil's antibacterial properties. It's also packed with peppermint oil, which is the ultimate perk-you-up-in-the-morning scent when the coffee just isn't cutting it. A pack of the Mighty Patch Pimple Spot Treatment — they're made of a wound-healing gel called hydrocolloid that can drain fluids from any open pimples and cover any that are already on the surface. These patches have racked up over 131,000 rave ratings, with many reviewers saying they're practically undetectable and adhere much better to the skin than other brands. Plus, your derm will be very relieved that you aren't popping it! And a pack of cold sore patches to help speed up the healing process by keeping the area moist and protected. They're made with a no-touch applicator so you can easily adhere it without making contact with the sore, and reviewers say the clear design makes them fairly discreet (you can even apply makeup over it!). A powerful callus remover that's a major upgrade from other harsh formulas you may have tried in the past. Some callus-removing products will make the surrounding skin feel dry and irritated, but this one includes a healthy dose of glycerin to help soften and hydrate. Go ahead and add some highly-rated sandals to your cart while you're at it. A nail renewal formula to reverse any damage done by fungal infections, so it's essentially time travel in a bottle. The formula includes lactic acid, propylene glycol, and urea to help thicken, soothe, and reduce discoloration on your nails. Just apply twice a day for the first week, then once a day until your toes are looking good to go. A bottle of earwax removal drops — it uses fizzy microfoam action to break down all the stubborn wax that's been clogging up your ears for way too long now. Just apply five to 10 drops to your ear, keep your head tilted for several minutes to let the carbamide peroxide loosen your hardened ear wax, then flush away any remaining wax with warm water in a bulb or syringe. And an ear-washing bottle to help clear out the impacted wax that's causing you to say "huh?!" every time someone speaks to you. Just fill the bottle with an ear cleaning solution of your choice (some reviewers suggest a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide), insert the cleaning tip into your ear, and then give the bottle a few spritzes to help loosen up all the gunk. You'll be hearing in 4K in no time. An all-over anti-chafe balm for anyone who is not actually about that hike life but still lets their super-active friends convince them to tag along. You can swipe this on your thighs, ankles, feet, neck, armpits, or anywhere else that needs some extra protection from the friction that's threatening to ruin your serene afternoon. Seamless bra liners you'll wonder how you ever got by without. Simply place them in your bra and let the moisture-wicking fabric do its magic while keeping you extra comfy. A wildly popular anti-dandruff shampoo — it uses ketoconazole to help fight dandruff and relieve itchy scalps. Several of the 77,000 rave reviews mention seeing a reduction in scalp flakiness when consistently used at least twice a week. Compound W One Step Pads designed to remove plantar warts with ease, and also have reviewer photos that will inspire and traumatize you in equal measure. The medicated pads are packed with salicylic acid to help break down the wart, and you can replace them every 48 hours for best results for up to 12 weeks. A pack of hypoallergenic body wipes for the days when you need to skip the shower and take the lazy route instead. We've all been there. These are infused with aloe so your skin will feel refreshed, clean, and silky smooth! CeraVe's Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser so you can banish the acne that's popping up like daisies all over your body now that warmer weather is finally here. Reviewers have had luck using it on face and body acne, with many saying it reduces rough skin, bumps, and pimples with consistent use. A pack of thin and discreet incontinence pads to provide some absorbent protection on the days when your bladder has a mind of its own. It's made with ~FreshSense~ fabric to lock in any odors and keep wetness from leaking through. A deodorizer shoe spray made with peppermint and eucalyptus oils that's safe enough to spray directly on your feet so you can tackle those odors from the source. It's designed to dry super quickly, so you can spray it and put your shoes on right away. A saline nasal gel to help avoid any discomfort caused by the dust mites and pollen that are ignoring the "do not enter" sign and trespassing in your nostrils. The aloe will help keep your nasal passages from getting dry and crusty, and it can also reduce irritation caused by chronic sinusitis that might flare up due to all the *flings hands around wildly* in the air. A tonsil stone-removing kit that's impressed more than 6,800 Amazon reviewers so far. If you're dealing with constant bad breath, strange tastes, or even pain, it might be time to check for tonsil stones. Thanks to the built-in LED light, this tool makes it super simple — all you have to do is loosen the stone by spraying water with the syringe, use the lighted tool to remove the stone, and then rinse the hole with the syringe.

If You Hate The Sight Of Feet, Skip These 32 Products

Medicated, waterproof bandages to help protect your warts while also helping exfoliate them from your skin if freezing hasn't been giving you the results you want. Over 39,000 customers have rated these 5 stars for their jaw-dropping results (some after just one application)! A bottle of Carpe antiperspirant foot lotion for anyone whose feet seem to sweat, no matter the weather or footwear (how can I sweat in sandals?!). This helps to save your toes from blisters, keep your feet fresh and dry, and even prevent them from getting stinky so quickly! A pair of chunky sneakers specifically designed with innovative support to help people with knee pain prevent further stress on their joints and feet. A roomy toe, flexible material, shock-absorbent sole, and front rolling design (which creates a rocking effect to reduce pressure) make sure you stay comfortable no matter what you've got planned for the day! An ankle wedge to deliver a deeeeeep stretch in your foot and lower leg muscles simply by applying light pressure and rocking your foot back and forth. Get ready to ease on down the road in comfort! Foot exfoliating peel masks that must be magic, considering the way dead skin flakes off after one application, eventually leaving you with feet softer than when you were born, TBH. Is the peeling-skin process gross? Definitely. It's basically black magic, but over 35,000 5-star ratings prove it's worth it. Orrrr a pair of self-heating soothing foot masks, which use Epsom salts and essential oils, so you can literally kick your feet up and relax while your feet enjoy a soothing and moisturizing treatment after a long day. A natural-stone rock mat that'll deliver an incredible pressure-based foot massage as you simply step on it. You'll feel as if you're wading through a river by a quiet meadow whenever you traverse this floor mat. A pack of suede heel grips to place in the backs of your shoes for extra comfort, blister prevention, and even helping those sky-high platforms fit snugly over your narrow heels. Those brand-new pumps in your closet? Insert a pair of these, because it's time to break them in. A fungal nail renewal formula and an electric file if the appearance of your nails lately has been giving you the ick. The reviewer-loved multipurpose formula helps restore damaged nails to a smoother, healthier appearance by reducing discoloration, strengthening your nails, and even delivering much-needed hydration! It's time to take your toes out of hibernation and get them ready for sandals-and-slides season. Frida Mom leg and foot swelling spray, designed with pregnant people in mind — it boasts a fragrance-free formula with vitamin E and squalene to deliver a cooling sensation to swollen legs and feet. And if you're a trimester or two into your pregnancy? The spray is so easy to use, it's no problem if you aren't able to reach your feet! A professional-grade callus-removing gel that's earned 41,000 5-star reviews (and counting) because it effortlessly removes cracked and dead skin in just a few steps! Not to mention, you have an excuse to draw yourself a fancy foot bath and enjoy a little TLC. *OR* a vegan urea foot cream, which helps restore and hydrate calloused and dry feet with a blend of aloe vera, safflower seed oil, chamomile, and tea tree oil. Summer is almost upon us, so time to get those toes looking sandal-ready! A pair of lace-up sneakers so you can avoid wearing down and ruining the heels of your shoes. These are designed with patented technology that allows you to literally slip your foot inside, and the heel will snap back in place, no assistance necessary! A cooling foot massager to help relieve foot pain and improve circulation with a removable roller attachment (you can pop it in the freezer for cooling) and a steady base. You could literally massage your feet while watching TV or working from home, and your tarsals will be oh, so grateful for it. An orthotic insole insert so you can transform your favorite shoes — specifically sneakers, walking or running shoes, boots, and maybe even a pair of flats with removable insoles — into a comfortable oasis for your ~sole~, thanks to a deep, stabilizing heel cup, shock-absorbing materials, and built-in arch support. Plus, cozy Ugg insoles just perfect for restoring your current pair's footbed, even after years of walking around in them sockless. You can also use them in pretty much any shoe with a similar shape, transforming them into slippers! Birkenstock slides — these timeless beauties boast a contoured footbed that offers extra arch support so you can rock a sandal all day long in superior comfort. Seriously, if you're headed to a fair or festival, these are the shoes to pack. A pair of moisturizing socks created with a blend of aloe vera and shea butter gel to give your callused, dry, itchy feet a salon-quality treatment whenever. Plus, the design targets each toe, making sure no cuticle is left unmoisturized. A pair of acupressure slides because who needs a mat when you could massage your feet while doing tasks around the house?! If you love the feeling of acupressure and you're sick of your feet always barking at the end of the day, these slides will offer some relief, and all you have to do is wear them. A wearable gel pack wrap, which uses cold and compression therapy to help soothe aching feet after a long day of standing, walking, running, or hiking! A portable silicone foot scrubber because your feet deserve some TLC, and letting the soapy water run down them isn't cutting it. Add this to your tub and get to scrubbing all the dirt and dead skin off your feet without having to even bend over. It can also be used for foot massages! A pair of Teva sandals for you to stay comfortable all spring and summer thanks a supportive footbed and nylon shank designed to keep your feet stabilized, even on the rockiest of paths! Plus, the fully-adjustable, water-friendly straps are quick-drying, so if you end up having to wade through a creek on a midday hike, you won't feel waterlogged hours later. NGL, I own two pairs of these and can't wait until I'm back to wearing them full-time all summer. A foot file, which requires a little elbow grease to tackle those crusted and calloused feet once and for all (or at least regularly). You can skip the costly pedis and make a spa day out of it from the comfort of your home! Or a waterproof electric foot file that requires much less elbow grease than a regular pumice stone or foot file but still does a great job removing all those layers of dead, cracked, and dry skin — all at the push of a button. Sandal season, here we come! Or this travel-friendly foot file created with etched glass to help restore your aching feet to their just-left-the-womb baby softness. Seriously, I own one of these foot files, and it might be my favorite pieces of pedicure equipment: It expertly smooths, buffs, and removes dead skin with barely any effort, and you can rinse it off afterward! An electric foot massager that features kneading, compression, and vibration technology to deliver spalike quality massages, and there's a soothing heating element up to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks to the remote control, you can personalize your favorite features to enjoy them solo or together. Just sit back and relax after working hard all day — or, if you work from home, enjoy it while in your next Zoom meeting that definitely could have been an email. A deodorizer shoe spray designed to eliminate and prevent odors with a blend of essential oils so you don't have to worry about offending the household or locker room when you take off your gym shoes. It's even safe enough to spray directly on your feet! A pair of slip-on sneakers that are a pretty big deal with their inclusive sizing, which offers quarter sizes! If your struggle has always been finding a comfortable shoe with the perfect fit, you might as well call us Prince Charming, because we've found the shoe for you. Gold Bond medicated foot powder, which boasts a talc-free, triple-action formula to help control odor, prevent itchiness, and absorb moisture — helping cut down on your chances of ending up with athlete's foot just because you decided to wear tennis shoes without socks! An itty-bitty toenail brace set so you can help reverse painful ingrown nails in no time with barely any effort at all. Just apply the strip to your toenail, and it'll straighten out the sides to help eliminate any pressure. Turns out, those boots were made for walking — you just had an irritating ingrown toenail. An antifungal tea tree balm that'll help you tend to bothersome itchiness, such as jock itch or athlete's foot and, of course, very, very dry skin. The extra-strength, plant-based formula helps keep your skin protected as it works its magical-seeming relief. Dr. Scholl's slide-on sneakers, which look cool but offer even better support, thanks to a cushioned insole and built-in arch support. And if you've always wanted to take your sustainability to the next level — these shoes are created with materials made from recycled plastic!
