A former Top 100 recruit, Poe is fairly new to Alabama as the offensive lineman has been in Tuscaloosa for only one season, and is also likely unfamiliar to some as he did not play much a year ago.

Poe is entering his second season of college football at Alabama coming off a true freshman campaign in which he did not see much action with the Crimson Tide. Entering the 2025 season, Poe has only two career appearances at Alabama, both of which came as a backup.

Poe came to Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide's 2024 recruiting class where he was considered as the nation's No. 76 overall player that cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings. A four-star prospect who committed to Alabama back in July of 2023, Poe was also considered as the No. 2 overall interior offensive lineman in the class, as well as the No. 12 player in the state of Texas where he attended Lindale High School.

Entering year two at Alabama, Poe is yet another one of the Crimson Tide's intriguing young offensive lineman to keep an eye on approaching the fall.
A former Top 100 recruit, Poe is among the list of names that could potentially takeover in a starting spot for some of Alabama's offseason departures, but will likely enter fall camp not among the favorites in that conversation. However, that does not necessarily mean that Poe should be counted out in the conversation either, as the former four-star prospect is certainly a name to know regardless.
Overall, Poe will likely spent his redshirt freshman season as a backup, but if he is thrust into action, don't be surprised if the former four-star has a breakout campaign.
