Avika Gor Refuses To Comment On Sasural Simar Ka Co-Star Dipika Kakar's Health After Stage 2 Liver Cancer Surgery
New Delhi: Avika Gor, who co-starred with Dipika Kakar in the primetime show Sasural Simar Ka, has refused to comment on her health after she underwent Stage 2 liver cancer surgery. What's Happening Avika Gor will participate in a reality show titled Pati Patni Aur Panga along with fiance Milind Chandwani. At the launch of the show, she was asked if her Sasural Simar Ka co-star Dipika was aware of her new venture. She responded that Dipika knew about it. When asked to comment on Dipika's recent surgery after she was being diagnosed with Stage 2 liver cancer, Avika refused to comment. "I think they are very vocal and giving updates constantly on their vlogs, toh main bhi ek proper follower ki tarah dekhti hoon aur of course of course, we kind of text and call beech beech mein and get updates," she said. Avika stated that Dipika is the right person to share updates on her health. "About her health, I would like her to give updates so we will see in the vlogs," said Avika. The TV show featured Dipika's husband Shoaib Ibrahim, who played the role of Prem Bharadwaj on the show, while Dipika and Avika essayed roles of Simar and Roli. Dipika's Cancer Diagnosis And Surgery Last month, Deepika had a 14-hour-long surgery for her stage 2 liver cancer. In a long post, Dipika announced that she had been discharged from the hospital after 11 days. She said, "11 Days of being here and now home. Free from the tumour, but this is one part of the treatment done. Remaining will follow in the coming time and mujhe yakeen hai I will sail through that too as I said before. Dipika Kakar On Changes After Surgery: ‘Doctor Advised Me To Keep Moving My Body'

Last month, she underwent a major surgery to remove a malignant liver tumour but is now back home, recovering well and spending time with her family. Not forgetting her fans though, she makes it a point to interact with them via Instagram and YouTube. Last evening, Dipika went live, talking about how things have changed after the surgery. Further, she also opened up about her recovery journey. Dipika noted that she has not been able to make any vlogs due to physical challenges. She said, 'Main joh ek jagah tikk ke baith nahi paati thi, yahan wahan ghoomte rehna, kuch na kuch khurafat karte rehte and suddenly I've nothing to do. Of course, the doctor has advised me to keep moving my body. But there are days when I feel I just need to rest and do nothing." The Sasural Simar Ka actress further reflected on her health, saying, 'By God's grace, my stitches are healing well." Dipika continued to talk about the treatment she will be beginning next week. 'There is something as Target therapy which I'll start from next week. During oral Target therapy, I'll have to take a tablet." Dipika had more to say during the live interaction with fans. Shoaib Ibrahim Shares Update About Dipika Kakar's Health Meanwhile, a few days ago, Dipika's husband Shaoib Ibrahim said that Dipika's liver tumour was aggressive and posed a higher risk of recurrence. To aid in her recovery, Dipika has been advised to avoid weight training and yoga, which involve stretching. She has also been asked to steer clear of oily and fatty foods, with a preference for home-cooked meals over outside food. Shoaib then shared a crucial update about their initial expectations versus the reality. 'We thought that after surgery, the treatment would be done," he said. 'But there's a long way to go." Fortunately, current scans show no cancer cells in Dipika's body. However, the biopsy report revealed that the tumour was more serious than initially thought. 'It was a stage 3 tumour, and medically speaking, it was poorly differentiated," Shoaib explained. 'It was quite aggressive and has a higher risk of recurrence," he revealed. Dipika Kakar's MasterChef Stint Professionally, Dipika was last seen on the first season of Celebrity MasterChef India. This was her comeback to television after a gap of five years. However, she had to voluntarily exit the show due to her health crisis.
