Craig Gordon and Summer Harl's relationship from Celtic colleagues to blended family

The couple, who met at Celtic Football Club, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last week. Craig Gordon and his fiancee Summer Harl tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last week after being together for eight years. ‌ Yesterday, former Celtic TV presenter Summer shared the news that she and the Hearts goalkeeper had got married surrounded by their friends and family. ‌ She wrote: "Mr & Mrs Gordon. 17.07.25. We did it!" ‌ The couple share two young sons together, Ace and Axel, and also two daughters from Craig's previous marriage. Let's take a look back at their relationship timeline after they met while both working for Celtic Football Club... ‌ Meeting at Celtic Craig and Summer initially met when they both worked at Celtic TV. Craig was the club's goalkeeper and Summer was the main host of Celtic TV. They didn't start dating until after Summer departed her role. When the now dad-of-four left the club, Summer paid tribute to him on Instagram and shared a sweet snap of them both in the Celtic TV studio. She penned: "Hard to put six years into a caption, especially after you did it so eloquently. ‌ "But I'm so proud of all you have achieved. You arrived as someone who had just spent two years out, unsure of how things would go. You leave with some incredible memories and as the most decorated goalkeeper the club has had. "It's been amazing to watch you do this. From the Celtic TV studio, from the stands, and from our home. Thank you for letting me be part of this story. An Invincible, and a great pro... it's been quite the comeback CG. Here's to you, and to what awaits... we love you." Blended family Before Craig and Summer got together, he and his ex-wife Jennifer welcomed two daughters, Emma and Freya. ‌ After they split and Craig met Summer, she took on the role of stepmother to the two girls, and she has regularly shared updates about their life as a blended family on her social media profiles. Summer has an incredible relationship with the girls and is often seen on Instagram taking them to concerts and other outings. Speaking about Mother's Day previously, Summer said: "We all know you don't need to be a mother to really be a mother. Sometimes we give too much credit to biology. Parenthood requires love, not DNA. There are the most incredible people leading, inspiring, nurturing, and mothering in all kinds of ways. ‌ "Teachers, carers, friends, nurses, step-parents, godparents, doctors and fathers going it alone - they all mother us. And so on this Mother's Day, if you're one of those people - celebrate yourself for offering a little slice of mothering to whoever is in your life!" Before they welcomed their sons, Summer told her followers that the couple had been trying for a baby for 'quite some time'. In a blog post she answered a question asking if the pair were planning on having kids together, and she revealed she suffered from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) so had faced some challenges. ‌ Summer said: "Yes absolutely, We would love to grow our family. We have been trying for quite a long time. I have PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) so we have been working our way through that for almost a year. It's really tough, but something that will work out one day." In April 2021, Craig and Summer welcomed their son Ace and in April the following year they announced that they were expecting another child. Axel Ever Gordon was born in September 2022. ‌ The blended family of six are often spotted on Summer's Instagram enjoying family trips, holidays and days out. Intimate wedding In January 2023, Summer revealed that the pair had gotten engaged in a sweet post. Sharing a video with the caption 'Mrs Gordon to be', the clips shows the couple's two sons and Craig's daughters slowly removing their hands one-by-one to reveal a beautiful sparking oval shaped halo ring. ‌ The couple got engaged in secret in December 2022 just days before Craig suffered a horrific injury after breaking both his legs. In the post, Summer wrote: "Just over a month ago, all these hands - big and small, had a hand in the BEST moment. 21.12.22. "A lot has happened since, and almost immediately after, so we decided to hold off celebrating for a bit, but sharing this (happier) news with family and friends has been so lovely. YES x 1,000,000. ‌ "Mrs Gordon to be! X" And just last night, Summer announced that they tied the knot surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The bride wore a gorgeous short blazer style dress, whilst groom Craig wore a smart black tuxedo. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Loving homage to a Scots football great means his memory will live on

King's Theatre, Glasgow Neil Cooper Four stars The football season may theoretically be over for the summer, but as diehard fans know in their bones, it never really ends. With this in mind, this latest and apparently final run of Davie Carswell's loving homage to one of Celtic Football Club's greatest heroes, whose life was so cruelly cut short by skin cancer in 2008 aged just 51, could probably be seen as either a pre season warm-up. And what a match Carswell and director Adam Felix O'Brien have knitted together. Burns is brought to life by way of a series of dramatised anecdotes that make up the story of a man who came up from Glasgow's Calton district to become a top-flight player and manager of the team that was already in his blood. As the play makes clear too, Burns never forgot his own description of himself as 'a supporter who got lucky.' Football may be at the play's centre, but Carswell's script focuses on the man beyond, be it as husband, father, devout Catholic and, in the eyes of many, a real life saviour. Standing forever beside the love of his life Rosemary, we see Burns as hopeless at housework as he is nimble on the dancefloor. He moves from living room to chapel with an easy humour and a common touch that translated readily to the millions of fans who put their faith in him, knowing he was one of them. Read more As embodied by Liam Harkins, Burns here is possessed with heroism and humility, kept on an even keel by Rosemary, played with just as much heart by Sarah-Louise Greer. James McAnerney, Ruairidh Forde and Tom Carter double up as assorted interviewers, priests and a green clad chorus who mark the passing of time with comic banter. With Burns' son Michael as executive producer on the show, both he, his siblings and their now sadly late mother are shown interviewed on film. The result is as much family album as theatre in a show that brings the audience together to pay tribute to their hero in an act of mutual devotion that ensures his memory will live forever.

One of the club's greatest ever servants was laid to rest on Friday as fans lined the streets to bid an emotional farewell Celtic heroes past and present joined some of football's biggest names to pay their final respects to Lisbon Lion John Clark. The Hoops icon - who dedicated 50 years of his life to the club as a player, coach, assistant manager and kitman - passed away last month at the age of 84. His funeral mass took place at St Mary's Church in Calton - the spiritual home where Celtic Football Club was born. Hundreds of mourners, including Rangers chief executive James Bisgrove and Premier League legends Roy Keane and Ian Wright, gathered to honour the quiet man who became a giant of the Scottish game. Fittingly, Portugal flags adorned the east end church in tribute to Clark and Celtic 's greatest ever triumph - the 1967 European Cup Final in Lisbon.
