Ibb: Handover of three water projects in Badan District to Administrative Bodies for Operation
Ibb - Saba: The Rural Water Projects Authority branch in Ibb province, in collaboration with the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, handed over three water projects in Badan District to administrative bodies for operation. The projects included the rehabilitation and implementation of three solar-powered systems, at a cost of 41 million Yemeni riyals, funded by the Central Emergency Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development. During the handover, Majid Al-Shami, Director of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch in the province, emphasized that water projects are a priority for the province's leadership, in line with the national vision and the authority's phased plan to provide drinking water to rural areas suffering from water scarcity and the lack of surface and groundwater wells. He noted that the implementation of these service projects aims to improve water provision and alleviate citizens' hardships, highlighting that rehabilitating water projects and equipping them with solar energy systems seeks to eliminate the need for purchasing fuel, whose prices have surged due to aggression and blockade. Al-Shami affirmed the continued efforts to implement rural water projects, praising the role of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development in funding water projects that serve over 13,000 people in the targeted areas. Governor of Ibb Launches Work on Dhi Ashra' Road Project in Al-Radmah District
Ibb - Saba: The Governor of Ibb, Abdulwahed Salah, inaugurated today the construction of the road linking the Al-Radmah-Dhamt line to the village of Dhi Ashra'. The 3-kilometer-long, 6-meter-wide project includes stone paving and the construction of a culvert for flood drainage, at a cost of 120 million Yemeni riyals, funded by local residents with support from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in the form of cement. During the inauguration, Governor Salah explained that the project represents a vital step in improving infrastructure in this rugged area and facilitating transportation for the benefit of citizens. He stressed the importance of adhering to technical and engineering specifications during implementation in accordance with the highest standards to ensure the road's safety and quality, contributing to sustainable development. He emphasized that this project is the result of community solidarity and reflects a genuine commitment to a better future. Progress inspected on al-Hasi Water Barrier Project in Mahweet
Mahweet - Saba: Engineer Mukhtar al-Turki, representing the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Mahweet province on Monday inspected the ongoing construction of al-Hasi Water Barrier Project in al-Khabt district. The project, with a storage capacity of 22,948 cubic meters and a cost of 156.85 million Y.R, is expected to benefit over 1,800 people. During the inspection, Engineer al-Turki highlighted the Central Interventions Unit's support for such projects as crucial for expanding rural water infrastructure and raising community awareness of its importance for improved living conditions and sustainable development. He stated the visit aligns with directives to review project progress and promote grain cultivation for self-sufficiency, in accordance with the directives of the "Leader of the Revolution" and the Supreme Political Council. Ali Qatina, director of al-Khabt district emphasized that these strategic barrier projects are a long-awaited dream for residents, expected to capture significant seasonal rainwater for agricultural irrigation and recharging groundwater and drinking water wells. He added that the water barriers will help alleviate the water crisis and provide sustainable water sources for villagers and farmers by effectively collecting and utilizing rainwater. Ribat water project in Dhi Na'im district introduced to beneficiaries
Baydha - Saba: The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local and Rural Administration and Development and the General Authority for Rural Water Projects branch in Baydha Governorate handed over the Rabat Water Project in Dhi Na'im District to the beneficiaries. The project included the supply and installation of a solar-powered pumping unit and pipes of various diameters, and the construction of a concrete tank at a cost of 61 million riyals, funded by the Central Interventions Unit. During the handover, attended by the Director of the District, Murad Al-Riyami, the Director of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch in Baydha, Engineer Hassan Al-Kahali, emphasized the Interventions Unit's commitment to supporting water projects in the governorate. It has funded many projects in the most deprived areas, including this project, with the aim of providing drinking water to residents of the area, which suffers from a shortage of drinking water supplies. For their part, Mohammed Nashwan, the representative of the Central Interventions Unit in Dhamar and Baydha Governorates, and Engineer Najmuddin Faisal, the Director of the Water and Energy Department at the unit, emphasized that the unit's leadership prioritizes projects that serve deprived areas. They explained that the project will provide drinking water to more than 5,640 people in the beneficiary area at a low cost, as the solar-powered pumping unit will be an alternative to diesel, thus reducing the burden on citizens. The handover ceremony was attended by the Director of Evaluation at the Rural Water Authority, Engineer Mohammed Muqbil, the Deputy Director of the Supervision Department at the Authority, Engineer Nabil Al-Mikhlafi, and representatives of the beneficiaries.
