Fans Predict Heartbroken Lily Finds Love and Comfort with This Y&R Hunk

Heartache has once again hit Lily on The Young and the Restless. Her beau Damian was killed during their trip to France. Lily is grief-stricken now, but she'll eventually find love again, and fans think it'll be with this man. Taking a Chance on Love Lily's (Christel Khalil) life has been turned upside down since arriving in France. She was stunned to discover Aristotle Dumas was her ex-husband, Cane (Billy Flynn). Cane made it clear he still loves Lily, but she put the kibosh on a reunion. Lily was ready to move on with Damian (Jermaine Rivers) until tragedy struck. Damian was killed by a knife to the back, launching a murder mystery. As Chance (Conner Floyd) begins his investigation, Lily is someone who'll provide assistance. Lily is certain Cane is responsible for Damian's death and wants him to pay. Right now, romance is the last thing on Lily's mind. However, that could change with her and Chance working on the case. On X, fans believe that Lily and Chance have potential as a couple. 'Chance and Lily have a little spark? Right?' asked one user. Another fan was on board with the idea. 'Lily and Chance would be an interesting pairing. But probably won't be happening since he's leaving.' Although a Lane reunion is being foreshadowed, Lily moving on to someone like Chance would be refreshing. Chance has been single for a while and needs a love interest. Having him date Lily would bring some family awkwardness. Lily's brother Devon (Bryton James) is married to Chance's ex-wife, Abby (Melissa Ordway), so Dabby will probably feel uncomfortable with the relationship. Plus, let's not forget Cane, who'll be upset with the romance. He enlisted the detective to protect him, but Chance stealing Lily will create tension between the two men. Got a juicy soap forecast? The Young and the Restless recap for July 28 reveals escalating tension and life-altering moments for many in Genoa City. From a deadly showdown between Chance and Carter to Lily's heartbreaking news about Damian, the drama was at an all-time high. Meanwhile, Cane is forced to reckon with the aftermath of his actions as Billy makes moves to protect his interests. A Deadly Showdown and a Heart-Stopping Moment The situation took a tragic turn when Carter (Vincent Stalba), desperate and on edge, grabbed Lily (Christel Khalil) at gunpoint. His motives were revealed as he accused Cane (Billy Flynn) of abandoning him, despite his years of loyalty. A confrontation between the two men escalated quickly, with Carter threatening to kill anyone who stood in his way. Chance (Conner Floyd) arrived just in time to intervene, but things quickly spiraled out of control. In a flash of violence, the gun went off, and Chance was fatally shot. A heart-wrenching moment for everyone present, as Chance's life came to a tragic end. As the dust settled, the true cost of Cane's involvement in this mess became painfully clear: a life lost and a legacy tarnished. MORE: Find out what happens next on Y&R. Carter's Deadly Escape and a Family Shattered As Chance bled out, Carter fled the scene, only to end up dead moments later, having taken his own life. The events that followed were a blur of confusion and disbelief as Cane, Billy (Jason Thompson), and others tried to process what had just happened. Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) were both horrified by the events that had unfolded, and Jack couldn't help but blame Cane for the chaos that had led to Chance's death. Despite the pain of losing someone close to them, Cane remained firm in his decision not to give up on Lily. He begged her for forgiveness for his role in the tragic events and tried to convince her that he hadn't changed. But Lily, heartbroken and disillusioned, walked away, leaving Cane with the burden of his actions. READ MORE: Find out what else happens on Y&R this week. Billy's Investment in Abbott Communications and the Future of Genoa City As Cane tried to make sense of the wreckage of his life, Billy approached him with an offer. In the midst of tragedy, Billy remained laser-focused on his goals, asking Cane to reconsider his investment in Abbott Communications. Despite the horrors that had unfolded, Billy couldn't pass up the opportunity to leverage his relationship with Cane for financial gain. Billy's cold calculation didn't sit well with everyone, especially Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), who had witnessed the events unfold. But Billy remained resolute, determined to push forward with his plans for Chancellor, regardless of the carnage around him. Lily's Heartbreak and Cane's Fate In the midst of the chaos, Lily, reeling from the loss of Damian and the turn her relationship with Cane had taken, apologized for ever accusing him of murder. But her apology wasn't enough to bridge the gap that had formed between them. Cane's emotional plea fell on deaf ears as Lily made it clear that she couldn't continue on this path with him. Later, Billy and Phyllis had a brief conversation about the devastation surrounding them, with Billy determined to keep his eyes on the prize—Chancellor. But for now, it seemed like all the emotional fallout had yet to settle, and the full consequences of Cane's actions were yet to be seen. Nikki's Fear for Her Son Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was frantic with worry for Nick (Joshua Morrow), who had been injured in the chaos. Despite his assurances that he was fine, she couldn't stop fretting over his well-being. Her maternal instincts kicked in as she did everything in her power to ensure that Nick was okay. When Nick's phone service returned, Victor (Eric Braeden) immediately reached out to Adam (Mark Grossman) to arrange a helicopter to get Nick the medical help he needed. As the helicopter flew in, it seemed like a glimmer of hope in a day filled with tragedy. Nick, however, still insisted it was 'just a scratch,' trying to downplay the seriousness of the situation. He and Sharon (Sharon Case) shared a kiss as they continued to grow closer. WATCH THIS: Soap Hub Says gives you the breakdown you don't want to miss! Solve the daily Crossword

GM Nihal Sarin became only the second Indian after Arjun Erigaisi to qualify for the Esports World Cup (2025) happening in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh. After failing to qualify at EWC through the two qualifiers, Nihal had to play through the Last Chance Qualifier in Riyadh, where he reached the finals of the Winner's Bracket after beating Russia's Andrey Esipenko, thus qualifying for the main event. Apart from Nihal, Anish Giri, Javokhir Sindarov and Levon Aronian also qualified for the EWC to complete the 16-player field for the main event. Nihal, representing Indian esports organisation S8UL, will now take on Sindarov in the final of the LCQ. GM R. Praggnanandhaa came agonisingly close to qualifying for the EWC but Anish Giri handed him a tough loss in the Armageddon in their match-up. Five-time world champion and world No. 1 Magnus Carlsen, world No. 3 and popular Twitch and YouTube streamer Hikaru Nakamura and reigning co-world blitz champion Ian Nepomniachtchi qualified for EWC after finishing in the top three of CCT's first event, the Chessable Masters, which was played in February. 'Put that in my will': Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan's final wish to return home to Australia revealed as he opens up about family and health at 85

Paul Hogan has spoken candidly about his health, family and legacy in a new interview, revealing the deeply personal- and unmistakably Aussie- farewell wish he's now made official in his will. The 85-year-old comedy legend, who now lives in Los Angeles, told Channel Seven's Sally Bowrey that when the time comes, he wants his ashes scattered from Sydney's iconic Harbour Bridge a place that holds deep personal meaning, given his early years spent working on it as a rigger. "I want my ashes scattered off the Harbour Bridge," he told Bowery in an interview, which aired Monday. "I put that in my will." While Hogan has travelled between LA and Sydney in recent years, his most recent trip in May sparked concern after he was spotted being wheeled through the airport by Qantas staff. But true to form, Hogan laughed off the attention with his trademark grin. "They got me in a wheelchair," he said. When asked directly about his health, Hogan didn't shy away. "Well, I have arthritis, and I have a knee, which, much to my embarrassment, I injured skateboarding… I'm an 80-plus skateboarder," he laughed. Bowrey praised his spirit, saying skateboarding as an octagenarian was no small feat. "Well, I've been a late starter all my life," Hogan replied. The Crocodile Dundee star, who penned the now-iconic script in just four weeks, reflected on his unlikely rise from blue-collar worker to global superstar. "One minute I'm a blue-collar worker on the Harbour Bridge, and next minute I'm meeting the Queen," he recalled. Born in Parramatta in 1939, Hogan first found fame in a chance appearance on the Nine Network's New Faces program, which led to a television career and a fateful partnership with the late John Cornell, his best mate and co-creator of both The Paul Hogan Show and Crocodile Dundee. At age 46, with four kids already, Hogan became an international sensation thanks to the 1986 blockbuster, winning a Golden Globe and scoring an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Despite the fame, Hogan says he still finds media attention overwhelming, especially when it comes to his youngest son, Chance, whom he shares with ex-wife and Croc Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski. "I get a bit annoyed with the press I get off the rags from my 'troubled son' Chance," he said. "He's pretty clever, because he knows… there's this paparazzi guy who lives down our street, and he plays it up. But he's actually a hero." Hogan added that Chance is still working hard to build his own career. The 27-year-old is currently the lead singer of punk band Rowdy P. "As soon as he does, I'll be back here (in Australia)- unless he comes with me, then I'll be back sooner," Hogan said. Bowrey said the interview left her touched by Hogan's signature wit and warmth. "He still has that gorgeous twinkle in his eye," she revealed after the interview on Sydney's 7NEWS. "He's just the most delightful person to interview and spend time with."
