Image Screenshot of the false post shared on Australian social media. The image was captured on July 22, 2025, and the red cross was added by AFP. The same image was shared by other Facebook users around the world, including in the United States, Canada and Greece. It did not just stay on social media -- several websites also published the image alongside articles about Trump's visit. The image circulated as Trump toured a new migrant detention centre in Florida in early July (archived here and here). The new facility, dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz", is built at the disused Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport deep in the Everglades, surrounded by swamps that are home to creatures including alligators and poisonous snakes. is a reference to Alcatraz Island, the former prison in San Francisco. of the Trump administration's determination to look tough as it pursues its policy of mass deportations of undocumented migrants. Some users in Australia appear to believe the image is genuine. "I wish the Australian government would put their foot down on immigration. Love this idea," a user wrote. Another commented, "That is A Huge Active Moat! surrounding it. At Their Peril if they try to Escape!" Inauthentic picture But the image is not a genuine depiction of the Florida detention centre, according to satellite images from Google Maps, which depict the location without a moat (archived link). Several visual inconsistencies suggest the image is fabricated, including the shape of the reptiles in the water, making them unlikely to be alligators. Harry Kane brace against Flamengo fires Bayern into Club World Cup last eight

KANE STARS AGAIN Bayern Munich's English forward Harry Kane celebrates next to teammates after winning the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 round of 16 football match between Brazil's Flamengo and Germany's Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 29, 2025. Picture: Chandan Khanna/AFP Image: Chandan Khanna/AFP Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich overcame determined resistance from Flamengo to book their place in the Club World Cup quarter-finals with an entertaining 4-2 victory on Sunday. Vincent Kompany's side will now play European champions Paris Saint-Germain in Atlanta on Saturday for a place in the last four. Flamengo, backed by a huge and passionate following at Hard Rock Stadium, bow out of the tournament despite a performance of real determination from Filipe Luis's team. It took just six minutes for Bayern to grab the lead when Joshua Kimmich whipped in a corner and Flamengo defender Erick Pulgar's header flashed into his own net off the far post. Four minutes later and Bayern had doubled their advantage. Dayot Upamecano won the ball inside Flamengo's half and fed Kane whose low shot deflected off Leo Ortiz and rattled into the bottom corner. German Champions vs. Copa Libertadores Winners: A Thrilling Match The German champions looked like they were going to run away with the game but the three-times Copa Libertadores champions were able to find a foothold in the game. Luiz Araujo forced Manuel Neuer into action with a dangerous snap shot and then the winger went close again with a shot on the turn which flew just wide of the post. Flamengo were rewarded for their efforts in the 33rd minute when after the dangerous Araujo played the ball in from the left, the ball fell to Gerson who unleashed a thunderbolt which rocketed past Neuer to bring the bulk of the 60,914 crowd to their feet. But all that good work from the Rio team was undone four minutes before the break when Araujo's poor clearance landed straight at the feet of Leon Goretzka who had the time and space to settle himself before, from over 20 yards out, placing his shot into the corner to make it 3-1.

Make the circle bigger! Mamelodi Sundowns showcase Mzansi flair with dance moves after Club World Cup exit

CELEBRATIONS Sundowns' Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro looks on at the end of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Group F football match between South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Brazil's Fluminense at the Hard Rock stadium in Miami on June 25, 2025. Picture: Chandan Khanna/AFP They may have bowed out from the Club World Cup on Wednesday following their 0-0 Group F draw with Fluminense, but that didn't stop Mamelodi Sundowns from celebrating after the final whistle. Coming into the premier club football competition in the world, the Betway Premiership champions were not expected to trouble some of the heavy hitters in the group. Instead, Sundowns beat South Korean outfit Ulsan HD in their first outing, competed strongly with German giants Borussia Dortmund before going down 4-3 and finally they drew with the Brazilian side Fluminense. There's no disputing that Sundowns punched above their weight, but it was also a good indicator of just how good they really are - if their eighth successive league title in a row this season did not do the trick.

Mamelodi Sundowns bow out of Club World Cup with heads held high

TOUGH DRAW Sundowns' Brazilian forward #10 Lucas Ribeiro drinks water during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Group F football match between South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Brazil's Fluminense at the Hard Rock stadium in Miami on June 25, 2025. Picture: Chandan Khanna/AFP Image: Chandan Khanna/AFP Mamelodi Sundowns bowed out of the Club World Cup following their 0-0 Group F draw with Fluminense at Hard Rock Stadium, in Florida, USA, on Wednesday. Fluminense captain Jhon Arias flashed a shot across the face of goal and wide for Fluminense late in the first half. German Cano came close for the Rio de Janeiro side after the break, while Sundowns enjoyed more of the possession over the 90 minutes but could not get the win they needed to progress in front of a crowd of 14,312. Their exit means none of the four African clubs who came to the tournament will feature in the last 16, but Sundowns' performances mean they can go home with their heads held high. We had a clear objective in this match, but I am very proud of the level the players performed at,' said the South African champions' coach, Miguel Cardoso. 'We leave and go home with our heads up because we are much stronger than we were when we came here.' In the other Group F game, a solitary first-half goal by Daniel Svensson gave Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 win against Ulsan HD as the Germans secured a place in the last 16 of the Club World Cup. Dortmund's second straight victory by a one-goal margin, following their 4-3 defeat of Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, was watched by only just over 8,000 spectators in Cincinnati, among them US Vice President JD Vance and FIFA chief Gianni Infantino. It means Dortmund qualify for the last 16 as winners of Group F, while Fluminense go through behind them in second after holding off Sundowns in a goalless stalemate played at the same time in Miami.
