Seamus Power squeezes inside projected cut at Charles Schwab
Seamus Power has squeezed just inside the projected cut-line following a second round 67 at the Charles Scwhab Challenge but isn't yet sure of a weekend tee-time.
Power was up against it after struggling to a three-over par 73 following a messy opening nine on Thursday.
However, the two-time PGA Tour winner recovered with a bogey-free three-under par round on Friday. Starting on the first this time, Power birdied the opening two holes before adding another at the seventh to reach the turn in three-under.
He was consistent from there, parring his way home though was unable to give himself any real birdie opportunities on the back nine.
That currently leaves Power on tied-63rd, with his even par total just inside the projected cut line, though with a portion of the field still to complete their second round
America's Ben Griffin and Germany's Matti Schmid currently share the lead on 11-under par.
Griffin - who won the recent Zurich Classic with Andrew Novak - and the 27-year old Schmid both carded blistering rounds of 63 on Friday.
Overnight leader John Pak is one stroke adrift on 10-under par, albeit with six holes remaining in his round.
Chris Gotterup is in fourth spot on eight-under, while Rickie Fowler and JJ Spaun are also in the top-10, among a group of players on six-under.
