Happy Helpers touch hearts through kindness and generosity
Since 2020, the Happy Helpers have been on a heartfelt mission to support those in need, spreading kindness and hope across the community.
This incredible organisation was founded by Bandile Pequlane, an 18-year-old with not just a radiant smile but a heart full of generosity.
Bandile was inspired by a church initiative called the House of Malachi, which sparked her passion for helping others and making a real difference.
'I got involved because I saw how much impact even small acts of kindness could have,' Bandile explained. 'That inspired me to do more for my community.'
Bandile isn't working alone; she's joined by amazing women like Patience Magagula and Minenhle Sithole, all guided by the African philosophy 'Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu', which means 'A person is a person through other people.'
The Happy Helpers provide daily essentials, including sanitary pads, gently used clothing, and school supplies, to those who need them most.
They also support local sports events in Klarinet by donating warm soup and bread, helping keep the community's spirit alive and well.
In addition, they have partnered with the Cheerful Givers, led by Sibusiso Magigi, to further their goal of spreading dignity and hope.
Bandile's talents don't stop there; she's also making a name for herself in the modelling world, currently a semi-finalist for the Face of Emalahleni 2025.
The Happy Helpers invite everyone to join their cause.
Whether through donations, sponsorships, or volunteering, every hand helps build a stronger community.
'Our doors and hearts are open for financial support and sponsorships because it truly takes one person to uplift another,' she said.
