Anne Burrell's final season of Worst Cooks In America gets premiere date as cause of death remains a mystery

Food Network has revealed when fans can see the final season of the late celebrity chef Anne Burrell's Worst Cooks in America TV series. The chef was found dead in her Brooklyn apartment on June 17 at just 55 years of age, with no cause of death released quite yet. Another report revealed her husband Stuart Claxton found her deceased in the shower, surrounded by upwards of over 100 pills. Food Network announced her final season dubbed Worst Cooks in America: Talented and Terrible, will debut on Food Network Monday, July 28 at 9 PM ET, and will stream the next day on Max. The final season will feature, 'recruits who are professional performers and used to stealing the spotlight, but in the kitchen, they are dishing out disasters. Anne was joined by boot camp's newest mentor, Chef Gabe Bertaccini, 'as they worked together to turn these culinary flops into food masters.' 'Anne Burrell was a one-of-a-kind talent whose loss is being deeply felt by family, friends and fans," said Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery. 'With these special programming events, we hope to honor Anne and celebrate her impact on Food Network and beyond, and to offer fans a way to remember her passion and culinary prowess that ran through everything she did,' the statement added. The new season of Worst Cooks in America begins with the recruits showing off their 'signature showstopper dish, 'and in the main dish challenge, they tackle the ultimate test: recreating the chefs' 'winner winner chicken dinner.' They will receive guidance from Anne and Gabe as they, 'tackle restaurant classics, try to master global cuisines, and compete in the fan-favorite Remote Control Chef challenge, in their bid to be the best of the worst.' Last week, Food Network honored Burrell with a special block of programming featuring the celebrity chef, including episodes of Guy's Grocery Games and Worst Cooks in America. One of Burrell's friends opened up about her struggles with fame last week in an interview with Page Six. 'She made everything fun. She was a true force of nature. Her personality was so big,' the friend said before admitting how she struggled with fame. 'I know she kind of struggled — once she was on TV and was on her way to be a TV celebrity chef,' the friend added. 'With these special programming events, we hope to honor Anne and celebrate her impact on Food Network and beyond, and to offer fans a way to remember her passion and culinary prowess that ran through everything she did,' the statement added. 'She was famous, she was doing the food and wine circuit stuff. She was busy — I kind of felt like she wasn't totally happy,' the friend added. Anne had plans to expand her horizons and try her hand at acting and was even taking improv classes before her tragic passing. She appeared on Tori Spelling's Misspelling podcast back in March and said: 'Interestingly, I just started taking acting classes. I started yesterday, actually... It's like an improv for actors' class. 'I got there and it's like eight people in the class. I'm the oldest one. Every other person has like, "Oh, I have a master's in fine arts in theater."'
