A 46-year-old St. Paul man was struck and killed while walking early Saturday morning in St. Paul, authorities said. The state patrol's website contained the following details about the fatality: About 2:13 a.m. Saturday, Mark Anthony Todd, 62, of Cottage Grove, was driving a 2012 Subaru Forester south on Highway 52 at Alabama Street when his vehicle struck a pedestrian. Pedestrian 'walking in the roadway' fatally struck on Hwy. 52 in St. Paul

Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally struck by a motorist in St. Paul early Saturday. According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, the driver of a Subaru Forrester was southbound on Highway 52 at around 2:15 a.m. when they struck a pedestrian near Alabama Street. The pedestrian, identified as 46-year-old Cher Vang of St. Paul, was killed in the crash. The incident report says Vang was "walking in the roadway" when he was struck. A 62-year-old Cottage Grove man driving the Subaru was uninjured. Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
