Woman, 25, dies after her electric bicycle zips into Aiken County intersection
A woman riding an electric bicycle in Aiken County died when she was hit by a truck Thursday evening.
Cheryl Haynes, 25, was pronounced dead at about 9 p.m. Thursday at a local hospital, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.
Authorities say Haynes was riding an electric bike on Wagener Trail south of the town of Wagener when she was hit by a 2020 Dodge Ram. Investigators believe she failed to observe a stop sign at an intersection.
