Last Updated: An email threatening to blow up Bhopal's Raja Bhoj Airport was received by the airport director on Monday, claiming explosives were planted on-site. A bomb threat via email was received at Bhopal's Raja Bhoj domestic airport on Monday. According to the details, the email, received by the airport director, stated that explosives had been planted on the airport premises. The email also mentioned that the airport could be blown up at any time. Subsequently, the police were informed by the airport management, and investigations were ongoing. The police were trying to reach the sender via the IP address, it was known. The security at the airport was also being reviewed. On July 5, the Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express, going from Delhi to Durg, was delayed by almost an hour after it was halted at Jhansi railway station following a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax. After the train left Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi around 6 pm on Friday, an unidentified person called the railway helpline 139 and claimed that a bomb had been planted in a sleeper coach of the train, officials said. Teams of the Railway Police Force (RPF) dog squad and bomb disposal squad were called in. Other train arrivals were also diverted to other platforms. Earlier this month, a private airline's office at Pune airport received a bomb threat, following which checks were conducted at the international airport. However, nothing suspicious was found. 'You must evacuate the building urgently, people will die," it stated. A customer care executive of the airline read the email at around 6.45 am and alerted authorities, an official from Vimantal police station said. After being alerted, personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and local police conducted extensive searches in and outside the airport premises.

Jhansi: A bomb threat delayed the Durg-bound Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express on Friday night, when it was halted at Virangana Laxmibai Jhansi railway station for nearly an hour. The threat turned out to be a hoax, and the train resumed its journey after a thorough inspection. According to SP, GRP, Vipul Srivastav, after the train left Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi around 6pm on Friday, a call was recieved at the railway helpline 139, claiming that a bomb had been planted in a sleeper coach of the train. The railway control room in Lucknow started preparations for search of the train at Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi station. As the train reached the station at 11.31 pm, city magistrate Pramod Jha, SP (Railways) Vipul Kumar Srivastava, RPF commandant Vivekanand Narayan and security officials reached the spot and evacuated the platforms 2 and 3. Other trains coming to the platforms were diverted. All passengers were asked to deboard, and a thorough search was carried out. The police are now investigating to identify the three individuals allegedly mentioned in the conversation. An inspection confirmed that the unattended bags belonged to a train attendant. After an intensive search, the train departed at 12.30 am, much to the relief of passengers.
