Chhoriyan Chali Gaon's Dolly Javed Reveals If She Owes Her Career To Sister Uorfi
Last Updated: Dolly Javed, sister of Uorfi Javed, has joined reality show Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon. She revealed the advice given to her by The Traitors winner. Dolly Javed, the younger sister of social media sensation Uorfi Javed, is stepping into the reality TV spotlight with the upcoming show, Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon. Dolly spoke to News18 Showsha ahead of her rural adventure, revealing that this is her first real encounter with village life or at least the kind seen on TV. She also revealed what advice her sister gave her. 'I've not been to a proper 'gaon' before," she said with a laugh. 'Aaj kal toh villages bhi itne modern ho gaye hain. Jab tak mera bachpan tha, tab tak toh village mein AC bhi thi, TV bhi thi. Main toh araam se AC wale room mein baith ke TV dekhti thi (These days even villages are so modern. When I was a child, even in the village there was AC and TV. I used to comfortably sit in an air-conditioned room and watch TV)," she added. Asked if she has a strategy to survive the lack of luxury like no AC, burgers, or even a mobile phone, Dolly confessed, 'I still get scared knowing I won't get my phone for two months. I keep opening my fridge every five minutes for no reason. I don't have a strategy. I just want to be real." But is she expecting drama? 'Honestly, all the people I've met don't have that 'I want to fight' mindset. We're not here to create catfights, that's so old school. I want to win the villagers' hearts, do my tasks well, and learn something. That's what this show is about — gaon and gaon life." She added with a smile, 'Maine dher saare suits le liye hain. Bas unke saath baith ke baatein karni hain." (I've packed lots of suits. I just want to sit with the villagers and talk to them.) According to Dolly, people in villages aren't impressed by expensive things. 'They just want to connect, and once you understand their culture, they start loving you." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mantsha Aslam (@_dollyjaved) Still, she admits there may be a culture shock. 'Definitely. I'm hoping they have a tabela (cowshed) there," she joked. Dolly is no stranger to the reality show format. She explained, 'As a kid, I used to think they were scripted. But once I entered the industry, I realised they're not. You go a little crazy inside. You don't even know what you're doing." Though she loves doing reality shows, acting is still on the cards. 'Acting is definitely something I want to pursue in the future. But right now, I love that I can just be myself on these shows." Speaking about her sister Uorfi, Dolly said, 'She's only given me two tips — one, whether you win or lose, it's not the end of the world. Two, be real. People will love you for who you truly are." And when asked if she owes her rise to Uorfi, she responded gracefully: 'Uorfi has supported me so much and gave me that push. But I also know if I don't work hard, I won't reach anywhere. She helped me realise I could dream." But that's what will be shown – that I was real. Humans aren't perfect. We're made with flaws." Does it affect her mental health? 'Of course, it takes a toll sometimes. But you know what they say – ignorance is bliss. Criticism comes hand in hand with love." Chhoriyan Chali Gaon will premiere on Zee TV soon. Anita Hassanandani On Joining Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon: 'You'll See My Real Side'
Anita Hassanandani returns to TV in Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon, a reality show with 11 celebrity women living rural lives. She embraces the unscripted format and is excited. Popular television star Anita Hassanandani is all set to return to the screen in a never-seen-before avatar. The actress is one of the contestants on the upcoming TV reality show Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon. The show, which features 11 celebrity women ditching the glitz to live the rural life, promises raw emotions, real tasks, and a slice of India that's often far removed from city lights. Speaking to News18 Showsha exclusively, Anita opened up about what drew her to the concept. 'In the show, you will see the real side of me. I will be in no make-up and less decked up. We will be doing what village people do, we'll be interacting with them. It's going to be a different show. It's more real," she said. When asked what made her say yes to this new venture, she shared, 'I took it up mostly because it's a different concept. It has all the flavours you need in a successful show. It has fun, it has comic elements, it has the cuteness, it has emotions, it has, you know, task-like, competitive nature. I think all the qualities that are needed in a successful show, I think are there in this show, and I just hope that the show does really well." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Zee TV (@zeetv) Anita is entering this journey with a refreshingly grounded mindset. 'My strategy is simple – go in with an open heart and mind, give 100 per cent, and try to win as many tasks as possible. I'm not overthinking, just diving into every stunt and learning everything I can. I want to come back saying, 'I did this!' It's a whole new adventure for me at this stage in life, and I'm really excited." And if you're wondering whether the show is scripted like many other reality formats, Anita clears the air: 'Not at all! We were clearly told there's no script, no pre-planned interactions. It's as real and candid as it gets—less drama, more tasks, bonding with villagers, and just staying true to the experience." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anita H Reddy (@anitahassanandani) With 11 strong-willed women under one roof, does she foresee clashes? 'I doubt it. I think it's going to be more competitive. Yes, catfights might happen, but during a task. It will never happen, I don't think it will ever happen, off the task. If something happens in the passion of the task, then it will happen. But apart from that, nothing will happen." On whether the stylish, well-known faces might feel out of place in the rural setting, Anita had a beautiful take. 'I think that is the beauty of it. They are taking us from our comfort zone and putting us there. So, it's not going to look entirely comfortable. But it's going to look very pleasing to watch. How these people are doing it. For a week, your eyes will be like, oh my God, what are they doing? But when we will get better, I think even the audience will start realising that they are adapting. So, I think it's going to be a journey." While the experience sounds exhilarating, leaving behind her young son Aarav wasn't easy. 'I think Aarav is definitely going to miss me. I am going to miss Aarav. But I think Rohit (her husband) convinced me that don't worry, we'll be fine. It's a clean concept. His support really was everything. And then my mom-in-law is also very close to Aarav. Everybody is there, my mom, my sister. So, I think he'll be fine." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anita H Reddy (@anitahassanandani) With this bold new step, does Anita see herself stepping into Bigg Boss territory next? 'In future probably. I don't know. I am just focusing one step at a time. And I am very excited for the show." So, what lies ahead for her post-Chhoriyaan? '100% lots of work. I think it's going to open a lot of avenues. Now I am back and I am ready to work." And if Yeh Hai Mohabbatein ever returns for Season 2? 'Of course I would want to do it. Why not? It was a super hit show, I would definitely want to do it." Anita Hassanandani is best known for her roles in hit TV shows like Kkavyanjali, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, and Naagin 3, where she played the fan-favorite character Vishakha. On the big screen, she gained recognition with films like Krishna Cottage, Kucch To Hai, and Ragini MMS 2. Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon will soon premiere on Zee TV.
