Queensland man in custody following alleged seizure of weapons from Kilkivan farm
A Queensland man has faced court following a raid on his farm that led to the alleged seizure of a large number of firearms.
Police executed a search warrant at Andrew Heta James Whittall's Kilkivan property on Sunday and allegedly discovered shotguns, rifles, pistols, gun components, ammunition, a mace, drug utensils, chemicals and a stolen Queensland firearms licence.
The operation, which was launched as part of a domestic violence investigation, involved local police, a dog squad and other specialist units.
Mr Whittall, 45, was remanded in custody after facing Gympie Magistrates Court today.

He has been charged with three counts of contravention of a domestic violence order and one count each of unlawful possession of 10 or more weapons.
Mr Whittall has also been charged with unlawful possession of weapons category M, possessing relevant substances, authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), failure to dispose of needle and syringe and receiving tainted property.
Chief Inspector Mike Miley said it was "concerning that this man was allegedly in possession of a significant quantity of unlicensed firearms".
