9-1-1: Nashville's LeAnn Rimes Reveals Surprising Detail About Her Character: ‘There's No Way!'

Much about LeAnn Rimes' character on 9-1-1: Nashville remains a mystery, but thanks to a new interview with TVLine sister site Flow Space, at least we know what she'll smell like! (Yes, you read that correctly.) In preparation for her first series-regular TV role, Rimes reveals that she has created a signature scent 'in honor' of her new character — a blend of rosewood, tobacco, leather, black pepper and the wood scent oud. 'Fragrance is super-emotional for me,' the singer says, likening it to music in that way. More from TVLine New Rookie Spinoff Inching Closer to Pilot Order - Who Would You Cast in Lead Role? Eva LaRue Leaving General Hospital The Bachelor (Finally) Renewed at ABC, Gets New Showrunner She also dropped an intriguing little nugget about her character — she's a mother! According to Rimes, the crew on 9-1-1: Nashville found this tough to swallow: 'They were like, 'Oh, wow, we heard you're going to be playing a mom. What? There's no way you're old enough to play a mom!'' Meanwhile, Rimes has been running lines with husband Eddie Cibrian, whose experience with TV procedurals ranges from Third Watch to CSI: Miami. 'I get really nervous doing that in front of him, but he's been super helpful,' she admits. Premiering this fall on ABC, 9-1-1: Nashville stars Chris O'Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe, with Jessica Capshaw as Don's horse-whispering wife Blythe and Michael Provost as their son Ryan. The cast also includes Hailey Kilgore as singing firefighter Taylor, Juani Feliz as trauma surgeon-turned-firefighter Roxie, Hunter McVey as bad-boy firefighter Blue, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley is a yet-undisclosed role. An exact premiere date has not been announced, but we do know that new episodes will air Thursdays at 9/8c, between 9-1-1 and Grey's Anatomy. ‘9-1-1: Nashville': ABC Spinoff Unveils Explosive New Teaser

Appropriately set to a cover of Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire', ABC has released an explosive new teaser for 9-1-1: Nashville, which shows fiery tornados racing across Music City, apparently the spinoff's first disaster for the city's emergency response team. As in previous iterations of 9-1-1, the new spinoff is an action procedural about heroic first responders, which also weaves in a family saga of power and glamour set in Tennessee. Murphy, Minear and Rashad Raisani will serve as executive producers and writers, with O'Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk and Bassett also executive producing. Craig Erwich, president, Disney Television Group, spoke with Deadline last month about the upcoming spinoff. 'I think that the 9-1-1 team are truly the masters of event-izing television, the way that be-nado kicked off 9-1-1 last year,' Erwich said. 'They have a really special event planned for 9-1-1: Nashville, and although we haven't discussed [crossovers], I think it's an incredible opportunity that I'm sure at some point we'll figure out how to capitalize on. What the 9-1-1's been able to do, it's really a master class in television, which is consistently event-izing that show to keep it fresh after all these many years, my hat's off to [showrunner] Tim {Minear] and Ryan for that.' 9-1-1: Nashville premieres this fall on ABC. ABC In Fall 2025: Unimpressively Safe With Just One New Series

ABC's fall 2025 primetime line-up will feature only one new series, "9-1-1" spinoff "9-1-1: ... More Nashville." Unlike earlier schedule announcements by CBS, NBC and Fox, there is one surprising programming move on ABC's fall 2025 primetime line-up. Shark Tank, which returns for season 17 in the Wednesday 10 p.m. ET hour. It follows new seasons of comedies Shifting Gears and Abbott Elementary from 8-9 p.m. ET and The Golden Bachelor at 9 p.m. ET. But mirroring NBC and Fox, which is not necessarily a positive, is only one new ABC series, 9-1-1: Nashville, which airs out of parent 9-1-1 and into granddaddy medical drama Grey's Anatomy on Thursday. From Ryan Murphy, 911: Nashville, is described as a 'high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America's most diverse and dynamic cities." It stars Chris O'Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Otherwise, the password for ABC, which is unhappily familiar, is 'safe.' Monday is ESPN's Monday Night Football. Veteran Dancing with the Stars returns on Tuesday into the sophomore hit High Potential, which proves there is room for new hit shows on broadcast television. Stepping into the Friday 8 p.m. ET hour in place of Shark Tank is Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, which leads into perennial investigative newsmagazine 20/20 from 9-11 p.m. Saturday is College Football (translation: time period filler). And Sunday is stalwart America's Funniest Home Videos into three hours of films under The Wonderful World of Disney umbrella. Titles will include Avatar: The Way of Water, Elemental, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3 and Wakanda Forever. No new ABC series have been announced for midseason. And new seasons of returning series American Idol, Celebrity Jeopardy!, The Rookie and Will Trent will debut in 2026. Fall premiere dates will be announced at a later date, as well as additional midseason announcements and renewals. The bottom-line: Another day, another lackluster primetime broadcast schedule for next fall. Football on Monday, of course, is a given for ABC. But a better option on Tuesday would have been the return of a scripted drama trio that worked well in this midseason: Will Trent, High Potential and The Rookie. Dancing with the Stars could have moved to Sunday, which a) would have been a big move, and b) would be a more competitive option opposite football on NBC that a lackluster film package under the Disney banner. And, let's face it, Grey's Anatomy has to eventually be shown the door. As the broadcast networks continue to fight for an audience, the way to do it is with creativity and strategic moves. Other than CBS, which has created a primetime line-up tailored to its core audience (50+), the programming pickings look slim elsewhere. Here is ABC's primetime line-up this fall: x Monday 8:00 p.m.: Monday Night Football Tuesday 8:00 p.m.: The Voice 10:00 p.m.: On Brand with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday 8:00 p.m.: Chicago Med 9:00 p.m.: Chicago Fire 10:00 p.m.: Chicago PD Thursday 8:00 p.m.: Law & Order 9:00 p.m.: Law & Order: SVU 10:00 p.m.: The Hunting Party Friday 8:00 p.m.: Shark Tank 9:00 p.m.: 20/20 Saturday 8:00 p.m.: College Football Sunday 7:00 p.m.: America's Funniest Home Videos 8:oo p.m.: NBC Sunday Night Football (also live on Peacock)
