She should adopt similar tactics from barrier 13 in a race where there are only a few frontrunners on paper. NEXT BEST KNOBELAS (R4 No.9): Knobelas has dominated from the front in her past two, winning both by more than three lengths, and looks an exciting prospect. She could get her way again stepping up to Saturday city class. MOLLYNICKERS (R9 No.3): Mollynickers gets another chance after getting too far back from the wide draw last start, and can settle closer here from an inside barrier. LAY OF THE DAY CAPTAIN ELECTRIC (R5 No.10): Captain Electric is backing up after a poor run in a BM78 last Saturday and now takes on some tough stayers. She was a month and a half between runs and will take catching here against her own age. NEXT BEST THE BLACK CLOUD (R6 No.3): Sydney sprinter The Black Cloud made a pleasing return with a close second at Canterbury and just needs to go on with it now. His last win was a year ago at Flemington but he has been contesting stronger races, including a couple of Group 3s. VALUE BET LIM'S SALTORO (R9 No.3): Ex-Hong Kong galloper Lim's Saltoro should be ready now third-up in an open race. He has form around War Machine and Jimmy The Bear, beaten just 1½ lengths behind the latter at Caulfield last time out. She has Craig Williams engaged for her first attempt down the Flemington straight. NEXT BEST TAKEN (R4 No.1): Taken is flying with three consecutive wins including at the track and distance by three lengths last start. He jumps up in the weights for winning handicap races but takes on mostly benchmark and maiden performers here. He'll make his own luck on the speed with Craig Williams on board. JIMMY THE BEAR (R8 No.3): Jimmy The Bear was too far back from a wide barrier when second to Oh Too Good at Flemington last start. He stays at the track and trip and can settle closer from barrier two.
