Would Young and the Restless Kill Damian After July 14?

On the July 14 episode of The Young and the Restless, Damian got stabbed. (And maybe also poisoned?) His life hangs in the balance. Also in the balance? Our sanity. Why would The Young and the Restless…. For weeks before viewers saw Damian (Jermaine Rivers) on Y&R, they heard about him. Amy (Valarie Pettiford) couldn't stop talking about him, Nate (Sean Dominic) couldn't stop talking about him, and even Audra (Zuleyka Silver) got into the act. We got a Damian fake-out when Holden (Nathan Owens) pretended to be Nate's missing brother and Amy's missing son. That build-up was second only to the mystery of Who Is Aristotle Dumas. And now we know that Dumas is Cane (Billy Flynn). And Cane and Dumas are at odds, not just about business, but over Lily (Christel Khalil), as well. Why would Y&R introduce Damian with so much fanfare if they were only planning to kill him almost immediately? MORE: Find out what happens next on Y&R. Maybe it's an issue with the actor. Either he wants to leave, or The Powers That Be aren't happy with his performance. But if that's the case, why not recast? Rivers has only been on the canvas since February 3. Fans like him well enough. But we are not overly attached. A recast wouldn't be too bad after only six months on the air. We've been strongly urged to care about Damian. So why nip that in the bud? Why would Y&R introduce Damian with so much fanfare if they were only planning to kill him almost immediately? WATCH NOW: Big drama! Hot takes! Watch SoapHub Says now! Yes, mysteries are fun, especially the locked room kind, which is what the story in France is supposed to be. A bunch of people with complicated relationships with each other, all locked up. No one can get in, no one can get out. So it has to be one of them. (Obviously, the people who cool and clean aren't people, so they can't be suspects. And Cane and Adam [Mark Grossman] can come in and out, but we're not supposed to remember that, either.) But mysteries are only fun if we care about the victim. And Damian isn't there yet. Why would Y&R introduce Damian with so much fanfare if they were only planning to kill him almost immediately? Think you've cracked the next twist? Send it to news@

What Happened to Cane on 'The Young and the Restless'?

What Happened to Cane on 'The Young and the Restless'? originally appeared on Parade. The Young and the Restless just revealed Cane Ashby is back in the mix, and he's the infamous Aristotle Dumas. However, Lily's (Christel Khalil) ex-husband has a whole new look this time around. Daniel Goddard created the role of Cane in 2007. In 2019, the actor was let go from the CBS soap after Daniel and Lily finalized their divorce spring, Goddard got the rumor mill buzzing that he was returning to Y&R, but that was not the case. Goodard joinedGeneral Hospital in the mystery role of Henry Dalton. In what was probably one of the worst-kept secrets in the soap world, Days of Our Lives star Billy Flynn has taken over the role of Cane. News broke in March that Flynn had wrapped his run on Days of Our Lives and had joined The Young and the Restless. After the not-so-big reveal, Flynn spoke with TV Insider about this new version of Cane. 'What Daniel did was amazing — he was great as Cane — and obviously, the relationship that Cane and Lily had is a testament to their work. Cane is a fascinating character. Essentially, we're going to rebrand it a bit, so they have a closer age range, and I don't have a sexy accent. I can't replicate it, so I'm going to do my thing. When people see this Cane and the relationship that I have as Cane with Lily, I think they'll be happy,' he spilled. One thing that won't change is the fact that Lily has always been the great love of Cane's life. From what we have seen, Flynn and Khalil appear to have great chemistry, which is a plus for fans accepting a new actor in a role. Cane Ashby is back on The Young and the Restless with a new look, a new vibe, and a new alias. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. What Happened to Cane on 'The Young and the Restless'? first appeared on Parade on Jun 20, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 20, 2025, where it first appeared.

The Young and the Restless spoilers: Cane reveals himself as Aristotle Dumas, but does he have an even bigger surprise coming?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. We hate to brag, but we told you so. After months of dealing with The Young and the Restless mystery of who's behind Aristotle Dumas, in the episode airing on June 20, the big reveal occurs, and it's Cane Ashby, now played by Billy Flynn. Of course, we can't call ourselves surprised as we've been speculating that Cane was Aristotle for a while, given the timeline of Aristotle's emergence and his fascination with the Winters family and Chancellor. The big unveiling happens at Aristotle's big shindig at his Nice summer home. After most of Aristotle's invited guests complete the maze he had them navigate through, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) pulls Lily (Christel Khalil) to the side and says that Aristotle would like to introduce himself to her before he makes his debut to the rest of the Genoa City residents present. A skeptical Lily follows Amanda until they reach Cane, who has his back to Lily. As soon as Amanda leaves, Cane turns around, and Lily is left completely stunned. At first, she assumes Cane is just crashing the party. But then he insists that he's actually Aristotle and has been using the alias to become a billionaire tycoon (in six years). Apparently, he wanted the allure of Aristotle to be separate from his actual identity as Cane. Lily becomes furious with all the stunts Cane has pulled and the deception. When she asks if he forced their twins to lie about his 'double life,' he's adamant he didn't. She understandably wants more of an explanation for all of this, and he tells her she'll get one, but after he shows his face to his other party guests first. A fuming Lily storms off to try and reunite with Devon (Bryton James) and Damian (Jermaine Rivers), but she gets lost along the way, causing her to panic. When she screams for help, Devon and Damian come to her rescue, and she tells them all about Cane. Both men are left flabbergasted. Fast forward to the end of the episode, and Cane appears in front of the rest of the partygoers, and everyone is shocked except for Victor (Eric Braeden). Apparently, he already knew Cane was Aristotle. Having said all of that, we can't help but think Cane has one surprise in store for Victor that he didn't see coming. After all, with Victor being a masterful tactician and ruthless businessman, if Cane really is after Chancellor, he's going to need one heck of a plan to get it. Fueling our hunch that Cane has a big reveal for Victor in store is the following preview/behind-the-scenes clip. In it, Adam (Mark Grossman) pops up in France to join the Newmans. He wasn't originally invited, and he had no plans on going to Europe, but he made the trip to deliver some important information he's learned about Aristotle that Victor's 'not going to like.' So what could Cane have waiting for the Newman patriarch? We can't say. However, with Chance (Conner Floyd) also arriving in Nice soon, perhaps Cane was able to gather evidence to prove Victor committed a crime in Genoa City (or Cane is framing Victor for a crime), and Chance is there to haul Victor to prison. We also can't rule out the possibility we raised weeks ago that Cane somehow was able to get a foothold into Newman Enterprises. Cane attacking Victor's crown jewel is actually brilliant if he's able to use the attack as leverage to get Victor to begrudgingly part ways with Chancellor. For now, even with Cane revealing himself as Aristotle, we're left with more questions than answers about his motive and future intentions. New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. Episodes become available to stream on Paramount Plus the next day.

Cane's Truth Comes Out in Y&R Spoilers for June 23

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, June 23, demonstrate that it's not enough for Victor to be right about all things all the time. He has to make sure everyone knows how right he was about all things all of the time, by insisting that Cane explain about how right Victor was all the time. So, you know, a lot of that. Billy Flynn is Aristotle Dumas! And Aristotle Dumas is Cane Ashby (now, 97 percent less Australian). Lily (Christel Khalil) is shocked. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is shocked. Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) are shocked. Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are shocked. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is shocked. But not Victor (Eric Braeden). Victor is not shocked. Victor knew it all the time. Did you hear that, fellow party guests? Victor knew it all the time! And now that Cane has revealed himself, Victor peppers him with questions about how, when, why, and where, so that Victor can insist, as soon as Cane answers, that he knew that, too. He did. Everybody clap for him. MORE: Find out what Adam is doing next week on Y&R. While Victor dominates the conversation, the rest of the party guests break into small groups to discuss how shocked they are. Lauren (Tracy Bregman), Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc), Abby (Melissa Ordway), and Chance (Conner Floyd) soon arrive to join the shocked brigade. But you know who is the most shocked? Lily! She's also been shocked the longest, since Cane revealed himself to her first. She shares how shocked she is with those who are currently less shocked (time-wise). WATCH THIS: Did you know Soap Hub has a podcast?! Check it out here! While guests wonder why Chance was invited, and try to remember if he is still a businessman or a cop? We wonder about Cane's son, Sam. Sam left town as an infant. But it's been long enough that, in soap opera time, he could easily be a teen by now. And might make a good addition to the Genoa City teen scene, since he is barely related to anyone, unlike the convoluted family trees of the Abbotts and Newmans.

The Young and the Restless spoilers: Amanda drops a big clue as to Aristotle's identity?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The guessing game of the true identity of The Young and the Restless' Aristotle Dumas continues, as we still have no confirmation as to who the mystery billionaire is. However, in The Young and the Restless episode airing on May 16, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) pops back into town with some Aristotle news. It all starts with Lily (Christel Khalil), Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) all receiving individual text messages, summoning them to attend a meeting with Aristotle Dumas at Society. When the three of them arrive, they become suspicious of why they weren't just invited via a group message, and are further wary about what is going on. Lily, in particular, notes about Aristotle's love of the dramatics, and the Winters/Hastings crew as a whole wonder if Aristotle is actually going to show to tell them what he wants. As Lily, Devon and Nate huddle around, further discussing the matter at hand, in walks Amanda, shocking them all. They ask Amanda what she's doing back in town, and she makes it clear she's there to meet them on behalf of Aristotle and is the one who sent the text messages. After Jill (Jess Walton) sold Chancellor, Amanda was a free agent, and Dumas reached out to her with a job offer, working as his attorney. She accepted the position, and she's in Genoa City today to answer their questions about her boss. Amanda first confirms that Aristotle is in fact, a man, and she's actually met him, unlike Damian (Jermaine Rivers). She then informs the trio that Aristotle has no interest in Winters, but has a deep admiration for the company and them individually. Interestingly enough, Amanda invokes Neil's (Kristoff St. John) name, claiming Aristotle admired him very much and believes Winters 'perfectly embodies Neil's approach to business.' Allegedly, Aristotle added that Neil would be very proud of them. Devon and Lily naturally ask if Aristotle knew Neil, but Amanda doesn't say. Tired of the riddles, they ask Amanda point-blank, what Aristotle is after. Amanda assures them it's not Winters but Chancellor. Aristotle wasn't pleased that Victor (Eric Braeden) purchased Chancellor and ousted Billy (Jason Thompson) in the way he did. Amanda personally was upset how Lily was fired by Billy before that sale happened, commenting on Lily being a real asset to Chancellor. When Lily, Devon and Nate go to Nate's apartment to discuss the shocking meeting with Amanda, they're all confused about what to think. They don't know if they can trust Amanda's motives, are confused about whether she knows Damian and are still suspicious of all things Aristotle. With all that being said, we're starting to wonder more than ever if Aristotle really is Cane or Tucker. Cane, in particular, admired Neil as his father-in-law and could speak to Neil as a businessman, and likely would know what would make Neil proud. Additionally, Cane also has always loved Lily, and it's not hard to picture him upset with the way Billy treated her at Chancellor, and how Victor subsequently played her over the company. He could be wanting to right a wrong for his ex-wife and the mother of his twin children. Although the original Cane portrayer, Daniel Goddard, is currently on General Hospital, we can't rule out him playing double duties in daytime soon. It's also possible that actor Billy Flynn is picking up the Cane mantle, given he's due to make a debut soon. So what do you think? Is Cane Aristotle Dumas or could it be another blast from the past like Tucker, or a member of the Prentiss family? New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. Episodes become available to stream on Paramount Plus the next day.
